ACSRecovery was originally based on CWM4 and for the Epic 4G. I updated it to CWM5 source base, and Also ported it to ET4G.
It has menu optimizations to be more efficient
New reboot menu
PreROM wipe that wipes /data and caches
PreTheme wipe that wipes caches
ACS Branding
Various underhood tweaks.
All builds will be here:

Anyone know how to flash this without ODIN? Also can't flash via cwm because of a "signature verification failed" error. I could

What kernel is this based on? I really like your recovery and I was wondering if I needed to flash the EK02 kernel again after updating to your recovery?
Potential mod, version, or port to the OG Epic!?...that new compatable ROM manager version just doesn't stick...I wind up in ACS CWM4 version and have to flash a zip everytime I want to use CWM5...smh

Any updates made to the recovery? On 1.0.0.0 wipe data does not appear to be working. Also when you backup to internal SD it skips android_secure because it is looking for it on internal SD.

This is something I put together for those of us that like to switch recoveries.
Classic Clockworkmod recovery
Touch Clockworkmod recovery
TWRP (RZrecovery)
Although this is tested and "safe" to do... DON'T BRICK YOUR NS4G
(we may have to remind you this phone has a one click return to stock)
INSTRUCTIONS:
(Must be Rooted, bootloader unlocked with drivers installed.)
1. On PC, download the zip file from
(1/31/12)
http://www.mediafire.com/?3v66vx2t777q56z
(1/29/12)
http://www.mediafire.com/?58x7lmaoizmt1z6
2. extract and open "Nexus S 4G Recoveries" file.
3. Plug phone into your computer
4. Click on the recovery you want to flash.
5. Follow the instructions.
6. Enjoy!
I DON'T DESERVE ANY CREDIT FOR ANY RECOVERY ITSELF!!!
All I did was make the .bat files.
I will follow this thread to answer any questions
If you would like me to make batch files for any of your favorite recoveries that I haven't included, just let me know.

I put all those lines of code in a batch file, included 3 recoveries, adb and fastboot all in one place . One click is easier than typing out all that code and may be more simple for newer or less experienced users. I hope I've answered your question.

Why not just do it in cwm recovery. A few clicks and you have a recovery back on your device.

I'm not sure how you would flash a different recovery from recovery mode as you need to do that from fastboot. If all you want is classic Clockworkmod recovery than you don't need these switchers. I've made batch files for the new touch version of CWM and RZ recovery, as well as the classic CWM recovery.

Ibleedandroid, Thank you for the file for the touch CWM. I have been wanting this since i'd first seen it in the portal a couple weeks back or maybe not even that long. All touch recoverys rock and since the twrp2.0 stopped working on my phone I was pist. It kept erroring out when backign up my boot partition. But ever other recovery works fine. Thanks for this gem man it works great. And your flashing tool I give a 5 stars too man very nice indeed.

No, ROM Manager is an app, while CWM is a recovery.
You can install the app called ROM Manager and within it you'll find the option to flash the latest CWM recovery.

All it takes to install cwm is a simple dd command with root access. This is what ROM manager does for you. Or you can install it manually using terminal editor

how you planning to flash this CWM zip without CWM already on your phone....are you using TWRP?
If your already rooted go to the play store and get goo.im app and from there install TWRP. In goo reboot to recovery and do a backup, then install the rom of your choice following there instructions. If your not sure do a search on rooting and installing roms.

Have you tried flashing TWRP via Odin?
Have you tried to install twrp again?
Try installing cwm (you can use the ROM manager app) and see if that boots. Then try using too to install twrp again.

Switch to cwm to make sure the recovery partition of the storage is okay. Install cwm via the ROM manager app and make sure you can get into SOME recovery. Then try to install twrp again from too. Switching to another recovery was an important step in that process.

This is a little late here, but I an others have had trouble booting into recovery after flashing ROMs like the leaked 4.3.
It behaved just like the above when I was trying to get into recovery to restore a nandriod - even after a battery pull for 1 minute. I put in into Download mode, then did a battery pull. After that, it went into recovery with no problem.
Note - if Goo Manager installed 2.5.0.3 - that could be part of the problem, as there are issues with it. I went back to 2.5.0.2.
I think some 4.3 roms make you loose root also read their op.

Omega 1.0 was the first one to indicate it was rooted - but it unrooted me. It was when I initially tried to restore a nandriod when I could not get into recovery. I had read about others not being able to get into recovery after flashing 4.3 also.
