With so many new ROMs and their customizations, not everyone's going to like the themes they add. For example, in AnonymousROM i3, the font is different and there's a battery %. So my request is if someone can make a Stock Gingerbread Theme. Completely stock. As in what the phone looked like when you Odin the regular EF02 leak. This way everyone has the opportunity to revert back to the original theme on any ROM if they don't like it.
Anyone else agree? And if so, someone please work on this!

He is also leaving xda. He will post a stock theme with stock fonts and everything. Androidanonymo.us is their site. I am marcusant's brother.

I was thinking about that a few days ago. I was thinking about putting out my theme for ef02. And while thinking about it I thought I should make a stock theme for those that wanted to revert back. Than I got side tracked and forgot about it. I already have most of out. Just need to do the kernel and figure out if there are any other tweaks to account for.

Thanks, that's exactly what I was looking for it. Because I love the i3 ROM, but the font messed up a couple of things and it just doesn't look right, even after flashing the stock font, things weren't fixed.
So I really appreciate you doing this

OK I decided to do two versions. One is framework and fonts only. One is complete stock (entire system folder). Framework and fonts will only replace the /app/systemui.apk /framework and /fonts folders. The complete version is the entire /system folder. I don't have a theme so does anyone want to test this out for me? With the complete version any modified apps will be replaced with stock apps. Any removed bloat will come back.
All will be up in a while. Uploading.
Deodexed Framework and Font Only:

Deodexed Complete:

This one is odexed stock theme. Same rules apply as above.

You need to include the font folder and the whole /framework and the systemui.apk so it works on all modified frameworks and removes all mods.

That way I can experiment more themes and not make a bunch of backups if I didn't like it.
I'm guessing then I'll have to flash the CRT Screen off animation and Overscroll then? If so, that's fine, but just curious.

Found this on Galaxy s2 forums.. I KNEW everyone would find this useful as a home replacement and appreciate the added customization over stock Touchwiz. Root access is required if your device comes with Touchwiz. This is Fr4gg0r and Swiftwork's work, not my own. Anyhow, check it out!
Yeah, I've been using this for quite a while on my OG Epic 4G.
Just FYI, install TW4Manager and do a check for latest stable version and it will install TW 4.5 for you.
*EDIT*
Install instructions
Before installation you need:
1. Root access.
2. An alternate launcher installed in case of installation failure. (the stock phone has Sprint ID launcher)
3. Backup and Uninstall: TouchWiz30Launcher.apk (I used SDXStockappremover but you can also use TitaniumBackup)
4. Install TW4Manager
To Install TouchWiz 4.5:
~Launch TW4Manager (fyi only runs in portrait mode)
~Scroll Down to "Check for Updates" -select
~Select "Latest stable version" (you will be warned that you should have alternate launcher installed)
~TouchWiz 4.5 will automatically download and install
Notes
~The default homescreen dock will be setup for 5 icons. To add icons go to appdrawer>menu>edit and then you can drag and drop your new dock icons
~Some preinstalled widgets will not work out of the box. To fix this you'll need to backup and uninstall them (such as DualClock.apk, SamsungWidget_ProgramMonitor.apk, TouchWizCalendar.apk) You can then go into TW4Manager>Widgets>SGS2 widgets-by randomguy123; select your widgets and install; After you install you need to restart Touchwiz in order to use the widget, otherwise it'll show an error when you try to use the widget.

No, uninstall touchwiz using ti backup and then install the twmanager
Does this have hardware acceleration like the stock launcher?
It doesnt say in the thread but it runs exactly the same as the stock launcher except way more options. I havent noticed any speed difference.

idk. no one has confirm that. I think you should wait for someone to confirm it.
You can't add Sense Widgets on another launcher. They are based on the Sense Launcher and they are coming along with them. Root does bring nothing.

You can root no matter what software version do you have. And after you do, you can easily uninstall programs that are stock and you don't use (I personally don't use soundhound so I deleted. Maps also). And I too had that software version. I have it now also, but I have root and the rom is becoming modded now (I've added stuff, deleted stuff etc.).
And for htc widgets on another launcher, only if HTC give their OK for this matter, only then we can import/export those widgets onto another launcher, but I doubt this will be achieved in the near future. The good thing is that, HTC has now opened their sources for Sense, so rom developers can easily make roms with sense.
Any way to add to the power down menu (holding the power button at the home screen) to include a simple reboot, and reboot to bootloader option?
I don't want to install a custom rom, I like stock rooted.
Gonna be a root feature. If you're stock rooted you can use an app like "quick boot" to have multiple reboot options from 1 app.
Its probably gonna require a custom ROM to add these to the system menu holding down the power button though. But if you're just stock, why do you need to reboot and boot into your bootloader so often? lol.
Hmm...well the goomanager app already does that, I just like the convenience of holding the power button.
I guess I could consider custom roms, but the stock "pure google" is just so...nice...but a lot of roms go changing things that I don't want changed, or add bloat that I don't want added.
This ^^^.

It has nova and stock you can choose but nova looks exactly the same as stock, but its way better since you can in fact control everything like removing google search bar or increasing the grid size on desktop or removing the dock or resize the dock or infinite scrolling for desktop and dock etc etc it could stay plain stock.. So i dont see the point on going stock since with nova you can only get better than stock
AOKP does not "replace" anything, if you want stock, you can be, as same with nova with rom manager you can only get better starting from stock

Hey Guys,
Back when i had my Nokia n95 "great phone", i could download and install a small animation thing that could animate the screen-turn-on and off so that it looked the a CRT screen from the old days?
- Does anyone know if such a thing exists for the Note II, or if its hard to code?

For non rooted you can use an app.

My apologies, when I read it back it is indeed lousy English. I meant that when you don't actually want to root your device, flashing a whole new rom might be too much. I must say that besides the animation, the rom gives a lot more nice features, yet it stays close to the original Samsung rom, so it would still be interesting to look at maybe. Installing is quite easy and explained in the WanamLite rom thread.
