How to get back stock kernel ? - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Earlier today i flashed trinity on the Gnex. I like it a little, but to me it feels laggy, and the setcpu wont let me drag the sliders to my preffered speed.
I want to go back to stock kernel that i had while using bigsies JR300C stock 4.1.1 rom.
I would appreciate a link to it. Thanks !

Bigxie's ROM wasn't AOSP either. He took a stock ROM and deodexed it (which makes it no longer stock. (As you probably noticed, he got rid of the word "stock" in his thread title. And there is no mention of AOSP, as he did not compile it.)

My friend has a slide but wants it to run faster. He doesn't want to lose Sense. What could I recommend for him to flash for a faster device but stock Sense?

Sorry I wasn't clear, yeah I know he needs root but he wants the standard Sense UI ROM but with possibly an OC'd kernal.
Not happening.... yet
So far as I know there is no way to oc the stock rom, rooted or not. Hopefully we'll be able to at some point. I think sense UI is an HTC thing so you may be hard pressed to find a custom rom with it, worth a shot though. Otherwise your friend is sol at the moment.

Tell your friend to update to CR's OTA rom, then he can OC like me to 806 if he wants. Hell he can keep it at 806 24/7 for all i care .
Ok thanks for the info guys. I'll let him know.

Check the dev forum. There is a kernel that can be OC'd.
Yeah, ran across that kernel before, there's 3 or 4 versions with different clocks. I think it's only for CyanogenMod or some other one. Maybe I'll try it with the stock rom, may end up with a paperweight though. But hey stranger things have happened

My phone is stock, rooted, and overclocked. 806/806 conservative, and 245/245 on lock screen. It can be done, and it is painless!

Still haven't got around to trying any of the kernels but it seems like I'll have to get the ball rolling now. Have you tried any of the other CM kernels with the stock rom?

Only use the ones that have "cm-espresso' in it. dont use it if it only has cm cause somethings may become broken....For example your led light(camera) might not function anymore...Those kernels with only cm are targeted to froyo roms based off the cm source.

[Kernel] Overlock 1.65ghz - Froyo Stock Sense Only

Source: (bwahahha no github)

froyo only
Kernel:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8699733/vivow/vivow.1.65.zip
Only changes are to acpulock-7x30.c , no additional credits/copyrights were in the header of the one I worked off of. If you had a hand it it, let me know so we both can fix that.
Since this isnt even available for everybody yet, is it stable at 1.65ghz?

Drob box links never work for me idk why... Will this kernel give me anything close to the quadrant score I revived with CM7? It was over 2k I just can't stand not having my sense UI

You will be able to get higher than 2000 with this kernal easily. The thing is though, I don't think you can flash back to froyo after going to GB, or atleast I can't.
this is for GB? Wish it would of stated it in the op. Where can I find a Oc kernel for froyo with this kind of potential?

I didn't back up the stock rom. If it messes up just remove the battery, go into recovery, flash back to what you were using before.

Stock Rom or Custom Rom

If what I'm looking for is performance, should I stick to a stock rooted rom?
Sent from my GT-I8150 using xda premium
In term of performance, i think xxlm8 is the best for now.
cm9 is also great but still has many bugs and no camera.
still it's yours to choose

Its depends on you bro. I still use stock rom myself. I dont have any issues on my stock rom. And so far, everything runs smooth. Btw im on stock DXLM3. I just rooted my.phone and flashed CWM and for now im satisfied. .

Both have advantages and disavantages.
If you want to stay always up to date, then you'll have to use custom roms, because Samsung doesn't care much about that.

im still confused on what supercharge can do, can you explain it? some experts recommends not to use that on our Wonder, i wonder why if it can boost the phones performance.

Well. Ive been wondering about it myself to. I'm not a pro so I went through the trial and error route.
I've tried in on Cow Rom. Kezra v6. Miui. and Rebel. My phone became more responsive after the supercharge but it became more unstable. So i switched back to the stock rom and its stable superfast.
I use option 6 only. (please note to set 99supercharger.sh to boot, if not your settings might not stick)

it certainly improves scrolling and response and I've not faced any lag at all for the past 4 weeks.
btw. backup your rom 1st before you do it.

Best JB ROM for TORO PLS?

I need to fix my friends Toro that he tried to load a junk version of JB. I'm looking for TWO answers here, most stable and working versions of stock JB AND AOSP JB...
THANKS IN ADVANCE TO ANY HELP!

There is no best ROM. Just try them all or just go stock. If you don't need customization and only want smooth and stable ROM, just stay stock. Nothing wrong with that.

There isn't stock JB for Toro or ToroPlus.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1827986
this is the best rom i have tried. after flashing it i have no reason to flash anything else. completely stock aside from a reboot menu, sms split (which some people report it bugged but it works fine for me), and some optimizations. the thing is snappy, buttery smooth and absolutely rock-stable. not one reboot yet and everything just plain works. just be sure to format data/cache/system before flashing.
take it from a former crack-flasher: i haven't found a better rom for any device i've owned.
The best is the one everyone is using. And each person is using a different ROM
What does that tell you? They are all best!

Samsung galaxy ace II [GT-I1860] JB help/ questions.
hey everyone today ive decided to make a thread for the galaxy ace 2 Jellybean users to help awnser your problems and lags and what causes them, and to ask my own questions...
JellyBean 4.1.2 (Stock rom) having tried this rom ive currently found no problems other than that horrible lock screen,
if you switch it off / lock it (via the power button) and then switch the screen on again and you get a black screen
thus so disabling the usage of lock screen/sleep does anyone know how to fix this or am i just flashing the wrong/unstable rom...
if you have a stable rom for the ace 2 (GB & JB) please share :good:
thank you and all the best,
-Speedtrix.
(PS. im not noob so fell free to use all terms to say what you think.) :good:
I would use cm10.1 and above because i never liked stock jb on our phone :/ as for gb theres no custom rom

i dont have ginger bread firmware for any european contry
