I just put mine on auto brightness, went to camera app, took a few photos and then pressed home button, seemed okay to me.
I did notice however that I can 'hear' the shutter/lens going 'click' when I press the home button, anyone else noticed this?

[Q] Phone locks then screen turns on immediately after

Running DK28 with Bonsai4All 2.0.
For awhile my phone was fine but just recently it's started acting up. When I hit the lock button my screen turns off and the phone locks, but then the screen immdiately turns back on and goes to the lock screen instead of just staying off, so I have to hit the lock button again to turn the screen off.
Any solutions? Thanks.
Sorry I don't have a solution, just thought you'd feel a little better knowing I have this annoying problem as well. Mine also decides to turn on sometimes if I touch the camera button while I'm removing it from my holster. I'm using Simply AOSP DK28.
I also have the same problem

I had this same problem on my stock Eclair, so not sure what causes it.

My keboards back light and soft buttons will not come on unless I change the brightness then it shuts back off once I time out the screen and back on. I've tried everything and can't get it back! Please help no backlight is really annoying!

Anyone has any idea what this power shutter toggle does?

Its ICS Camera+ that has this option I believe.
I have the ICS+ Camera (paid version) and that option is not there. I am also wondering what app is OP using.
This option is in the regular camera app in the rom that I am running. AOKP Milestone #4. ICS 4.0.3 last time I checked.
You first hit the settings button (the sliders button next to the zoom) then you hit the three little squares icon that is on the left. There you will find that setting.
That function works well on my phone. I set it to ON, and now my phones power button is the shutter button when my camera is open of course.
Thanks for letting me know about this feature =)

That's what it does!
I just tried it and it works perfectly! Nice!!
Yeap, i am using AOKP m4
Doesn't work for me though.
tried it on stock kernel and franco's m1 but it still isn't working. it just switches of the screen.
Edit: you'll have to close the camera app and run it again and it'll work fine =)
Turn it on reboot your phone and then it should work.

I found you need to hold the power button down for a few seconds, then it takes the picture. Simply pressing it quickly does indeed turn the screen off. It would have made a lot more sense to use one of the volume buttons.
It doesn't turn the screen off for me. It works fine. I can press it quickly, or hold it down and release. Both snap the pic normally for me.

Yep I agree with the poster above. I can also do it as quick as possible, or hold down for 5+ seconds and let go, and both times it will take the pic normally (focused and everything).

Bump. Has anyone found or figured out how to create a cwm flashable file to mod the stock jellybean camera to do this?

[Q] My One X sometimes has trouble "waking up", has anyone else had this?

I have recently encountered a problem with my hox, where, if I press the power button, the screen doesn't awake. It's a little weird, because the back home app switcher buttons do light up if it is dark enough around me and, after pushing them a few times, the volume buttons respond as well.
I haven't fully tested it, but it seems like when I wait like a minute or so, maybe more, the screen does finally wake up. I have also held the power button several times to restart it while it was like this and then the screen doesn't light up until the sim unlock screen pops up.
I have yet to factory reset the phone etc., but I was wondering if anyone else had run into this problem. I have looked around the internet, but was unsure what to search for.

Are u using sweep to wake?, that sometimes causes this problem
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
Nope, I do not have sweep to wake.
Well, after a while of being okay, the issue is showing up again. If I press the power button it does wake the phone somehow (back, home, tasks lights light up, volume can be altered), but the screen wont come on. And when it's one of those rare moments that it does turn on the UI flies everywhere, making it literary uncontrolable, until at some point the screen just turns itself off.
I am not running any custom things, everything is stock. I tried a factory reset without erasing the SD storage. I also have just sent an email to HTC, but it being weekend and all I still have to wait a day or two.
Any other things I could try?
Never had this problem with the HOX.
Only with Xperia Arc and X10 when a heavy task ran in the background

Hi, I was wondering what did you do regarding the lockscreen problem. I'm having exactly the same problem here. I've already done a factory reset but it did not solve the issue. From time to time I'm not able to unlock the phone.
Please HELP!!!
It sometimes happens to me, recently after clearing the clock and weather apps and widgets. I don't know what it is.

Odd display issue P600

Hi
Came home from work today unlocked the tab but the display had gone murky down one side. Thought this a bit off so rebooted, display looked like it had returned to normal. It went into standby and I went to unlock it but the display wouldn't come back on!
The capacitive buttons light up at the bottom, if I remove the pen it makes the pen removal noise, if I press the lock button I can swipe the screen and the unlock sound occurs, but nothing from the display at all. I reboot the device and it's fine till I lock it again.
It was running stock TW rooted. Have factory reset and still the problem remains. Any suggestions?
Cheers
