Overclocking and Underclocking on JandyCane - Kindle Fire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello! I would like to ask if it is possible to use Clock Speed apps on Jandycane. I assume it is but I would like to know for sure.
Thanks in advance!

Seems the same. Probably speed enhancements for slower phones. Probably has something to do with it building a cache for the images etc to load faster is all.

First a few questions, Is your bootloader locked or unlocked? Are you rooted? How much do you want to overlock?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=803682a is what I rooted with, I would like to possibly get 1.2 max and min ( stable)
If your bootloader is locked then you cant do anything to overclock. Having root isn't enough because you need a custom kernel
If its unlocked then you can flash a kernel an have max possible o/c of 2.0ghz.

so setting min onto1024 will be the best I can do?

That would be a really bad thing to do; that would mean that even when your phone is doing nothing, it would still be running at 1024Ghz, massively draining the battery

Personally I set the min to the lowest possible I think 124mhz? And max to 1.6 mhz but mines stable up to 2.0.

Why would you ever do this? There is no need/benefit; you're forcing the processor to run at a high speed than it needs.

Simply because it can and it works. Seeing a sing core phone double cpu speed is just fun. Havent seen that since the OG Droid.

I'm not talking about the maximum speed, I'm talking about setting the minimum clock speed to that amount. You're setting the phone to ALWAYS run at 2Ghz, even when it doesn't need it (you're phone doesn't need to be running at 2Ghz when you are just staring at the lockscreen). You should read this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overclocking
I don't need to read that. I know what I did and I know what your saying. I simply set it like that for the photo and for fun. I know what I'm doing thank u

[Q] CM9 OC not work?

I've been on Shadow and Shuriken excuse me if I misspelled it but no matter what when I over clock it past 1ghz, it stays at 1ghz. I'll set the minimum at 1.4 or now 1316mhz it just shows up as 1000mhz and won't go past that. Any suggestions? Yea I'm prepared to get flammed

Awesome...here we go...did you read the thread for the kernels you have used? They require you to enable the higher frequencies in Voltage Control or similiar app.

Yeah I am running the latest UltraLight ROM and I had a game of GTA: Vice City (full graphics) and a game of Dead Trigger (full graphics (Terga)) via Multi Window Mod and they both ran side by side with no lag. This phone is tits!
