I cant get into recovery - HTC One X

Im currently running CleanRom. I was going to download SlimICS. I was told to flash it you need CWM so I tried to flash it through fast boot and which said OKAY. Once I tried to go into recovery I was in a bootloop with the HTC logo and the red warning. Had to hold the power to get the phone to cut back on. Now when I try to go into recovery it just sits on the HTC Logo screen. Can someone help me fix this please?

1. Reboot in Bootloader. (Power + Volume - )
2. Select Fastboot mode.
3. Open your cmd (for windows). Go to Fastboot folder.
4. Connect your phone to your PC.
5. Type: fastboot erase cache.
6. Then type fastboot reboot-bootloader
7. disconnect your phone from your PC and then enter to Recovery mode. That's it.

[Q] HELP HELP Upgrading hboot gone bad

Hi Everyone,
I was trying to install the vemon viper x 3.3.6 (Im kind of new to flashing rom onto phones) onto my htc one x and had to update my hboot from 0.98 to 1.31 which i did with JBW tool and worked perfect and i unlocked my bootloader again but wen i was finished unlocking my bootloader i accendently factory reset my phone so it removed the vemon viper x 3.3.6 zip folder off my phone and cant run my old rom which is the vemon viper x 2.7 as it isnt a jellybean rom. So when i start my phone it loads the rom but doesn't boot. All i can get into is my hboot. My htc one x is s-on as well. Please any help would be great.

I flashed clockworkmod recovery onto my phone but i cant get into my phone to use the usb storage option to copy the rom onto my phone.
enter the bootloader by pressing volume - and the power button together as long as you are in the bootloader, do not let go before that.....then navigate to HBOOT - RECOVERY. it boots to recovery and activate the mount as mass storage device in the mounts and storage section (if you have CWM) if you get an error by doing that i suggest you flash the latest CWM recovery 5.8.4.0 first. older ones dont have this option !

That notification is normal, we all have that due to the usb cable being connected !
Did you install the rom with the cable connected ? That's a no go......always install a rom without the usb connected ! First put the phone into the bootloader, hold power and volume - until you are in. Then the fastboot command
Fastboot erase cache
From this point you disconnect the cable. enter the recovery and re-install the viper rom again.
You did flash the boot.img from the rom right ?

You need to flash the boot.img file just like a recovery . Boot.img file in the fastboot folder
In the command window
Fastboot erase cache
Fastboot flash boot boot.img
Fastboot erase cache
Then unhook the cable
Enter recovery and install the rom. And for the kernel question you answer with option 1.viper x delivered !

Yes put the phone in the bootloader and put this script in the fastboot folder. Open a command window there and type
Batt script.bat
http://db.tt/aLqeTpPO
It will continuesly reboot the bootloader and charge the phone little by little ! Until you got some power and can acces the custom recovery to charge it more !
If it does not work, remove the space in batt script.bat so it says battscript.bat .....

I am going to sound very stupid. Could you give me the exact line of command to use if the fastboot folder is saved in the local storage on the computer (c: drive), i dont want to do more damage then i have.:silly:
Example when the fastboot files are in
C:\fastboot\the fastboot files
Then you copy that battscript into that folder
Then you navigate to that folder and hold down shift and right click the mouse inside that folder, then choose "open command prompt here"
In that command prompt you type
Battscript.bat (hit enter)
And the phone should start rebooting.
If the fastboot folder is somewhere else you repeat my steps only change folder that i used.....

Were your drivers installed with the phone unplugged?
-Check your data-sync cable,It should not only allow your device to charge but also data-sync.( Try with another data-sync cable)
-As you stated drivers are installed. Then when you're on bootloader,It should show HBOOT-USB. If that shows than try doing same thing again.
Or else follow simple steps below:
-Copy CWM recovery.img into fastboot files.
-Unplug your device if connected to computer.
-Manually power off your device.
-Press Volume down + Power button,It will redirect into hboot.
-Select Bootloader by clicking on power button,It will change color of HBOOT from Blue to Red.
-Next thing you'll notice that it stated as HBOOT USB.
-Put your phone on side and do same commands fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-touch-5.8.0.0-ace.img
-Fastboot reboot.
Once process been done. Unplug it and boot device normally. And to check whether there's a recovery.img installed or not,Just power off your device and put on charge. In CWM it will redirect your into recovery mode while device is switched off.

Try 4EXT Recovery Update , install app , download 4EXT Recovery . Done

I've got some issue with 2.1.1 and want to go back to 2.0.8 but cannot
Mine has too after installing the official Lollipop, any help? Lollipop was buggy for me so I'd like to unbrick my Oppo.
So plug in phone AFTER booting into Fastboot mode (power+volume up) then open a command window by pushing shift and right clicking anywhere that the platform-tools folder is and then type fastboot devices and hit enter and then type fastboot oem unlock and hit enter and then fastboot flash recovery recovery.img or whatever the name of your rcovery is then just power+volume down and boot into the recovery. It helped me!

Did you hold the volume down button + power button to get to recovery mode manually right after flashing?
Gesendet von meinem ONEPLUS A3003 mit Tapatalk
If you have successfully unlocked the bootloader, you'll get a bootloader unlocked warning every time you boot. On the warning screen, click either of the volume buttons and you'll be redirected to a bootup menu. From there, you can select "boot to recovery" using the volume rocker and power button.
Alternatively, enable "advanced reboot" in developer options and reboot to recovery from the main OS power menu.
If these don't work, reflash TWRP using fastboot. Make sure that you're using at least version 3.0.3-1, best to use 3.0.4-1.
Tried manually reboot into recovery but it just reboots,
I can sucessfully unlock as i have the warning on boot, but there if i go to the menu and press for recovery it just reboots, tried several tipes of recovery TWRP imgs
Any help greatly wanted
Download this version of TWRP (jcadduono's 4.0.3-1). Rename the file to something like twrp.img.
1) Make sure adb/fastboot is working on your computer (if you've already unlocked the bootloader, then I am assuming it is).
2) Put your phone into fastboot mode and connect it to your computer. Open a command prompt where you can access fastboot.
3) Put the twrp.img file to the same folder where you opened your command prompt.
3) Enter
Code:
fastboot devices
in fastboot and make sure your phone shows up with its serial number.
4) Enter
Code:
fastboot erase recovery
to erase your current recovery
5) Enter
Code:
fastboot flash recovery [B]twrp.img[/B]
, where twrp.img is whatever you named your twrp file.
6) Enter
Code:
fastboot reboot
to reboot into your main system. You can either reboot then use advanced startup to enter recovery, or press a volume button at the bootloader warning page to boot directly to recovery.

Sometimes it helps to use fastboot to boot the image directly after you flash it. This ensures you get into recovery since it loads it off your computer.
It should then work normally afterwards

You have to hold the power and volume down to boot to fastboot until fastboot logo appears. If really broken button, I guess shorting the test pins can boot it to EDL. Need open device though.
Some tutorial video on Test point EDL (non-English): https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=BrEyAEXid_o
