http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3&model=SGH-I927&pcode=0&os=1&type=1#firmware
http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=SGH-I927
Since I have made this blooper in the past, please check and reconfirm that this is the official ICS release from AT&T
Below is the link to the official Rogers GB rom.
Removed the incorrect link which was for another device..
That rom seems to be for "SGH-I727" and our phone is "SGH-I927".
I think SGH-I727 is the Samsung SII.
So close, but no cigar :/

I see what u mean.... that site has the Rogers GB rom.. http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=SGH-I927R
BTW I did pick up the captivate glide... hopefully see some ICS & JB love from the devs soon.
Once the ICS update rolls out to our glides I'm sure a dev will grab it and work on a ROM for it.
Close this b4 it gets way outta hand..

Yes, stop getting our hopes up!
Not installed yet.. still downloading .. release date is 20th Aug...
http://samsung-updates.com/get/2620/Samsung_Firmware_SGH-I927_ATT_I927UCLH2_Android_4_0_4.html should be direct download link
That is a direct link, but hotfile link from sanmobile is much faster for me..
Unfortunatelly this version has all of the problems, what was wrong with the leaked one, so after I flashed this on my phone, I went back to the leaked (and fixed ) one.
Keyboard lights and internet tethering didn't work for me (I am a Hungarian Captivate Glide user).

We need a base rom before we can cook. To get a base rom we need an official update. A rom dump won't work for cooking purposes. We do have shmoov_groovz on LG-eXpo.com working with LG Product Pro from lgcommunity.com to find us the base rom that is already loaded on the phone. They haven't been able to turn up anything yet though. Hopefully they will find something or we will have an update in March.
trust me once we can make roms we will lol. and once we do the flood gates will be open.
dark ...u said at the end of the post we will have an update in march? i haven't seen anything on this what type of update?

I didn't say we will have an update in March I said hopefully they will find something or we will have an update in March. Meaning I hope that they find something soon or I hope that we will have an update in March. I say March because that is when we got our first Incite update. I don't know for sure that an update is coming in March I'm just hoping that LG will release one in March based on the timetable they used with the Incite.
WHY..
Im sorry but the Expo is a waste of a Snapdragon this phone Just all out Blows..lol but to each is own
nucentury08 sounds like you are a little to HTC biased not to mention you should know that all stock phones suck(including htc's). Just curious have you ever used an expo?

Just wondering why you're looking through this forum then. Why are you interested in the discussion about this phone if it "blows"?
pretty excited things are finally coming together. time to unleash the power of our phone!
I see a lot of people talking about having 2.2 on there i9000. Where do you get it? I thought you had to wait for it to come on keis. Can someone explain this? Thank you
Yep the update comes on kies and pretty much everyone has got it now. Other then that u can flash ur device to froyo via odin.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
Froyo is rolling out across the networks not al have it yet .
One you wait for your network to supply an official update and then use Samsung Kies to update .
Or you download whatever copy of 2.2 you want use Odin to flash it to your phone .
Negatives with flashing one voids warranty and two very small possibility of bricking your phone . So in your shoes i would wait until your network releases update .

Wrong section. Not Q&A.
Long Time Reader first time Poster !
I have rooted my phone and flashed my phone a bunch of times. All of them went great. When The gingerbread OTA came through I flashed back to the Orginal Build Number of Sph-d700 Eclair.dI18 and then updated the phone through the OTA froyo and then to the gingerbread. Then the phone was rooted and all was good for months. Then an update came for the phone that Could not be done because of the root.
Finally after months of saying no to the message of installing an update I figure , I ll flash the phone back to the Eclair with the tar and pit file I have always used and then update it fully just using the wifi.
Heres the problem. Everything went great and I am using the orginal Eclair again but no update has been sent to the phone for 3 days when normally it was instant ?
So I look through the forums for the Froyo update.zip and every link I find is Dead ?
Any thoughts on the next step ? any help would be amazing, Thanks

Use this video and youll be on the latest build of gingerbread : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTQ6Rn0FBSk
although i dont think its necessary to have repartition checked.. but as long as the flash goes smooth you wont have any problems.
Ill give it a shot and let you know how it goes

Well for the time being Im just going to stay stock for a few days to see if any updates come through. then Ill root it so I can teather and get all my game saves back
The amount people change phones you figure it would be super easy to transfer game saves ?????
I have the epic since september 2010 and still love it !
the app rooted my nitro p930(stock 2.3.5) in a single attempt !
so this should work on any gb version !
haven't tried it on ics yet, still testers can try this on leaked ics !!

as far as I know there isn't a new way to root the phone. This one just looks like it takes all the methods so far and puts them in an easy to use tool.
I believe the Android version of 2.3.5 on the Telus P935 has some parts removed before it is made, to prevent rooting.
I am still hoping to have a rootable Telus KDZ file in the future, so I can go back to stock (just incase). But I'll have to wait untill the next Telus update to find out.
Unless someone with a Telus P935 can chime in and says it works. Then they can use that phone to pull the KDZ files or something like that (don't know how that works, still learning).
I'm just glad it is possible with this phone - even if it is kinda a bit fragmented to get it done.

can someone please help me with this questions-
1/will i get the update? how?
2/if the answer for [1] is no, then what can I do to overcome this problem and to get the update?

Is it VZW/Sprint? If so, it might be months until you get it.. that is if they approve of the update anyways. GSM you will get it mid july.. rooted.. you have it right now.

How can I check it? I haven't got even to 4.0.4 so it makes sense for me that I wont be updated..
If I root my phone, will my sms(which arent sycronised) deleted?and what about the rest of my information on the phone? can it damage my phone?
Rooting and flashing ROM's can damage your handset if you don't know what you're doing. Most flashing errors can be erectified though.
Where are you located in the world?
Verizon and Sprint are US based LTE handsets, they arent sold outside the states since they cant work on other LTE networks. Take a picture of your "About phone" page (screenshots can be taken with pressing "Volume down + Power" simultaniously.

when I press the' check now' button it ALWAYS says:

Jellybean isn't officially updated yet mate. You won't get the update for at least two weeks if you have a stock phone. Those of us running it all have rooted phones or were at google i/o and got given jellybean phones.

Have you tried to clear Google framework data and the try to check for updates again?
Swiftkey'ed on my CM9 Galaxy Nexus
I understand your confusion. A Nexus phone should get the update as soon as possible.
I just updated my phone yesterday, thanks to efrant how to guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1419170&highlight=yakjuzs
the problem is so many builds, I learned that yakju build is directly supported by google. However, today I learned that the build takju got the Jellybean update. Question what about the rest, yakjuux, yakjuzs, yakjujp.....etc.? I don't know, only android team knows the update process, so I hope they post something about that in google+, but I doubt that.
We have to wait, either get it OTA(which my never happen) or flash the update manually as soon google post the update URL's specified for your phone build.
If you have quadrant standard installed you can see your build under system information.
