Back to stock with recovery from AOKP?

I wanna go back to stock rooted with recovery from the build of AOKP that's posted on Android Central, and I was wondering that the safest way would be. I was thinking of using the Odin OC of FF18 , then using the Autoroot package to flash the recovery. Is there an easier way?
I'm only going to stock to update prl while I try to find a good SGS3 based rom.

Updating rooted with custom rom

If I wanna upgrade to the official JB and my S3 is rooted with custom rom, is it safe to upgrade to official jb via Kies? Or should I go back to stock ics before upgrading?

If you want to go from a custom ROM to stock JB, Kies won't do it. You will need to flash via Odin. You will loose root and your custom recovery.

Link please ? Do that Odin program and how to flash JB on it
If you're going to have to use odin anyway, you should consider installing mrRobinson's root-injected stock jellybean rom. Then you won't have to worry about rooting it. Worked awesome on my stock rooted ICS with stock recovery. Also worked awesome on my son's stock rooted ICS with CWM. Here's the link. Everything you need to know is in the first post.

Do I need to get rid of my custom rom if I wanna upgrade? If I don't, will it brick it?

I download the stock rooms and then install them from my device using Mobile Odin.

Odin back to 4.3 stock.

This is a dumb question I guess.
I'm on Quantum 4.4
I'm running the 4.2.2 bootloader (Telus)
When I Odin back to stock I flash the stock 4.2.2 through Odin and start fresh.
If I was to flash the Telus 4.3 stock I'd just use that from now on to Odin back to stock right? Probably should have my coffee before thinking this morning lol.

Yes and enjoy that coffee this morning

Flash the stock firmware via Odin. You can find it in a thread in the general section.

If you don't care about custom recovery you could always go back to stock with kies.
