I'll go out on a limb and say its your cell signal. More cell searching pulling the voltage down phone thinks it's got less juice. Signal returns, voltage creeps back up. Battery might be getting weak also. Or I could be totally wrong I'm just guessing really

Yeah I was kind of thinking that. The phone is only 3 or 4 months old I hope the battery isn't bad. Ha thank you for your opinion

Bizarre Battery Log

What is up with my battery readings. My phone is always making bizarre jumps like this. Notice the two vertical changes.

There are actually 3. One drop which is not accompanied by the charging and 2 increases one of them severe.
Its actually the initial drop that makes it bizarre. The battery isn't that old or that worn so corrections to read capacity shouldn't be severe. Discrepancies while charging can be explained a little easier. All depends on the battery controllers methods of reading while charging and how the OS samples the data from that. As i say its the drop that confuses me.
I would definitely say a calibration is in order before further investigation unless some knowledge is out there.
I've also noticed battery drops like that for me where it drops about 30% and was caused by random reboots from flashing new roms.

I can't exactly trace back to what I was doing when, but I'm pretty sure I started doing stuff online (browsing xda, currents, Google now) right there at the CPU/battery drain spike. That's when the heat cranks up. But as I'm typing this post right now in the xda app, the phone is cooling back down...
What's going on? Is there a fix?

I think overheating is what caused my gnex to crash. My screen was jumping like this picture I took.
I'm not too sure what happened.

That screenshot is erroneous and useless dude. How is it "overheating"? Did it shut down? There's thermal management that will throttle it down if it gets too hot, but is the phone actually shutting down/crashing/burning you? What app is eating up CPU? Did you look at logcats? What's the actual temp?

Is anyone knowledgeable with reading battery stats to see where my drain is?

I never got involved with this because between my gn and my s3, I have never had battery issues... Till today.... With the screen off, it drains 2percent every 6 minutes... Some things going on here...
Here are references... If you need anything specific, let me know and ill tell you...

Get rid of friend caster, it's holding a wakelock and keeping your network connection alive.

You need someone to read that? The evidence is obvious, if it were any more obvious it would hit you with a Mac truck. Lol.
Daaaaamn son friendcaster is one greedy sumbich

The percentage shown is not how much battery, but percentage running for the 2 hours and 3 minutes. Friendcaster 28% = 45.64 minutes run time.

Is data supposed to eat battery life quickly?

I recently got a plan with lte. I'm using tasks jb rom which is pretty decent. But on data it seems to deplete 1 percent every 2.5 or so minutes. Not watching anything but just browsing the Web.
Is that normal?

Welcome to LTE. Yes it can. That's the reason why some people would prefer not to have LTE at all. It's a huge battery drainer.
Browser uses more battery than LTE data does.
LTE + Browser =

Damn that sucks. I don't even need these speeds. I guess I'll limit it to HSPA or 2G, thanks for the replies.
Yes....LTE will kill your battery. Totally worth it. Lol

Yeah man, everyone has basically got it correct. What you gotta do is just try to use wifi when possible. I'm in college so I have wifi everywhere. Or just keep your charger on you at all times. If you have flashed your phone, JusTUNbean does a great job of creating an inverse GAPPS that saves so much battery.
Really? Inverted Gapps saves that much?
Is it because the blacks are truly black aka no active pixels?

Is my battery Normal?

Just picked up the E4GT, loving the phone. I flashed CM10 on it, and I'm getting very poor battery life. Because the phone was refurbished, I'm wondering if the battery might be old, or damaged. Attached is the relevant information, all taken at the same time. This is the latest build of Wild for The Night CM10.1.

Pull the battery and spin it on either the face or the back. If it spins like a top replace the battery. Your stats dont look right to me.
