It's huge. Can't use the form-hugging cases. Anyone have anything that's pretty close?
I cut the back out of my otter box. Works great. Now I have the case and the battery. . 3300mah

My subject says it all. Face it the any stock battery is too small, and everyone is buying the extd. battery, so why the heck can't they make hard cases that fit the Droid 2/D2G with extd. batteries?
Does anyone know of a hard case that will fit it, it would seem easy enough to add a second back and charge a few $$$ more for the extra plastic.
Verizon hard cases fit. They have a hump on back just for that reason. They thought ahead.

Thank you. I actually found one over the weekend at the Verizon store. Crappy part is the way it cuts down on the space at the top of the keyboard. I will get used to it, but not a big fan so far, nor of the price they charge.
If you use any case with the battery door removed it seems to work just fine. The extra lift from the extended battery seems to be about the same as the normal battery cover.
I use my seidio innocase with the extended battery but no door and it works fine.

Which case will fit the extended battery and also will be able to be used with the multimedia dock?
Too bad no Otterbox cases will fit the Droid 2 with the extended battery here
Just wanted to let everyone know that the otter box defender case works with the vzw extended battery and cover. Its a little tight. But it works. I was also able to get the battery in store for 24.99, honoring the online price, instead of 49.99

So I got a trexcell 3800extended battery and gotta say, I love it. Totally great for 20$.
BUT
I need a case. And can't seem to find out if the seidio covers will fit it?
The battery and door make it a bit bulky but comfy in the hand but I've dropped it twice now and it just snaps right out and sounds horrible and I don't feel like letting my gorgeous fone die.
Any suggestions?

I'm in the same boat right now. Not to many choices in accessories when it comes to extended batteries. You still have a couple of options though. Leather pouches, bumper cases (not all might fit)
the one I have my eye on is the seidio extended battery rugged cases. I have been looking at this for a bit now trying to see if it will fit over my mugen 4000 mah back cover door.

Both nexii in my house are using this huge battery but all we have so far is tpu. Is there anything a bit more...........secure at a reasonable price?
Would also like to hear about what others are using. Recently picked up a 3800 and using a Hyperion TPU.
Was wondering how a bumper case would work.
Was thinking about this aluminum case: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Aluminu...474?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35c2a6a79a
Being that its just around the side I don't think it would hinder reception much. If anyone could post some experience with it that be great, or some good plastic bumpers.
Love my seidio case. Costed a bit (add about $17 shipping to korea!) but more reasonable than a busted screen when I intend on keeping this phone for at least 3 years. Feels good in the hand.
I retired the 3800mah battery after a year.. Using the 2000mah stock battery but still loving this case. Thank goodness for 4.3.
Can't post links as a new user.. search "galaxy nexus seidio active extended case" on amazon or somewhere

Does anyone know of an extended battery case for the t989 that has better than 3000mah? I'm NOT talking about using an extended battery that replaces the original stock battery and requires you to modify the back of your phone, I'm talking about a case like this:
Cannot paste url because of forum rule...
Search Google for: PowerSkin for Samsung Galaxy S™ III
2nd result.
But instead of it being for the Samsung Galaxy S3 it would be for the T989, and it would have 3000mah or better.
Look in the accessories forum. There is one in thread about laza extended battery. A case that fits 3800mah battery.

I cannot find any good pictures to give me an answer myself. I want to make sure we are on the same page, this Laza extended battery case does NOT make you take off the stock back cover of your phone and does NOT make you switch out your stock battery, rather it is just a BATTERY CASE that slip over your phone just as any normal case would, correct?
No clue as i am not an owner of one. I saw it in the forum, it fits the extended battery cover. I'm sure it will fit the regular battery cover as well thou leaving a bulging void inside between the cover and the case

So basically, there isn't any battery case over 3000mah that fits the standard phone, just all the extended batteries with the modified back cover of the phone.

Not saying its true....but I've never personally came across one. Sounds cool tho!

I just don't understand why they don't exist in anything higher than 3000mah. I personally hate extended batteries, I know that this case solves the problem of making the phone level on a flat surface, but you're adding more width to the phone with the modified back cover, then you bulge it out even more with a case to level it; personally this sounds like a waste of money, and when you have your phone in your pocket, it will look like you have a brick in your pocket. Also, the extended batteries require more effort to remove than just removing a case. Thanks for your help guys. If anyone finds a solution to this, please post.
