hello guys,
i got a Galaxy Nexus a few days ago and i got root using this tool.after that i got this ROM and everything works fine!
today i saw the thread talking about the nightly build of CM10 and i wanted to test it,to see myself if i could have a "louder" external speaker.
Using the known procedure i tried to install it but i got an error message and installation stopped : installing update.assert failed: get.prop.(ro.product.device)==" maguro" ||getprop("ro.build.product")=="maguro"
I searched the forum and found this guide and this is what it says :
# begin build properties
# autogenerated by buildinfo.sh

ro.build.display.id=JRO03C

ro.build.fingerprint=google/takju/maguro:4.1.1/JRO03C/398337:user/release-keys
ro.build.characteristics=nosdcard
# end build properties
according this i have a "maguro" device right? if yes why i cant install CM.
*Sorry for the biiiig post but im confused
no one can help??

Seems to be the same firmware as XWJQ8.
Kernel is identical, build date and change log too.

Would you please share, witch method did you use to root this room!?
CF-Root-TAB7_XX_OXA_JQ1-v3.3-CWM3RFS does not work for me, the other methods mentioned in this tread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1380595&page=6 does not fully root in my opinion.
battery on this build is insane.. it goes 2% per hour on standby
on JQ8 its 1% per 1 1/2 - 2hrs
I've install the axiom rom and now the market won't let me download the apps. Saying my device isn't compatible.
Google it but nothing came up.
Can any one send me the stock 4.0.2 verizon gnex lte build prop?
Or put up the device id/model/manufacture part? So I can edit mine.
Thanks

Try this link,http://www.droid-life.com/2011/12/15/galaxy-nexus-roundup-ice-cream-sandwich-tips-bootloaders-extended-batteries-day-one-thoughts-and-more/ It's got all you should need.
Thanks but these are image files meaning few 100mb huge. When all I need is 100kb build prop or few lines off the build prop so I can edit mine.

Its most likely an error in your build.prop. replace the build.prop with one from another rom. Preferably a stock rom

hmm could u explain to me what that is and how i could fix that ?
your build.prop is located in /system. it is a text file that basically describes what phone you are using. It is how the play store identifies your phone. On a custom rom, there is most likely a typo or change somewhere in it that is causing the play store to not recognize your phone completely thus giving you half-assed results. Here is part of sprints stock build.prop as an example. the problem is most likely where the fingerprint is mentioned. Bold areas are the key areas where it would be checking. If you have another rom handy, pull this file out and place it in /system. Should fix your issue

haha nvm i fixed it. but thanks so much for your effort bro!
Don't overwrite the build.prop that's there though. Make a backup copy first.
A lot of custom roms have modded build.props to enable features, tweak performance, etc. Repacing with stock one could break other features while fixing another.
