Seeing as there are quite a few of us with Iconia A100 tablets, and how its one of the most popular 7 inch tablets out there, how about we get our own forum, OR failing that, a sub-forum to the A500 forum that already exists?
I mean, there are forums for tablets that haven't even been released for crying out loud (The Amazon Fire) so surely we could get a place of our own too?

can we get a section dedicated to amazon phone deals? i knwo people do post the amazon phone deals in the respective section of the phone, but if someone doesnt own the phone and is looking into buying it, the chances of them actually going into that phones forum to see the topic is quite slim...just a suggestion!

Hello there Kindle Fire Developers. I have started a Kindle Fire Rooting Guide on Wikipedia. I would like some input on this since I am only a junior member. Please take your time to do this. Thanks for helping!

Not sure if Wikipedia is the best place for that, but anyways, thanks for writing that! I'm sure very many people will find it helpful.
Moving to ????
Sorry for the Mislead in the title Yeah I guessed so. We are going to move it to somewhere else but we do now know yet where
Actually, a wiki is the absolute best format possible, compared to disparate posts across random forum sites. If only every phone/tablet/etc had a single dedicated place for information, we'd all be much better served.
A wiki is a great format (and I admit, I probably should document a LOT more on the XDA wiki) - but wikipedia isn't quite the correct location.
lol - Wikipedia is not the right place for this.
It will be deleted soon, I would copy your content before it's lost.
Wikipedia isn't for information like this, it's an encyclopedia not a tech support knowledge base.
Nice info and all, but the article is at risk for deletion. I suggest creating a wiki for this topic on its own wiki so you don't have to deal with the policies of wikipedia

Why not just add this information to the existing xda-dev wiki?

That or you check out my Ultimate Phone Guide website.

I wrote the original design for the Samsung Exhibit 2 on my site and its used on the XDA wiki. I planned on starting a guide on my site for the Kindle Fire but I couldn't get to actually writing it because I get requests for other devices. I strongly believe in giving back to communities, especially XDA. Since I don't want to use this tablet for heavy development (the large keyboard is perfect for writing guides). I don't plan on making any ROMs for the Fire. I would be more than happy to write wiki pages for my site or the XDA wiki. My site is Creative Commons license so feel free to use any existing content from my site, but I'd appreciate it if I got credit for anything used.

I'm in need of an mhl hdmi adapter... but I have read nothing but headaches in the comments on Amazon. Can someone post a link to a 100% working unit complete with 11pin adapter (Amazon or otherwise)
It would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Go straight to the source. And if you search around you can find a 50% off code to knock the price down. But I ran through the issue of getting a counterfeit off Ebay. And it was from a very reputable seller, they had 60,000 + sales with a 99.6% approval. He had no idea and I could tell he didn't I had to show him.
Just don't mess with the rest grab from Sammy, Trust me you'll be happy you did.:good:

I got this and if you use the adapter in the link below it works perfectly!

You have to use both because samsung flipped the pins on the note 2 and S3. Still for under $15 it's perfect.

Looks good to me. The semester is almost over and someone is sending me a KF2 to fix, so once it arrives, I'll go through and take screenshots of the process and finish up the guide. At that time, I'll ask the mods to clean up this topic (delete posts) so it flows well.

do you do kindle repair i have a bricked kindle fire gen 2
KFHD 8.9"
I really hope that someone can do the same for the KFHD 8.9 jem as there is no guide to fix it and I don't have the right hardware skills to do the appropriate work, I can help by posting photos of the motherboard and doing the testing otherwise ( I will have to just buy the required hardware to do this)
