Colored Status Bar does not work

Hey guys,
i wonder why all of the colored status bars (i tested like 5) do not work on my blackstone.
They are all from different themes/developers and came in a .cab file.
The only thing that got changed was the volume button.
All the others remained standard s/w

I use the files from orginal HD from Duttys 1.9 Rom. I made the battery percentage working and the rest is coming soon...

if a colored top bar doesn't work, it depends on the cooked rom u have. first, u gotta have a cert-free rom or SDKcert installed. than...it's better to don't install a topbar that is cooked on old .dll...but it's not possibile to know that before u try to. so...the last advisor is: avoid to install a topbar if ther's a modded start icon yet.

Rhodium start menu icons help

I'm using Dutty's 2.3 Xtreme ROM. The startmenu is based on the Rhodium roms (looks like the program tab, but with nicer icons ). However, the good-looking icons are only those that came with the rom, for example WMPlayer, settings, file explorer, etc. When you add a shortcut from lets say TomTom, it looks all crap with jagged edges. It's seems the iconholder upscales the icon or something so it's no longer at it's native resolution. I would like to be able to change the icon used for a certain shortcut myself to perhaps a higher resolution alternative.
It seems the used icon is controlled bij strings in HKLM\software\HTC\Manila. The string's name is the .exe used in the shortcut. It contains a file location to \windows\MPI_xxx.qct (\windows\MPI_wmplayer.qct, \windows\MPI_camera.qct, etc.). I know this, because when I change the path in lets say the wmplayer.exe string to that of the file explorer MPI file, the icon changes in the start menu. However, when I make a new string with a stringname for tomtom (tomtom navigator.exe) and make it's value the same as the fileexplorer, nothing happens...
So... help? I don't know what to try next due to my limited knowledge on the subject. Who can help me devise a way to use custom icons in the new startmenu?

You have to use the full path, not just the file name. Also, you have to use quotes.
For example: I wanted Resco File Explorer to use HTC's explorer icon, so I created a new string with the name:
"\Program Files\Resco Explorer\Explorer.exe" (quotes included)
And value:
\windows\MPI_fexplorer.qtc (no quotes here)

Yes... Thanks! Can I use it in WM 6.5? Just want to know because I dont want to do a hard reset when I fail.

I change my program icon directly in the program.exe file. this way both from startmenu and programs show the new icons. use resource hack to do it. you can also hack into the installation cab and change it there. so every time you change rom and reinstall, the new icon is there. just my way......need helpon that you can pm me

Now my only problem is the icons in Manila "Program" I want to change it to High Quality Icons.

TouchFlo 2D - Remove Top Curtain

Hi guys!
Can someone tell me how can i remove the top curtain that njormally apears with date and operator?
I tried the notopcurtain.cab file for touchflo3d but it didnt work.

No time and date in Lockscreen

If you do not like to see the time and date in lockscreen:
Replace this 3 files in Windows, and the *.cpr files in Windows\Lockscreen.
Soft reset.
To uninstall use the original files that are in the zip.
Tested in Rom 6.5.3 build 28005 and Manila 2.5 WVga
Valid for portrait and landscape.
The second zip is the same thing, but without the calendar symbol on bottom. See the second picture.

Acer n3xx Custom ROM + Kitchen

To begin with, I'd like to say hello to everyone here, since it's my first post in this forum.
Two weeks ago I decided to mod my Acer's ROM. The main point was to free some of the space in memory (aka LIGHT ROM ) I grabbed a Kitchen from 4pda.ru and after many many tries I managed to extract flash.dio from Football's ROM (WM6.1 build 19949) using the latest xidump. Finally, I edited the registry to make it run in 128 dpi mode, replaced 192 dpi files with 128 dpi ones, fixed some of the graphical bugs and deleted redundant (IMHO) apps like Office, WMPLayer, OneNote, BubbleBreaker , BackupRestore, etc.
Additionaly I cooked in CE Commander and WkTask.
That ate a lot of my free time and now I am really discouraged to develop it: recently I've noticed, that in some fullscreen apps like games (Worms World Part for instance) the touchscreen doesn't work properly. It seems to me that the image is scaled up to fill the screen, but there is still "unscaled" a small area where works the touchscreen. For example, when I want to close WWP I cant just hit the "X" button in the bottom left corner - I need to physicaly hit almost the centre of the screen to hit the "X" drawn.
I count on you guys and girls (if there are any ) that you will help me to fix all of the bugs and make the rom working completly well.
In 4shared folder (url in txt file attached) two archives: one with the flash.dio file compiled by me, and in the other one there is a Kitchen which I used. To build the Rom, use the "auto_xip" bat file included.
List of known bugs:
Real VGA mode doesn't work properly in particular fullscreen apps
Bluetooth Manager - icons needs to be resized in dll files in order to be displayed properly
Backlight - app from Acer's original ROM to control backlight settings in control panel is not stretching to the screen
Apps deleted from Football's ROM:
Entertainment (windows games)
Windows Media Player
Office
OneNote
Transcriber
WelcomeCenter
Changes in ROM:
128dpi instead of 192dpi
added OEM_Tweaks package for registry tweaks to use in the future if needed
added RemoteDesktopMobile - just out of curiosity
modified sd_insert and sd_remove sounds (aren't they too quiet?)
resized some OEM images to fit the resolution
no "Welcome tutorial" procedure after flashing the ROM - only screen adjustment is left (how about hardcoding the adjustment data into ROM's registry?)
Please, contribute by posting new ideas and/or trying to fix some of the bugs. TIA!
To flash the rom, format sd card to fat16 filesystem, copy flash.dio and chain.lst to ACERN300 folder on the sd card (case sensitive!). To run the flashing procedure, hold Home and Messages buttons and push the reset button, then quickly release buttons and hold Power button for 5 seconds.
IMPORTANT! YOUR BOOTLOADER MUST BE IN VERSION 1.24 IN ORDER TO RUN THIS ROM! REQUIRED FILES AVAILABLE ON DEMAND.
