Hello Everyone,
Problem here on my rooted galaxy s3. I'm still with the stock rom but with the root access.
I'm trying to set the remote control, but everytime I click on remote control, setting crash.
How can I fix it ? Thank for your help.

Anybody know how to configure the Videocon d2h HD settop box remote control on Xperia ZL Remote Control App.. I tried all the manual setup procedure and was able to configure buttons using d2h remote control, but on settop box it is not working. I was able configured Samsung tv remote and zl remote control with samsung lcd tv working absolutely fine without any issues. But why it is not working with the d2h settop box. Is there any difference between tv receiving signals and settop box receiving signal.
Please help if anyone has idea about this.

Did you use the Samsung control preset that came with the app?
or you set it by manual learning
and on what version are you on?
the remote app was broken before 4.2 .67 firmware
that was the version where it worked fine for me
4.3 is fine too
all other earlier version has the problem when you use the learning function(it learns it but when you press it it doesn't work)
Same problem here,
Currently on stock 4.3 version, even tested with 4.2.2(previous version)
I m not able to configure my FastWay Hd Set Up Box remote by manual method..
It didnt work on STB...
Only default configured codes are working Like SonY Led Remote and Samsung
For those all who have manual learning problems. Its a hardaware defect. You can get your device replaced by sony

Yes, sony told me the same. But it worked on 4.1, and I read a comment where someone wrote that bug got fixed in 4.3.
I still have hope...

go in manual mode select cable tv set top box and configure it with ur remote .Dont select satellite set top box
Folks do anyone of you have an APK for this Remote Control App? I want to try this on my Nexus.
I had the same problem when I bought my ZL
problem was fixed on 4.3 update
or you could try flashing AOSP ROM
and use the AOSP remote control to test it(the app is in app & theme section)
Didn't know if you guys had tried this or not, but now that root is available, Teamviewer QuickSupport became a lot more useful. You can now control your FTV remotely with Teamviewer instead of just viewing and modifying system info. Tried it out last night and it was working great. Just make sure the box is rooted, then install Teamviewer QS from the Play Store
The only thing I can't figure out is if there is a way to get it to run automatically on startup in the background. Right now you have to open the app and allow access when there is an incoming connection. If you exit out of the app you are not able to connect to it. Any one have any ideas?
Is there a way to get remote control to work without root?
I think file transfer / chat works.
personally, I don't mind but sometimes my parents need help and it worked great on Galaxy S3 and I would like to use it on G3 without root.
Hey guys just wondering if anyone has found a way to enable sidesync on the tab s and login to your phone without opening side sync on the phone itself.
Im seeing alot of reviews saying it would come in handy having this app and being able to use your phone if its in another room. But everytime I start the app it says to open sidesync on the mobile device.
Sorry if this sounds like a silly question but I cant figure it out.

The phone and tablet will have to be connected by bluetooth. Then you can just open it up on the tablet and it will automatically connect.

I tried that with Bluetooth but it uses bluetooth as a internet tether only option.
Still can't open sidesync without opening the app on the phone.

actually i accidently find tv to mobile streaming with quick connect on my note 4 samsung
is there anybody what have it to?
but theres a problem...when i connected to my tv on my smartphone displays only channel change up and down power on tv and volume up and down
theres no screen from channel
has anybody found somethink?
did i have to enable somethink on my sasmung smart tv?

I don't have Miracast. I also have this problem. TV to device not working in rooted stock Rom or Custom Rom because phone status and binary changed from Official to Custom. I need to hear the sound of the my Samsung Smart TV through hands-free because the sound amplification program needs rooted access.

I tested many apps about casting but not solved. I think if status and binary changed to Official then Quick connect should fully work. I'll still try more ways..

AllShare FileShare Service
BeaconManager
Nearby devices
Nearby Service
Quick Connect
Wi-Fi Direct
Wi-Fi Direct share
withTV
If not, go to stock recovery and full wipe (dalvik/cache/data) and flash stock ROM again via Odin. (Be sure to make a backup at first)

so thank you very mutch i tried it but when i click on tv to mobile screen it just connect and nothink happens...
could you tell me some of the apps you has tested for this?

I still didn't find any apps that have this feature. I just installed the Stock ROM again after completely wipe data and factory reset in stock recovery. Then turn off the battery saving mode and tap on Quick Connect section. I get the sound and the image. My phone model is N910H.
Only problem is the poor reception of some TV channels. Voice boosting programs are also mostly fake, and I think it needs root access that it will stop this feature.
I hope you find a way to solve your problem.

oh okay...im start thinking that there is no any app what can do this!
i tried with stock rom again and now its worked and have the same problem with you iv got poor reception of some channels too
so thank you again

finally i make it work!

i go back to stock rom and my tv can stream channels to my smartphone!
