I've learned to not use those mesh type cases on my phones during to a not so good experience before. After several weeks of use I took it off and left some circular marks on my phone housing. Since then I stayed away from them. No experience on that particular one though but it may be the same

Into Mobile did a review on it. I can't post links, yet, so search the title: "Samsung Galaxy Nexus hard case claims it’s genuine – we don’t care either way"

All,
Hey is one of the first rugged type cases I've seen pop up. It has an avaliability range of 1-3 months so no clue when they will be avaliable but heres where you can track it:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B004ZKP8JO/ref=aw_d_detail?pd=1&qid=1308686568&sr=8-8
And to get an idea about what it might look like (no pictures yet on Amazon.com) here is the link to the same type case for the Xoom:

I have one of those for my 7" Galaxy Tab, they're really nice!

I really wish they were avaliable now because although I can somewhat understand the desire to make the Tab look like a real portfolio with the somewhat common leather cases, I by far prefer the stress free approach to device protection (and I have young kids).
Anyway, hopefully that big range of availability at Amazon is overly conservative.
I'd love to see these guys make some cases for our phone
http://www.more-thing.com/en/
I sent them an inquiry seeing if they have any plans... anyone had experience with them for the phones they do make cases for?
I just checked out their cases..they have gr8 cases..I hope they make cases for the nexus..I will send them an inquiry as well....

I used their case on my iPhone 3GS. It was a really nice case that looked great. When I bought the HTC EVO i told them how much I liked their cases and hoped they would create one for the EVO. That never happened and unfortunately I don't think it will for the GN either. I hope they do because I would buy one.
Got a reply from company
Dear Mustafa,
We would like to tell you that we will not manufacture case for Samsung Galaxy Nexus at that moment. Thanks.

Yeah, I got the same reply
Of course, the name was different
Shame, because I really would like a nice black leather pouch like the one that they have for the S2 (out of stock).
I'm coming from an LG revolution on Verizon, ill admit it's plagued with issues. The main reason I liked it was locking in my unlimited 4g data, and it handles wifi tether somewhat well. Anyway
Seeing prices on an off contract Verizon GN ($200-300) makes me consider buying one outright to replace. Doesn't help my revolution has a crack in the glass (not screen). Are there any considerations I should make beyond what I find reading out of reviews and going by user experiences? I'm so far happy with all that I'm seeing, and the caveats aren't big for me, such as omitting Google wallet and it having a pentile display. Ill bet it's miles ahead of my revolution (plain LCD 800x480). I have the extended battery for my revolution and will most likely soon after buying a GN go for the same, but I want to also hear from the xda community. Thanks all in advance.

Get the Gnex in your life... you will probably **** your pants and sit in it for two days out of joy... I know I did.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Do it. Seriously. Its a great time to be holding a gnex.
But definitely get some form of screen protection immediately. Preferably a case of some kind, as this phone is like a wet bar of soap.

Nah. I used to use the dual incipio case, but the slimness just cannot be covered up! Just slap a screen protector and you're golden... unless you're really clumsy. But yes, get the GNex, flash Jelly Bean, and you will be convulsing on the ground struck by awesomeness (if that makes sense? )
I just got my gnex from eBay. And this phone is so awesome! I am coming from a epic touch 4g where the phone specs should be a slight wash but I am digging this phone sooooo much more

I resent that. Wet bar of soap, says I.

Get it. Get it NOW.
Get it as quick as you can, especially over the Revolution.

Yes, do it. I came from a Rezound and while it is a nice phone, it doesn't have the freedom and support that the Nexus has.

just traded my skyrocket for one, best decision ever...
This phone pwns!!
So much development too.
The phone is great. A few days with it and you'll wonder how you ever lived with a smaller screen.
The stock experience isn't bad, but unlocking the boot loader and rooting couldn't be easier so you'll be up and running with new Roms all the time.
I'm quite enjoying mine, but it is slick and has a tendency to want to slide out of your hand. Get a case and an extended battery.
It does get warm near the top when browsing the net but its a big deal. Anyway off to work I go, get the damn phone you'll have no regrets.

Thanks all for the support! Forgot just how free and open nexus devices are. Is there a particular extended battery and case go for? I noticed an off brand 3800mah with cover (same company also makes suitable cases) for $20, didn't look like a half bad company at least. I know batteries can be hit or miss. Also, does the (insert power control widget w/wifi tether button) trick still work for that? Atm I use wifi tether and by sheer luck it works in AP mode, vs adhoc, which I much prefer. Also any particular big pros to rooting besides jellybean? I only really rooted my revolution to remove bloat, extend battery and use wifi tether. Afaik with the nexus, there's no particular bloat being vanilla android, battery is more solid than my phone, and if that tether trick works then no root needed for that with what I'm reading.

There's so many other good ROMs to run besides Jelly Bean.

Whoo what a deal on craigslist! Gnex with clean esn for Verizon, 3 screen protectors, a plastic case and leather case (2 cases) and 2 extended batteries, $225. How could I not dive in? Haha

Someone sure ripped themselves off.
Definitely would meet at a store to double check ESN is good.

In case meeting at a street can't he arranged, I conveniently found a Verizon site to verify device IDs and if they can he activated, should that work as well? Also I imagine ill find the device id behind the battery? Or is it the same as the meid/imei?

DON'T BUY SKETCHY BATTERIES!!!
Buy only genuine Samsung extended battery or from a somewhat legit company, like Mugen power.
Sketchy batteries present a high risk of breaking your phone.
Quick tip from you guys.
Is it worth to trade a S2 for a gnex?
Tks
Hello all, th7s is my first post to xda so please excuse any errors on my part. Now down to business. I own a galaxy note 2, the sph-l900 version to be more exact and over the last few months the xda community was able to put popular demand to UAG's attention. UAG finally released a note 2 case as a result, and as someone who owns one I have to say, I love the case. Now if you go to UAG's site you will see they make an ipad case, my goal in this post is to guage how popular the idea of a UAG case for our note 10.1's would be. If we can get enough people on board maybe lightning will strike again and we can add UAG to the growing list of cases for the note 10.1.

For this being your first post it sure looks familiar http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2219394
Please tell us ....... What make this UAG case so special that you post almost the exact same thing 2 times since the the 3rd of April.
For a minute I thought I was Bill Murray in the movie Groundhog Day.
.
I don't think he's bragging about his UAG on his Note 2. I guess he just wanted feed back on how many of us would want a case from the same manufacturer for the 10.1. Seems legitimate to me, but he should have bumped that thread rather than starting a new one. We write this off to him being new... Now I suggest he contact a Mod and have him/her close the older thread as it has comments.
I would live uag for my note 10.1 ..I have it for my s3 and love it ...it will be perfect if they come up with uag with a kick stand .

My apologies for the mix up. I post the April third post then posted here as I realized this was the appropriate section. I would like to point out at no time was this post intended as bragging, I use my UAG note 2 case everyday and think that the design is great. Just wanted to know if there were people out there who felt the same about a UAG case for the note 10.1 is all

Anyone looking to trade there flawless Galaxy Nexus for a Like new Nexus 4 with 2 cases? The plastic is still on the front and back
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
I would if I wasnt on Verizon. Obviously, I can't but others might want to know too...whats the catch? Why would you trade a Nexus 4 for a Galaxy Nexus?
What's the catch?
I have the standard GSM Google / Samsung Galaxy nexus, but it isn't in a case and has a few scratches but otherwise no worse for the wear.
Why would you want to trade? What's the catch?

But as already stated, what's the catch?
