Simple: Inverted just means light text on a dark background, instead of the default dark text on a light background. With emissive SAMOLED displays, it saves a tiny bit of battery life doing this, and it looks nicer, IMO.
The biggest downsides are that you have to wait for someone to update the inverted app when google releases the actual app updates, and, there are sometimes quirks.
(the minor downsides outweigh the benefits IN MY OPINION, which is why I don't use 'em anymore.)
thanks a lot
i appreciate your answer
This is what inverted apps look like, from top to bottom they are:
Google+, YouTube and Gmail

I was playing around with this theme for personal use, never really planned on releasing it. Most the icons were thrown together quickly and I've already started making more polished ones. I've been running the Magic4.9 since it came out and keeping up with that has taken most my time lately lol. If there are others interested in it I will continue working on it for release.
Let me know.
Also, if anyone has and better suggestions for letter combinations please let me know. I'm thinking of changing Messaging from Me to Tx.

I think its kinda cool, though I don't know how much i would use it. College chemists would probably love it but then again maybe not. At least there is starting to be more interest in designing new themes after the comp.

Like I said it was just something I was playing around with. I was trying to make a set of icons that you could tell what it was at a quick glance...
EDIT: I APOLOGIZE FOR THE REALLY BIG SIZE PICS LOL, BUT I THINK ITS EASIER TO TELL.
alright guys, so its slighttlyyy not phone related, but since most people here take
up phone customization and a minor to your desktop customization, this seems
the perfect place to check, also i dont really belong to any other communities
haha, so here goes!
my friend was showing off his desktops, and its just so sick looking.. hes got so
much going on, yet its so simple. i really wanna find out what hes using, but i
dont exactly wanna come out and ask her lol.. -__- so i have two pictures of his
desktop, can anyone spot any of these themes hes using and tell me what they
are? ive been able to identify some of them, like rocket dock, but the rest im still
unsure about. the items in red are what im still trying to find. any ideass guys?

An original photograph, edified.

Why dont u guys download the Zedge app from market. Its a free app and links to Zedge.net.
It has thousands of high quality Wallpapers, lots of Notification tones and Ringtones.
Its a cool app, i use it to find new wallpapers all the time.
You can even search and within specific categories if you want e.g Automobiles, Babes, Landscapes, Abstract etc etc.
The coloured marbles one above is on there too.
i have been searching inverted Viber for days but no luck. Does anyone know where could i find it? or could someone make that app inverted? I really like the dark theme on my S2, and most the apps are dark now. Just Viber is still light and it makes my eyes tired while messaging at nights...
Thanks a lot in advances.

Hello folks!
I'm looking for a music player app near to Samsung's TW stock app. I don't care about any "features" or options etc.
All I want are the letters on the right side to make scrolling for a specific artist/album easier.
Since I'm on CM and Samsung's app won't work without the Touchwiz framework I was wondering whether one of you know a small cute music app with this "letter scrolling" feature.
If you don't know what I mean look at the right of the attached picture.
