i have several roms on my evo 4g however, i want to download other roms . i see other roms that have gapps as a file to download also .lets say i want to download a rom that has 3 or 4 files along with it .how can i flash this rom and do i have to wipe . i know when install of new rom you have to wipe .ive never installed a rom with 2 or more files so i need help in doing this
Do your regular full wipe > flash rom >wipe cache and dalvik cache > flash item 2 > wipe cache and dalvik > flash item 3 , ect, until you finish, then just reboot as normal.
im trying to download shooters with tweaks rom .and thanks for the reply man .have you used this rom ?

rom dev already made update script that will wipe all thing inside your phone when you flash his rom,you also can manually wipe data,dalvik and cache,no sd data will be wiped

Not always (TEAM does not do this. )
easiest way is to grab a Stock Firmware FTF file then flash it with Flashtool. there are huge big guides in general so i'll let you find them.
this will wipe everything and put the stock kernel on

Theese are the requirements:
⇒ baseband 70
⇒ New Baseband 72
⇒ 4.1.B.0.431 ICS 4.0.4 Root
⇒ CWM5.5.0.4 v7 Recovery
Be sure to have it or else install it prior to advancing to the next step.
"Settings/about phone" here you see baseband and and firmware of your phone.
You also gotta have root and cwm (the later you can get with an app called x-parts since you have a Xperia).
Now you have to do the following:
#wipe dat / factor reset
#wipe cache partition
#advanced / wipe dalvik cache
#Mounts and restore :
Format /Data
Format /system
Then you install the rom from within cwm when you've downloaded the rom to your sd-card (install zip)
Hope that info helped.
There are guides for each step here on xda if you just know what you want to do (for example: install cwm / root / upgrade firmware etc).

I was trying to install JB X4 ROM and the battery ran out. Now when I tried to install again from CWRM, it freezes on wiping the cache n says cannot format cache and freezes and the little android icon is lying down with its stomach open!!! Any ideas what to DO??? PLEASE HELP. I think my phone is bricked now

When you try to flash new rom your bettery must over 75% (recommended 100%). Try use ODIN to flash lastest & fresh recovery above.
If u still want to use CWM you need:
- Fresh rom (support ur device)
- ODIN for flash new recovery (your own recovery have problem?)
- wipe data + wipe cache + wipe devil (need for new rom)
- Install new rom with zip file (from ur sdcard)
if you download lastest version of any recovery mod above, you don't need use others.(exp: darkside super wipe,...) Try out me way, you can flash new rom easily

Here is a rooted stock 10.3.1.A.2.67 (Generic ES unbranded) rom.

Installation instructions:
If you're already running the 10.3.1.A.2.67 stock rom:
Copy the rom to your microSD
Backup any important data to your microSD
Boot into recovery and do a nandroid backup first
If you have CWM: select Wipe cache partition and wipe dalvik cache, go into 'mounts and storage' and select Format /system, then /data, then /cache
If you have TWRP: select Wipe then Advanced Wipe, tick Dalvik Cache, System, Cache and Data then wipe.
Install the rom and enjoy!
*the first boot will take a while just be patient
If you're running 10.3.1.A.0.244 or any previous firmware:
Copy the rom to your microSD
Make sure you update to 2.67 before flashing.

Finally, a stock deodexed .67 rom. My prayers have been answered. This was made specifically for the C6506? I'd like to have an LTE icon instead of just plain 4G. Thanks.
Not sure about 4g icon or lte icon but if i can modify somehow to change it so it shows lte, then it will be done I am still working on making the 2.67 ftf and from then I have to make a flashable .zip from it tht can be flashed through cwm and then I have to port the xperia z rom over So I have my work cut out for me And not to mention I have my daily life to live too so I can't be doing this 24/7 lol. That would just drain me.

cant flash via cwm.. getting error massage
Did you do full wipe of /system /data /cache /dalvik cache? in cwm? and did you do everything in the instructions?
Can you deodex this rom?
That can always be done through an app from the play store long as you have root
I don't see any app that does it. What is it specifically?
I also get an error when trying to flash this.
"E:Error in /storage/sdcard1/ROM.zip"
There's no MD5 signature to verify. I am using CWM v6.0.4.4 and coming from the latest CM 10.2 Nightly.
android tuner is able to do it. its a free app
i made this by simply putting it all together so make sure you don't have signature verification on in cwm otherwise it won't work. Its just basic stock odex. Deodex is easy with android tuner and root is required for android tuner of course.

Could be my mistake, or bad download...but flash did occur, without any error messages. However, it simply did not copy any files. All I was left was a SONY logo. Had to press off inside SIM compartment and use flashtool to fresh install a FTF via flashmode.
Is it me or I just can't see an option in android tuner for deodexing the rom.
when u optimize all apps it deodexs it automatically and tht its all in the settings its really extensive though u have to go through everything to find it. everything can be set on boot pretty much
So, this is a deodexed rom? or not a deodexed rom?
