One of those is the TW gallery, and the other is the stock Android gallery (1st one)... point me to your google wallet steps...
If you just want to remove it, use TiBu, uninstall Gallery 1.xxx

so the gallery thats 241mb is the Android Stock and the gallery thats 4.73mb is Touchwiz Gallery? Which one would you think is better? Also I searched through the Development Forums to get google wallet working, works fine for me. Also here is the link to that Forum for Google Wallet - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1769083 Just took this check -

The touchwiz is going to be the 241mb gallery, the android stock is the 4mb one.... just wanted to read the google wallet steps to see why theres 2 galleries... it's not about which one is better, you're running a stock touchwiz rom, and removing the touchwiz gallery will break a lot of things... remove the 4mb gallery... nandroid first, im still reading these steps...

all the flash does is install wallet and fix its permissions... sure it was just after those steps?

Remove the 4mb file gallery... Removing the 241MB touchwiz gallery will make some things not work, the ROM needs it.... I was reading the wallet steps to see if it added the stock gallery, but all that happens is wallet is flashed onto the phone after a build.prop edit...

Ok I flashed it, Big Help Thanks Alot Buddy

dude my phone just uber fked up...everything froze except the bottom right touch button check pics, not sure what caused this, I have my cpu settings set at 192mhz / 1.51ghz, is that 192mhz too low for it? Using System Tuner Pro, Never Touched the voltages either by the way, using KT747-Kernel-7-19c-Sammy

pull the battery and reboot it and let me know what happens... thats not from 192mhz, issues with underclock would just make the phone reboot itself...

well I just noticed something man, this has happened a few times, I have my Governor set at "Interactive", used that same configuration on my galaxy note, never had a problem, but on this galaxy s3 it messes up the screen like that, have no idea why but other than using that kernel + the OC, I haven't changed anything else, by the way I didn't have to pull the battery, just like a computer, hold the power button down for close to 10 seconds restarted the phone. I guess My Question is WHY is it doing this, I'll have to do some research on it, sad I just got it friday and it's already fkin up lol

I'm kinda a noob at android names, when you say noop do you mean I/O Scheduler? And if so how do I access that in System tuner pro? I remember reading a guide about that but haven't messed around with that, hell I don't even know where it is lol, I just change the basic settings in the Cpu tab on sys tuner.

You need to use Voltage Control... You can use System Tuner Pro if you want, but the kernal dev will only support Voltage Control... I/O Scheduler to noop or cfq, Governor to ondemand

Im reading this thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1369817
and it says
"Considering the overall performance, battery, reliability and low latency, it is believed that SIO > Noop > Deadline > VR > BFQ > CFQ, given all schedulers are tweaked and the storage used is a flash device."
So safe to say if I have SIO on voltage control to go ahead and use that? I just want the best performance when I need it as well as battery saver when Im not using my phone."

You linked me to an SII thread... While it has very good info about the different schedulers and governors, referring to the Kernal thread, the only ones that have been implemented are:
New Governors (PEGASUSQ, ADAPTIVE, SMARTASS2, LULZACTIVE)
New Schedulers (CFQ, BFQ, VR)
Include NOOP, and ONDEMAND it's the stock Sammy settings...
You're going to have to choose from those...

[Q] LeeDroid & Setcpu

I have just updated to LeeDroid V2.2.2 and all is good.
Reading his post there is mention on using a I/O performance file and Setcpu.
What effect does setting the cpu to say 1.8ghz have on battery life?
I have downloaded Setcpu and had a look in the post but can't seem to find the best settings. Is there such a thing or not?

There's a way to do it sans a resource-eating app.
Edit your /system/etc/init.d/01vdd_levels file.
The line you want to add will look like this:
echo smartass > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_governor
This will execute on boot and use no resources whatsoever. If you have any further questions, PM me.
I got an even dumber question, what exactly is smart ass governor i have seen it on the setcpu but have never seen any documentation as to what its parameters are.
Would much appreciate some info.

From it's developer:
"smartass governor - is based on the concept of the interactive governor. I have always agreed that in theory the way interactive works - by taking over the idle loop - is very attractive. I have never managed to tweak it so it would behave decently in real life. Smartass is a complete rewrite of the code plus more. I think its a success. Performance is on par with the "old" minmax and I think smartass is a bit more responsive. Battery life is hard to quantify precisely but it does spend much more time at the lower frequencies. Smartass will also cap the max frequency when sleeping to 352Mhz (or if your min frequency is higher than 352 - why?! - it will cap it to your min frequency). Lets take for example the 528/176 kernel, it will sleep at 352/176. No need for sleep profiles any more!"

It's built into a LOT of kernels, and there's all kinds of modified versions of it, too. Some implementations aren't much better than interactive. It easy to reign in though.

[REF] justjackyl's Iconia A100 CM10 Setup & Use Tips/Tricks

Surprising to me, I have been PMd by a few people asking about how I resolved issues that I was having with my tablet. I could not give you a specific answer on why and how well my tablet runs so this is just how I do it. Results for you may vary, and what works for me may have been a problem for others. I am in no way a dev, nor do I take credit for their work.
I am posting this as possible tips for CM10 (9/2/12build) w/ godmachine kernel v2.0 & the latest gapps available from goo.im. If you are not to that point or do not understand what I am talking about, STOP, and go read pio_masaki's [Guide] All things Iconia A100 (guide to modding)
MY RECOMMENDED APPS
Apex Launcher (NOVA Launcher is a good alternative) since Trebuchet 2.0 freezes/crashes ALOT
SetCPU w/profiles enabled for my overclock needs
ESFileExplorer for root and normal file manipulation as well as streaming video from my home server.
Titanium BackupPRO i think is the best file backup/restore software. Market Doctor as well as bloat ware/unwanted system app melter ability to integrate apps into ROM, than create a backup in CWM and next time you flash, all your apps will be included.
ESTaskManager for boot up app disabling/enabling, as well as Task killer if I need to terminate a running app. Has many other useful functions such as power optimization.
STARTING FROM SCRATCH/BUILDING MY CM10 SETUP
INSIDE TEAMWIN RECOVERY PROJECT
I use TWRP. In this order I wipe cache, dalvik cache, factory reset, and internal storage. Then I flash CM10, kernel, and gapps. Power off via menu option. Power on and i do not touch for 10min. than reboot wait 5 min, fill in Google profile, reboot than I start installing the rest of my apps. This is more your customization stage. Although I recommend installing your custom launcher, such as Apex Launcher, and updating Superuser before doing anything else.
USING TITANIUM BACKUP FOR FREEZING/REMOVING APPS
At this time I usually will start changing all my settings and freezing/uninstalling apps. Doing this will free up RAM and stop unused apps from even loading into the system. You can "thaw" them out anytime.
I use Titanium Backup and I freeze these system apps (I don't uninstall in case freezing an app causes a conflict):
E-Mail 4.1
Exchange Services 5.0
Face Unlock 4.1-392829
Gallery 1.1.4000 (In this build there are two identical listed, so I freeze one)
Google Play Music 4.3.605.392829
Google+ 2.6.1.30454518
Movie Studio 1.1
News&Weather 1.3.11
ROM Manager 5.0.0.8
Trebuchet 2.0
Lucky Patcher 2.5.0 (if you use it, use it for your purpose than FREEZE it until next time you need it)
Dev Tools 1.0
com.android.smspush 4.1.1-eng.odin.20120903.000735 (Not a 3G tablet, not texting so I freeze it)
[VOICEMAIL] Mobile Data 4.1.1-eng.odin.20120903.000735 (not a 3G tablet, so service not needed)
[SMS/MMS/APN] Mobile Network Configuration 4.1.1-eng.odin.20120903.000735 (not a 3G tablet, service not needed)
Network Location 1.1.10
Setup Wizard 1.3
Spare Parts 4.1.1-eng.odin.20120903.000735
VpnDialogs 4.1.1-eng.odin.20120903.000735
Voice Dialer 4.1.1-eng.odin.20120903.000735
USING ESTASKMANAGER TO EDIT STARTUP APPS
Next, I use ESTaskManager and disable a lot of the boot up apps. A lot of the apps you can disable their startup because you can launch them manually. This reduces boot up time and saves us some precious RAM and CPU cycles. Depending on what apps you uninstall or freeze, these may or may not be available to you.
I Disable:
Any of my user apps that aren't system related. Example, I can disable NOVA 3 from the boot up list because it's just cached in memory, and wasting memory to display notifications. For free games, this can actually stop all those annoying ads you get on startup. But I wouldn't want to disable SetCPU on startup, as it is controlling my governor, I/O scheduler, and CPU frequency. I am not going to list all my user apps, you get the point.
Calendar Storage-disable if you don't use
Contacts
Download Manager
Email
Exchange Services
Gmail
Google Contacts Sync
Google Playstore
Google Search (safe if you do not have any GSearch widgets, and you disable the "persistent" search bar from you home screens in settings)
News&Weather (safe if you don't use the widget)
ROM Manager (it's just best not to use this stupid thing! will get you into more trouble than good!)
Voice Dialer
USING SETCPU W/PROFILES ENABLED FOR OVERCLOCKING
Now for SetCPU, and how I use it.
Several users state that SetCPU causes a lot of problems with our tablet, and this is true, if you don't follow a few guidelines. I do have profiles enabled. I have 4 profiles. One for regular use, on for per app basis overclocking, one for screen off, and one for screen off on a per app basis so I am not under clocking as low as when screen off profile is triggered, for when apps like ESFileExplorer or Titanium Backup are performing long tasks and the screen times out.
I find using True/False and the "Any of these are true..." triggering events works best.

The problem with our tablet is it does not like using profiles. I have pinpointed the issue of SODs and random reboots being associated with SetCPU. When building profiles, you have to make sure you use the same governor in all of your profiles. You can change the I/O Scheduler for each profile without any negative effects. I use my tablet almost solely for Android Gaming, so leaving all my profiles set with lulzactive or smartassV2 is not an issue for me.
If you ABSOLUTELY want to change your governor, you can change it manually at the SetCPU "Main" screen. Just remember when you’re done to change it back to the one used in your profiles. To stop SODs (Sleep of Death), in your Screen Off profile, raise the MHz slider from 216MHz to 312MHz for your minimal under clock speed.
You can also use other features of SetCPU to undervolt and edit governors like lulzactive.
MY SYSTEM SETTINGS OPTIONS
Under Performance tab make sure for Processor and I/O scheduler that the "Set on Boot" option is OFF/UNCHECKED!
Under Memory I do have allow purging of assets ON/CHECKED
For Surface Improvement I select the "disable dithering" option. Some games/apps I use would FC until I turned this off.
zRam
I also have zRam turned on, but you have to flash a special zRam .zip from godmachine/linuxsociety from TWRP/CWM to actually have it working. Just download the appropriate .zip file for the amount of RAM you want to use for zRam compression. I use just the 100MB .zip. All the zips and a good explanation by linuxsociety are in his kernel thread
Under the Developer Options tab:
Turn on Android Debugging
I disable the "USB debugging notify" option, we already know we turned it on.
I turn on "Force GPU rendering"
For Background Process Limit I have it changed from Standard Limit to At most 4 processes
I have Kill app back button option checked.
Under Profiles tab, I tick the slider and turn profiles off.
For Wi-Fi sleep policy, I have a 5m time out. I found that wireless really sucks the life out of the battery. So if I'm not using it, I manually disable it.
BUILD.PROP MODS
I have used these, and for my uses I find that it is not needed. They do have benefits. For testing purposes I keep a copy of the stock build.prop and a copy of the modded build prop both in the system directory. Put them both in there and rename them build.prop.reg.bak and build.prop.mod.bak. Than with ESFileExplorer, make sure you have root access enabled, see pic) you can just rename the file you want to use to build.prop. Boot into recovery and clear cache and dalvik cache, and make sure you let the tablet sit for 10mins anytime you clear caches. The only time I really use the build.prop is to make an app list for the A500 in the playstore so I can download/purchase it and have it marked as so in the playstore, than extract the APK with titanium backup and than go back to stock build.prop and side load the app. Some apps will install under the A500 mod, but will FC or not run properly until you return to the stock build.prop.
I really can't think of anything else that I may be doing that can help you guys out. A suggestion I stand by, is I don't bother with widgets. They take up memory and CPU cycles for information you can usually get to via a couple taps on the good ol' touchscreen. And I have no idea why, it may just be me thinking it improves battery life, but I turn airplane mode on, and when I need wireless access I leave airplane mode on and turn wireless itself on. For some odd reason I see improved battery life, and my assumption is that when airplane mode is on, there are system apps that are put to rest by seeing the tablet is in this state.
Anyways, I hope this info will be useful for people. Any questions, feel free to post or PM me. I am a full time college student so I may not respond right away!

Nice tut. Should help out some to squeek out max performance.
A little more detail of how to freeze (paid version only), and disable startup apps, might help the novice.
Pretty much the way I run, with several different personal preferences.
Looks good. I especially like the list of apps that can be frozen. Just want to add that there are a few free apps (i.e..App Quarantine) that also freezes unwanted app.
Might be just me anal but the pictures attached shows up really big on the computer, taking up most of the screen and really distracting. I almost missed the blurp about setcpu profiles in between the pictures.

ahh you beat me to it
but I am going to add ROM and kernel links into the OP. Should have the first time.
I need to update this but I've been so busy with my stickied G2x Kernel thread! lol
I've all about abandoned SetCPU in favor of Antutu/No Frills (still testing) alongside with Android Tuner Pro <--- Which is flippin sweet on this tablet.
I may just be using it by itself as it can OC/UC/UV as well, than startup editing, build.prop modding, SysCtril modding somuch more. My tablet has been running smooth, and usually I just turn it off when not using as I could not get standby battery drain under control. I've just hit 18hours and still counting after using Android Tuner and I am still able to play all my HD games smoothly, meaning performance is not horribly hindered. I'll run a benchmark on it.
Great guide. used this on my desire s as well.
Hi jackyl, just wanted to say "great guide" I'm from the a500 forum and I feel guilty saying that i never knew you guys existed :shame: If it hadn't been for a 100 user posting his issues over our side I'd still be locked in ignorance!!!
I will link your guide and pio's in my flash guide if thats ok....there's some great info everyone should read imho
Keep up the fantastic work, happy tabbing

Q1) What are custom kernels? What are the benefits of using custom kernels?
A kernel is basically the bridge between the software and hardware. Whenever you command your phone to do something (launching an app), the software sends that request to the hardware which in turn, makes the launching of the app possible. Custom kernels for Android are unofficial creations of independent developers. Unlike the kernels that OEMs make, custom kernels offer more modifications that allow you to tweak your phone in every possible way.
Benefits Of Installing Custom Kernels
You can benefit from having better control of your device. These options are most helpful for users who want to maximize the full potential of their phone or perhaps want to extend their device's battery life. Below are some of the benefits of installing custom kernels.
-Adjust CPU frequencies and set profiles like OnDemand, Battery Saving, etc.
-Underclock and overclock CPU speeds
-Underclock and overclock GPU speeds
-Adjust voltage
-Adjust touch screen sensitivity
-Equip your phone with BLN (backlight notifications)
-Custom recovery that allows backups and restorations of entire ROMs as well as installation of .zip files
-Minimum screen brightness pushed past the limitations of stock kernel
-Conserve battery (with the right settings
Q2) Where can I get the AK kernel and which one should I flash?
The latest kernel is always linked in the OP. The kernel is broken down between the Purity version and Pirate version. The Purity kernel is meant to be as close to stock as possible. The Pirate kernel on the other hand is more of a experimental kernel with more options than Purity.
Q3) I have a XXXXX version of the Galaxy Nexus, will it work?
Yes, the AK kernel works on all versions of the Galaxy Nexus. This includes the CDMA and GSM versions. Download the kernel from the AK thread.
Q4) How do I make changes to my kernel settings? (ex: voltages, fastcharge, etc.)
Download the Trickster Mod from the Google Play store.
Q5) Can I use AK on xxxxx rom?
AK is known to work on any rom based on AOSP, AOKP, CM10, and even MIUI.
Q6) How do I install it coming from another kernel?
TWRP is the prefered recovery, although CWM recovery may also work.
The ideal way to install AK, especially if you are coming from another kernel, is to do the following.
Wipe cache and dalvik cache
Wipe /system
Re-flash your ROM
Flash AK
Fix permissions in recovery (this may take up to a minute or two)
Reboot
Q7) Do I need to wipe cache/dalvik/battery stats/etc if I'm just installing the kernel onto a previous AK version?
No, download and flash away. Only wipe battery stats if your battery percentages are off. Do not believe the myth that doing so will increase your battery life.
Q8) Do I need to run any other apps like SetCPU or equivalent?
No, if you plan to install and run Trickster Mod, please uninstall any other apps that may interfere with your CPU settings. If you are still running into problems (ex: reboots, FCs, etc.) please check your /etc/init.d directory for any left over scripts from other rom or kernels. These may interfere with how AK operates.
Q9) What is Smart Reflex? What is FSync? What is Thermal Throttling?
Smart Reflex is used to scale your voltages. Voltage will be increased or decreased when required. If you are overclocking, disable SR to have access to higher clock speeds.
FSync is a system call that can be toggled on to write buffers to disk (slow) or toggled off (fast) for performance. FSync defaults to on in the linux kernels, the option to disable it exists but it is advised to use this with caution. COMPLETE data corruption could occur if the phone crashes with fsync disabled.
Thermal throttling protects your CPU from overheating. If you are benchmarking, turn this option off to prevent throttling of the CPU that can cause lower scores. Just remember to re-enable it afterwards. Bear in mind that at 110C, the CPU will shut down no matter what. It is not advised to disable thermal throttling, however the option exists for those enthusiasts who are aware of the risk of permanent hardware damage. Please take the necessary precautions!
Q10) Does PGM (slide2wake) for the Nexus work with AK?
Yes PGM is supported on. But be sure to use the latest(March-25) version.
Note- The latest free or pro version of the pgm app is required.[/B]
Q11) What is the sleep of death (SoD)?
You turn the screen off, when you want to pick it up, you can not wake it up.
There is no blinking notification and when you call it, there is no ringing or vibration. When you press and hold power, it does not turn on, otherwise it was OFF.
If you play a game and it reboots, or freezes. That is NOT a SoD.
Q12) Can xxxxx option be implemented in AK?
Stefano wants to keep Purity as close to stock as possible but feel free to request features for Pirate within this thread or the dev thread. Whether or not it gets implemented is up to Stefano.
Q13) I want to keep my Rom's bootanimation, why does AK kernel keep trolling me?
The boot animation by Ciprian is hardcoded so it cant be changed.
Q14) How is battery life?
No one can predict your usage. However, most folks are getting great screen on time and performance.
Q15) I just experienced a reboot, how can I help to pinpoint the problem?
Open up terminal emulator and issue the command:
Code:
cat /proc/last_kmsg > /sdcard/last_kmsg.txt
Take this last_kmsg.txt file and show it to Stefano in this thread. It's suggested to copy the contents and use something like pastebin instead of spamming the thread with your log.
Q16) Whats with all the name changes?
Stefano aka AK changes the name whenever he makes major change to kernels, meaning they are different kernels thats why they have different names.. thats why the kernels went from berserk>dummy>pirate>cylon>AK/diamond>.. AK/Diamond are the same he just changed the name from AK to diamond thats why the changelog for diamond leads to changelog of AK.. as for purity that kernel is as close to stock as possible so its name has been purity since i started using this kernel, Stefnao stopped making the purity kernel and now BigBrother1984 makes Rubik in its place
Any other things that should stand in the FAQ? Did I make some horrible language mistakes? Write me a PM or post in this thread.

I have no problem with branding, but I believe just a splash of the logo would suffice. I am running the Pirate version and not a huge fan of the pirate splash and would really like to remove it or at least have the option to change it to the AK logo. Any chance of this ever happening?

i persoanly dont have any lag with this kernel(i use stock settings) but post the following info and we might figure out why you are getting lag-
- are you using custom Freqs + Uv?
- kernel version?
- rom version?
- governor?
- scheduler?
- freq cpu?
- freq gpu?
So I'm new to custom kernels, but I'd like to see super basic stuff for newbies in the faq. like "What is the benefit of installing a kernel and what does it do?" in the faq. or like "Is there a rom that works better with this kernel?"

i like the first question so will add it in the OP, as for second question nobody can answer it but you, every device is different so the rom/kenrel that works best for me wont necessarily work best for you thats why i recommened that you try different rom/kernel combos
This might help with the question "is there a rom that works better with this kernel", or any kernel for that matter.

My personal opinion about this kernel
I really like the thing to keep it update to mainline linux, only 2 kernel keep this ( leankernel & franco kernel )
I noticed some strange things
the first is disabling MPU Smartreflex and set lower voltage than SR , device is hot and drain more battery WHY? it's unsense ( test with #704 ) anyone can confirm?
The second one too much battery ( using SR ), in the past i love check my phone every seconds and close all apps to keep some juice inside battery, now with AK kernel battery life is something incredible and it's annoying : / , i arrive to 21:00 ( from 7:00 ) with 30-40% and 4-5 hours screen on and ever single thing turn on ( i'm using google now only for meteo lol ), with others kernel same thing, i arrive with much lower %, like 5-10%
This is my settings:
AK kernel 704
AOKP Self Compiled updated with 22feb git
Interactive ( 350 - 1060 Mhz ) - ( Screen off max : 535 Mhz ) - ( hispeed_freq : 810000 ) ( brightness: 50% ) ( 135 apps installed ) ( Full disk encryption [ said only cuz disk operation use more CPU = more Battery ] )
I feel you should include the Wep not working on 704+ pirates.
SOS sent from my gnexus captured by the pirates.

Kernel InformationGeneral Installation Instructions (for both TW and AOSP):1. Download correct version of kernel for your device and rom. This is important as you may brick your phone is you use the wrong version.
2. Flash kernel using your preferred recovery
3. Do the following AFTER installing the kernel and BEFORE you reboot your phone:
a. Clear cache
b. Clear dalvik
c. Fix Permissions
4. Reboot your device.
TW Specific Kernel Instructions:
(can be used with AOSP too)There are some files on your TouchWiz phone that need to be renamed in order to maximize the battery life of your phone. There has been some debate on whether or not this is necessary, but for now we would recommend renaming these files to ensure that there is no chance of excessive battery drain.
Part 1:
These steps are only necessary on TouchWiz ROMs, however you can also do this on AOSP as well:
1. You must have ROOT. You will need to have a root enabled file explorer on your phone (ES File Explorer works very well and you can get it from the play store (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop&hl=en). When you get it, open it up and go the the settings and scroll all the way down until you see the Root Settings. Go in there and enable ALL of the root settings.
2. After that is done, navigate to your root folders using the Folder Up icon at the top. Once you are in your root folders, navigate to /system/bin and locate the following files. You will need to rename them with a ".bak" at the end of the filename
gsiff_daemon --> gsiff_daemon.bak
mpdecision --> mpdecison.bak
qosmgr --> qosmgr.bak
smd --> smd.bak
smdexe --> smdexe.bak
Renaming these files will not harm your phone. Many users rename these files every time they flash a rom, and no damge is done.
Also, some ROMs come with these files renamed or deleted entirely, so if you don’t find a file, don’t be alarmed.
You have to do this every time you flash the ROM and/or Kernel.
If you feel uncomfortable doing this yourself, you can use the TK-MOD (see Downloads section) and it will handle this for you.
Part 2:
Stopping mpdecision from being called:
1. Open terminal emulator and type the following code:
su
2. When terminal emulator asks for root permission hit 'Grant' or 'Allow'.
3. At the # prompt type:
stop mpdecision
Using Rom Toolbox (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrummy.liberty.toolbox) we will make a script that will stop mpdecision from being called at each boot so you don't need to use terminal emulator each time
1. Open Rom Toolbox and scroll down to the Scripter option
2. In the scripter, click the “+” button in the top right corner, then select 'Create'
3. Type a name for our new script, lets call it “stop mpdecision”
4. In the commands enter the following text:
#!/system/bin/sh
stop mpdecision
5. Hit the disk icon to save it
6. Select the script that you just created and a dialog box should pop up, select set at boot
Were done here
AOSP Specific Kernel Instructions:When coming from a 3.0 Kernel to a 3.4 Kernel there is a new method with kernel updates. Skipping these steps will cause phone instability, due to some bad data left behind. This is a flaw in the Android OS, not the application. You must follow the instructions below (Thanks ktoonzs for the new method of the ktweaker app)
1. Go to Settings on the phone
2. Go to app manager then all apps
3. Scroll down to ktweaker app n open it
4. Once open hit FORCE STOP and then hit CLEAR DATA
5. Reboot and flash your new update of ktoonzs kernel
6. Repeat steps 1-4 in the above “General Installation” section
You should be good to go after that

1. Download the file(s) to your phone. In case of .bin files, optionally rename the file(s) as .txt
2. Copy ONLY the profile(s) (DO NOT copy the "Adjustments" file) to /sdcard/KTweaker folder using a file Manager of your choice.
3. Open Ktweaker app and click on "Restore Prefs from sdcard".
4. The file you just copied should be listed there. Choose the one you want to apply.
5. After applying, make sure the "Set options on boot" setting on the main menu of KTweaker has a little green text bellow confirming that the settings will be applied upon reboot.
6. Profit!
Balanced Bull: Reloaded (updated: 11~15~13)
These settings are very special to me as they were my very first, dating back to the Galaxy S3, and has gained an incredible amount of feedback. It has become notable for it's fairly smooth interface and amazing battery life. If this stacks up to your standards then I encourage you to use it!

Nightmare To Remember
This will likely become your beautiful, never ending nightmare.. It offers a unique balance between battery and performance but unlike Balanced Bull, it is slightly more performance oriented due to the more aggressive scale up to max CPU. However, only 2 cores will be used for the majority of the time so you can still enjoy a nice buttery smooth interface with just enough juice to last you through the day.

Bless The Child v3 (updated: 10~25~13)
Based on Ktoonservateq and aimed towards battery. This is specifically for all the battery hungry users out there wanting to conserve as much power as possible. So don't expect the BEST but rather decent performance out of this one.
https://copy.com/CZdfHiaZEOAu
Feed The Machine
The exact opposite of Bless the Child. This is a performance oriented option for all hardcore users. If battery isn't a priority for you then this is a great option.
https://copy.com/xWpFNDtIsQHe
Day Of Reckoning
Very similar to Nightmare To Remember but is aimed slightly more towards battery without deteriorating much of the performance. It is based off the Pegasusq governor.

Dead By April v2.2 (updated: 11~15~13)
This profile attempts to bring some of the best battery life possible to your device. It is similar to Bless The Child but takes things a step further . It now focuses more on snappiness but still maintains it's well known battery conservation. It manages to maintain a smooth ui for your average daily use.

Project Icarus by @mamba720027
So some may wonder why the name "Icarus",why not Hyper Performance or Deadly Good Battery.
Well the reason and to begin explination, short history.
Icarus is a greek mythology who is seen today as a mythical pioneer that tried to conquer the skies.
I like that mythology cause it kinda corresponds to my own saying "fly high or fall hard" which means to aim high or fail trying. So their you have it folks and thus the profile name "Icarus".
And onto explination of each profiles.
The first is "Performance" which is catered for straight out performance with also good battery performance.
This one is for when u dont give a rats flying balls about battery really and just want everything super fast and smooth. But you maybe surprise of battery performance. I recommend everyone try this profile first. My current favorite
The second is "Conservative" this is for those seeking performance but also better battery performance than the first.
This one is the middle man or lady as u may want to refer to it. It gives the best of both worlds, performance and battery. So if the first leave you stranded then fear not, this is the one to turn too
The third is "Kamikaze" which means "god wind". It either knocks the daylight out of your Galaxy S4 due to its high undervolteing and mean intent on Battery Performance but still snappy.
This one the undervolting is of my personal voltage table that runs stable for me with other tweaks. If it runs successfully for anyone else then battery performance may be great.
This one is for those that likes the thrill of trying something new and unsure if it will work

Undisputed 3 (updated: 12~11~13)
This is a universal performance setup in which combines the essential elements of other profiles by providing equal battery life, speed, performance, and stability to bring the ultimate experience to your device.
https://copy.com/H0FUiELjgegB
ECLIPSE v2 (updated: 10~25~13)
This is a performance oriented option where great battery life is also expected to intervene. This not only will bring an incredibly stable, smooth, and snappy feel to your device but will also benefit towards longer lasting battery so you can love and enjoy your phone the way you were meant to.
https://copy.com/fgFWgW30IE38
Asking Alexandria
Another battery driven profile in which focuses on saving as much juice as possible while also maintaining stability and providing an extremely snappy feel to your phone. It is quite possibly one of the smoothest and snappiest battery saving profiles available.
Why Asking Alexandria?
It's named after yet another one of my top favorite metalcore bands and I chose this because Alexander The Great basically ruled the world at one point and "Alexandria" is the female equivalent to that name, which has become known to mean the "one who comes to save warriors".
"Asking" was an addition to the title name as an indication in the sense that we are all asking Alexandria what she can really do to our phone.

Project Daylight v2 by @mamba720027 (updated: 12~23~13)
Day Light is focused mainly on battery conservation. I felt that its useless if its not smooth and lags alot so I add performance into the mix createing a profile that offers both while its first and foremost goal "battery performance" is still preserved and not diminish. This profile is yet unique and on a different level from my early release of "Icarus"
The contents are 3 profiles unique in their own way, "Daylight", "Daybreak" and "Experimental" along with a "Extra" folder containing wallpapers I created on our S4 for fun while testing . Kind of gives me some inspiration and sense of feel of what my objective is.
Daybreak is a crossbread profile of my Icarus Performance profile and Daylight. Its simply utilizing the performance power behind Icarus Performance profile while useing Daylight profile governor settings as its core to boost battery performance
The experimental profile is heavily undervolted/Underclocked with tweaked scheduler and governor. I taught if some of you could run it stable then it may produce great or mix results

What Lies Beneath
This is an extreme battery performance setup in which essentially transforms your quad-core device into a dual core device.
Why "What Lies Beneath"?
You'll find that during light to moderate operations the cpu remains at lower frequencies for an extended period of time and will only jump to max when needed. Although it's clocked at a max of 1.3ghz it maintains a surprisingly smooth and snappy feel to your device at such low frequencies. This is where battery life is also expected to come in to play as well.

Ktoonsified v2 (updated: 12~23~13)
This profile was put together by none other than the BOSS himself, @ktoonsez! This is a performance oriented option in which also offers a great deal of battery life. Haven't tried these settings yet? then what are you waiting for!! Load em up and be prepared for one of the smoothest and snappiest experiences ever!

Sleeping Dragon by @mamba720027 (updated: 12~23~13)
Sleeping Dragon V2 Single Core
This is a single core profile aimed at consumeing the least battery for a time when you will be away from home or at work and away from the charger. It was a profile i played with at first as i did not expect it to mount as much with apps and system UI needing a right amount of performance from a CPU to meet todays tasks in performance. In the end i was able to tame the dragon and make it work as best as possible to achieve its goal
Sleeping Dragon V1 Quad-Core
This is the counter part of Sleeping Dragon V2 but with many tweaked parameters to make it a fully functional 4 Core base profile in hopes to achieve close or same battery performace as its single core entity. Unfortunately i still am not sure if it measures up but what i know from previous test with settings @Stock it hold its own in battery department. I am pleased with the results although i would wish to see some light usage results from users.I must give credits to Luigi for useing parts from his Balanced Bull Script, and Undisputed 3 Script and part from my Crimson Dragon Script. I am pleased to present users with this 4 Core or Quadcore profile

Hydra
Eclipse and Kamikaze clash with one another in this hybrid profile (BIG thanks to @mamba720027 for the amazing work done on Kamikaze!). This is perfect for those who favor one or both of these profiles. With the merging of some of the essential performance and battery elements of each profile as well as a few minor adjustments, this one also stands as it's own profile and it flies!.

Ghost Rider by @galaxys3man30
this setup can benchmark on 1890,1944 and 1998 and its been really good on battery even thou its a performance setup think im going to call it ghost rider cuz its a sleeper yea it shows good battery life but behind that is the raw performance that is on demand when needed.

*Stardust v2* by @mamba720027 (updated: 12~7~13)
This Profile I put together is based on the "AbyssplugV2" governor.
Everything is tweaked and the profile can run by itself or either use the "smooth operator V2" Script or Luigi's "Hydra" Script.
Both are found in Post#8 of the OP. The choice is yours.

Crimson Dragon by @mamba720027
This is a profile that i put together from a lost in the thread Dual Core profile "Lazy Dragon". What was suppose to be a V2 Update of it turned into a 4 Core profile and something totally new, Crimson Dragon. This profile is a variable of Performace and keeping things balance. Its very smooth on TW and produce great results on AOSP as well threw testing and feedback. Please enjoy this new addition :good:

The link to at least the flashable recoveries goes to a Galaxy S3 thread.
That is pretty dangerous to link to that from here as someone is going to try and flash those on his GS4 without reading thoroughly first.
If your first post is a work in progress and you just copied from your gs3 thread to get the formatting you should put a big disclaimer at the top warning people not to use what they fins here until you are done.
Just dont want to see someone yelling at you because they werent careful about what they flashed.

You just know some goofball would have flashed an S3 kernel and bricked his phone and come here blaming you saying "Well yeah I saw it was for the S3, but you linked it in the S4 thread so I figured I was safe! It's your fault!"
Theres an aroma bug i am facing, if i try to scroll down soon it wont let me, i get taken to first choice.
---------- Post added at 09:20 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:17 PM ----------
also, after flashing this when i go to boot, it says ROM may flash stock recovery , this cannot be undone...

I have this on my international S4 so you have confirmed both GS4 models have been effected. It's aroma itself. I'll let @RErick know and hopefully one day aroma has better touch drivers for us.
For now try this method I have been doing. Hold a finger low on the screen and drag up but do not let go with that finger. With your other hand, use a finger to tap the selections you could not get to. This helps where before you'd scroll and let go and you would be back where screen position started. Hopefully that helps eek the install through. For each section you must hit none for all installs you would like to skip or the installer will not continue as you go through the options.
Please continue reporting issues, this is greatly appreciated.

Great thank you ^.^
Working good so far btw I think lol, I have not gotten the chance of looking at ktz original setting, i flashed you guy's tweak after the first boot. Will post up a screenshot up in a min here of everything i got so far. I choose the AOSP balance setting in the aroma I believe it was suppose to be with ktoonservativeq and noop? but when I booted it was row..(so im not sure if settings were actually flashed or not?) I know for sure buildprop was edited.
Also, can I get some information about the section with crossbreeder? Is crossbreeder install alone? Because in that section of the aroma it gave you option to uninstall, I did not choose that, I believe I choose the first option. So that means crossbreeder is install along yes?
Battery seems good I believe. 1 hour screen time with 14% battery of normal use is not bad at all
Benchmark not as good as I had hope for a balance setting. But they rarely matters for me so its not that big of a deal

The ktweaker back ups should be labeled but are not yet. They are from GS3 I should get some GS4 ones with RErick in about two weeks. I would try Raw Intellects file he posted some posts back for more performance via kernel settings.
I would try setting noop again if that is your preferred scheduler. It is always great on battery.
If you have 99TKmod and 98Cron in your intid our systctrl loaded as well.
Yes based on your selection you have the stock crossbreeder mod installed. I will get you link for info on crossbreeder. The uninstall is included for users with the stock crossbreeder installed and want to install our tweaks, both included crossbreeder versions were modded to work with our whole setup, the one labeled modified though only has entropy generation enabled and extra crossbreeder features disabled such as dns boost/tether boost/adblock and governor tweaks of which for some users have caused lots of issues so we included a version which after second boot on modified crossbreeder version is finished being setup automatically but must wait about 4-5min to be sure the scriot for it ran before reboot. So for you with the stock crossbreeder installed which has been made fully compatible with our setup, you are all set and should be running as normal for you.
Ill get link here for crossbreeder thread for info for you.

Looks good. Temps can greatly effect bench scores and also a balanced setup will always score when good for battery about those ranges. For more performance you can try @rawintellect setup for ktweaker gs4 version few posts back.
Pretty sweet battery if I must say so myself.
