rom manager - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

Running kyan 1.25
I have opened up Rom manager and cant seem to get it to work. I can't find the correct version to flash cwm(the top option once from manager is open).... not sure what to do.

What does it say?
Also. Why do you need to flash cwm? Just a question, since you're already on a custom ROM, which leads me to believe that you already have it. ;P
If its for updating cwm so you can flash aokp or cm10 it should just say select device than ATT Galaxy S3.
Is ROM manager asking for permissions from superuser?

My issue is when I try to update cwm, there is no option for an att Samsung galaxy s3. If you don't flash cwm none of the features of rom manager will work....To my knowledge.

ROM Manager does not see CWM Recovery

Hi guys, new to rooting and android in general.
I have a GS3 with Videotron and I root the device with a older version of CWM.
I installed ROM manager but it always says that CWM Recovery is not installed on my device.
So I went ahead and updated CWM to the lastest version (Not touch), but I still have the same issue.
From what I saw our device should be supported by ROM Manager.
Is there something I am doing wrong ?
Thanks a lot !
how did you update cwm? I had to do it through Rom manager

I did it in console because ROM Manager says CWM is not installed, so I can't update.
It tells me I have the latest recovery but I have the touch recovery 4.8.4.5 or something... I installed through terminal though.

If I can't get Rom Manager to work the other way to backup is doing it from recovery directly ?
Thanks !
EDIT : I guess I should add that when I try the option Flash CWM Recovery my the Galaxy S3 is not in the device list.

My guess for this is that you have the T999V. I would think they woulda covered that when adding support for the s3, but maybe they missed it?
Check the cwm website and email them if you cant find confirmation of this either way.

Re-installing cwm from ROM manager didn't work, it still wants to know what phone I have and it isn't listed. I have uninstalled cwm, reset my phone to factory settings and re-rooted a few time now with the same results. It's mildly frustrating......
I never had this problem with my S and S2.
Any more suggestions welcome.
Try team win recovery project(twrp). I never heard of anyone having an issue like yours.

Only time I had issues with it not working was when I dun goofed my root and I think the issue was I didn't have busy box.
make sure that is installed. Also make sure you are rooted first..
Other then that in detail say what is happening.
Exactly the same as cwm. Except all wiping option are put together in the wipe menu, you can select multiple file to flash on after another and fix permissions is in the advanced menu.

man oh man ,, for some reason i can never install cm10 on my galaxy s3 i747m rogers (att) i tried cwm and twrp both said failed whyyyyy is this happening lol
thank goodness i have backups
can someone tell me how come i cant do this, my galaxy already rooted with superuser rootuscanada file ive and my phone is unlocked what is left
???
Exactly what error is it giving you?
I just picked up my s3 yesterday and was receiving an error 7 with both twrp and cwm. Turned out I needed the latest version of cwm (I picked touch) located
http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager to be able to successfully flash the latest cm nightly.
I would try updating to the latest cwm... worked for me.

The newest version of TWRP, 2.3.X, isn't supported by all ROMs yet. They made a ton of backend changes to improve performance. And I'm guessing CM hasn't included the new update-binary in their builds.

I been using the latest version of TWRP and flashed today's CM10 with the KT747 kernel. So, it is supported with non problems here.
Running AT&T SGS3 if that helps.

ROM Manager - Clockworkmod doesn't support Note 2?

Hey every1, ROM Manager - Clockworkmod Recovery doesn't support T-mobile Galaxy Note 2 yet?
When flashed it, it only asking for the confirmation of 4 other samsung phones, BUT no Galaxy Note 2?
Hmmm, TWRP works fine with the note 2, though.
Search and you would know we can use international version

Galaxy Note II International - problem with CWM Recovery
ROM Manager Premium is installed on my GN2 International and appears to work, I tell it to flash ClockworkMod Recovery and it tells it did it (I select Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 option). However, when I reboot into recovery, I get only the stock Android recovery, not CWM. What could be possibly wrong, as others seem to confirm that all works for them?

Same here (for T-Mo note 2).
You could always just Odin CWM into it...I used CF-Auto-Root (find the thread in the Original Development forum) and I rooted mine and my father's TMO Note IIs in under a minute. Was super simple
There is new version of rom manager and there is samsung galaxy note 2 to choose. Somebody try it already?

Updating TWRP?

I am currently using the rom FreeGS3 on my Samsung Galaxy S3, but I won't to flash a different rom. Problem is, TWRP on my phone is currently v.2.2.0, and I have no clue on how to update it
Easiest way is to get the goo.im app from the play store. It's called Goo Manager. Once you get it, give it root access when it asks for it. Then hit menu -> install open recovery script.
Hope this helps.
