This has probably been asked but I'm up against time here, so apologies.
My phone is being collected for repair any minute as it will not charge, as a result I am unable to connect it to my PC to lock the bootloader, is there any way of locking it without a PC/USB connection?

Hi,
i got a m8 which i unlocked via htcdev and it want to send it for warranty repair now.
The problem is that the phone won't boot!
I plug in the charger and nothing happens. After a couple of MINUTES the led shows up and the phone charges. But only sometimes.
With a little luck i can get into recovery and reinstall Viper or Leedroid ROM. But after successfuly installing the phone won't reboot and just turns off after the htc screen.
No matter what i try, it doesn't boot. But from time to time i can reach recovery.
So what can i do with in bootloader or recovery?
The biggest problem is the htc screen which is full of the red "not official release" stuff. How can i put this back to stock?
Thanks
Daniel
it would help greatly if we knew your CID and MID.
It's a unlocked non-carrier phone from germany. I think HTC_102 but i'm not absolutely sure.
Now nothing happens anymore besides the phone shows up as "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COM20)" in the device manager. When putting the Charger / Cable in the charging light flashes one time. If i put the charger just halfway in it lights up for about 2-3 seconds and turns off.

They won't take it back for warranty, because by unlocking the bootloader, you void your warranty. Your best bet is to flash RUU. Can you get the computer to recognize the phone by fastboot? Can you get the phone to boot into boot loader at all?
And also, have you made any modification prior to the incident other than unlocking bootloader?

At the moment - no. It won't even boot into bootloader. The last try is now a new battery. I opened it because HTC refuses the warranty anyway and maybe the battery is the problem. I don't think so but for 6 Euros I give it a try.

What modifications have you made to the phone prior to the incident other than unlocking the boot loader? Custom ROM, custom kernel or TWRP

This is the strange thing. I sent my m8 to HTC and they replaced the Mainboard. So the phone was completely new and stock. As the warranty was in the last days after this i immediately unlocked the bootloader officially using htcdev. Then I installed TWRP and MIUI 7 after this. Then I noticed the first time the phone was not turning on. It happened after unlocking but as I did the unlock immediately it maybe wasn't because of it. But as it is not my main phone I didn't really care and put it away. Now, about 3 months later I want to use it as my main phone for drone flying and I flashed Viper ROM and after it didn't boot LeeDroid. And now it doesn't turn on no matter what I do. Before I could manage to get into bootloader sometimes at least. I think the new main board has a defect but after 3 months, with no warranty and HTC unlocked they don't give a ****.

Yeah if you unlock the boot loader, you void your warranty

I know but I didn't make something wrong. I unlocked every bootloader of every phone and tablet I ever had so I think it's even the battery or a defective replacement Mainboard.

IDK but im going to say to try to boot into bootloader and the problem would be much easier to solve. If you manage to boot into bootloader, don't exit it and post here the 'fastboot getvar all' command on here. use this link from my google drive https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2FyBGshXWIxeHdPRy1zWXdwM1E/view?usp=sharing to get the adb.zip if you have a windows computer. extract the zip file, go into the adb bundle folder, sdk, platform-tool press shift and right click at the same time and select open command prompt here and type in fastboot getvar all (your phone have to be in fastboot mode.in bootloader, select fastboot) and post the results here.
Hi,
if I get the 360 hours wait time after attempting to unlock the bootloader, will I be able to use the phone in the mean time? Or will it be stuck at the watiting time screen?

Of course you can, the only thing is that once you unlock your bootloader, you will lose your data - except the one that you backup to the cloud
And do not change mi account from your mobile
So dang first of all this situation sucks I have the phone(A505GN) now for over a year.. and I'm having a hard time unlocking the boot loader so here's the method that I tried using.
1. I tried the method where you change date and update etc didn't work
2. Tried waiting for 168 hours didn't work
It's getting hopeless I can't flash anything except official rom dang it I hope someone can save me from this dreadful situation I freaking won't get any other samsung phone
I attached a picture of my download mode I can turn the frp lock off but can't turn off oem lock so this sucks HELP me please
@Lynjun002
IIRC an Android user can not unlock the bootloader without OEM unlocking, because without this process the device will not accept the bootloader unlocking command.

my download mode doesnt say anything about RMM i only have the line that says KG STATE : NORMAL
So there is no problem with rmm lock
And your phone is not the US varient
Actually you need to use your phone for 168 hours with internet connection on and no reboots. Did I do the same?

No need to factory reset. Reboot and start 168 hours with data ON and see if it helps. You can see your uptime somewhere in About phone. When it reaches 168 hours then check for updates and see if OEM lock appears

Hi there my fellow XDA enthusiasts,
A quick question regarding the bootloader unlock procerdure:
When you have got to the point where you are instructed to wait 168 hours, can you disconnect ypur phone from the computer and carry on using it? Or do you literally have to wait the entire time with your phone in fastboot mode connected to the computer?
Might seem obvious but i couldnt find an answer anywhere and there is no such thong as a stupid question
Thanks for your help

No, you can use as normal. Or just turn it off .
What I did was to put sime card back in original phone, then after time up, put sim into redmi and did the unlock
just use it as normal, you dont need data on or wifi, unless you want data on, makes no difference.
Hi all,
So my father bought about a year ago his galaxy a50 in a new sealed box from unknown reseller, and recently the phone got locked by the network operator due to unpaid tax invoice for this device. It seems like the guy purchased it and only paid the first rate, and then resold it to my father for a full price. The phone when turned on displays a huge notification on the lock screen menu and does not allow me to do anything. Tried hard reset, didnt help. Anyway, I also tried to flash a linearge os on that, but it threw an error because the OEM unlocking option is not ticked (However, I managed to unlock bootloader before the device went down).
And my question is, is there any way i can flash any custom rom to get rid of the blockade without unlocking OEM? or should i throw the device away?
Thanks for any feedback !

The hard way easier said than done :
0. Factory reset your phone
1. Find a smashed A50 cheap
2. Replace motherboard (open up adhesive with heat gun)
3. Put your motherboard into the smashed one
4. Sell the reassembled smashed one on eBay for parts only
5. Profit
yeah.. actually I dont have enough experience to do it myself, I guess I'll just sell it as it is
Can you reflash stock ROM on Odin as an final desperate attempt of re enable unlock bootloader?

So it does not even boot now?
It still can boot, but when i set it up with the minimum permissions (no google account , no wifi. anything) the blockade still comes up straight away

Yeah, even after hard reset - It is supposedly caused by the software called Samsung Knox.
