CM 7.2 Video recording fail - HTC Wildfire S

Hello there!
I've installed the latest cm 7.2 and my problem is when I record a video it just stops in the middle (and I didn't stop it or touch it) and doesn't even save itself. I made a logcat where it even says deleting video.
Could someone help me with this?
here's the logcat: http://pastebin.com/AZ5JTeyJ

[Q] CM7 RC1 video playback issue

I used CM7 RC0 and video playback of all my recorded videos worked.
Now I have installed CM7 RC1 and some of my videos have issues during playback. The videos do play, however on certain times it freezes, (is skipping back and forward between frames) and then continues until the next freeze. Someone also mentioned something like this in the developers forum.
It seems that all videos recorded with CM7 RC0 and stored as .m4v file also work good in CM7 RC1.
All videos recorded with the original motorola software and stored as .3gp have the described issue since installing CM7 RC1.
Does anybody know a workaround for this issue?
It is a known issue and probably will be fixed in upcoming nightly..

Thanks for the quick response.
Are the current nightly stable enough for normal users, or should I wait for a next RC?
they r completely stable...sometimes there will be one or two bugs..but for normal use it is more than enough..as u can see this RC1 had more bugs than usual nightlys..
i find nightlies stable enough...and even if there r few bugs, they will be fixed in next nightly..
I think the developers of CM7 for Defy don't use the normal software release life cycle... so I wouldn't call the "last stables" or RC unless they wouldn't plan to add 720p recording.
A RC should be feature complete... so i would call it a gamma or delta version ;-)
I wonder why the RCs have so many bugs left... eventually released to fast... known problem for great companys like Microsoft :-D
Nevertheless this ROM is much better than the Stock versions from a Company with 19,000 employees... so thumbs up to the Developpers.
According to the first reactions in the developers forum the latest nightly (cm7-110627-1722-NIGHTLY-Jordan) should indeed solve my issue.
But now I wanted to install the latest nightly following the procedure described in the CM7 FAQ (number 3: How to update from previous versions?) and I encounter the following.
The FAQ says: Enter Recovery -> Custom Recovery
However I only see the following options:
-Latest recovery
-Stable recovery
-Stock recovery.
Is this changed? which option should I use?
-Latest recovery is the last test version of clockwork recovery which could have some issues.
-Stable recovery is the recomendet version which has no bugs but also none of the new features of the last test version.
-Stock recovery is the recovery from Motorola which shippes with the device.
So take the stable version and everything should work fine ;-)
The latest nightly 110627-1722, does indeed seem to solve all my video playback issues.

VLC (ARMv6 - FPU) : Doesn't run on my device

Hey !
Does the nightlies of VLC work correctly on your devices ?
http://nightlies.videolan.org/build/android-v6-fpu/
On my Wildfire S, it crashs when a miniature of a video is made or when I open an audio file.
I'm running Stock ROM (2.3.5).
Please, write your ROM if it's working or not.
Up !
Nobody tried the app ? Does it work for you or it's my device that is messed up ?

asychronised video

Hello,
I have liquidsmooth unofficial 4.4 10-11-2014 rom and the problem I face is when I record video, the sound is not sychronized with image.
What can we do for that?
I have attach the logcat file.
From it, I think there is some problem with a decoder maybe?
thanks in advance

Laggy video playback and no audio

Hi all, after I flash any rom (ressurection remix or lineage os 14.1) video lags in YouTube and there is no audio when it does play. Also Spotify has no audio and same with Facebook videos etc.
This is obviously a system wide thing so if someone could help me I'd greatly appreciate it as I can't use my phone for what id normally use it for. Many thanks in advance.
Hi, I have the same problem, only I am using stock rom 9.2.3.0 can't find any reason why this happened. All videos stutter with no audio. Before I updated to newest release it was all working.

Sorry for the late response but I have the solution worked perfect for me. Follow this and then reboot.

He means build prop editor too.
I have the same problem with LOS 16.
Unfortunately buildprop cannot find an attribute called audio.deep_buffer.media.
What else can I do?
Same problem happened to me yesterday (didn't hear the alarm clock cause there was no sound ). I'm on the same version of unofficial rr16 from 4 months and this issue began yesterday. If i reboot the phone the problem disappear for some time, then comes back again.
P.S. i don't have audio.deep_buffer.media in my build prop too
Lol you saved me. I am using a miui gsi right now, I also didn't have the prop. Simply download a root explorer like mixplorer, go to /system/build.prop and open it with text editor. Then add: audio.deep_buffer.media=false
