Portable charger - Samsung Captivate Glide

I have 2 batteries and I was wondering if there is a thing that can charge the second battery
sent from INC3PTION V1 SGH-1927 (captivate glide)

I found an external charger on ebay it was $13
sent from INC3PTION V1 SGH-1927 (captivate glide)

Let us know how it works out, I'm interested. As cheap as it is, I really don't want to blow $13 plus buy a second battery only to find out the charger is garbage.

OK I will let you know it also lets you charge your phone and has an led to tell you when its charged
Here is where I got it http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=190562373827

It works but it charges slow but if you ask me thats a good thing i like it bit there might be better

I bought that charger as well with some extra batteries works well, except 1 thing. One of the legs on the charging contacts popped in, so I had to open it up and place it back then I glued them all in place. If you're charger suddenly does not want to charge and says every battery is full check the contacts.

Another thing i dont like is the way the battery goes in i wish there was a cover because it looks easy to knock the battery out

[Q] Spare battery w wall charger!!

I am usually on the go and have had problems with my vibrant dying on me. I would like to buy a spare battery and wall charger which are both efficient/quality and affordable. I use my phone extensively when I travel and it acts, almost, as a life line for me. Please advise with information on potential solution.
Thanks.
P.S. This question may have been asked before but can someone provide updated info/links.
Heres the wall charger I use - http://www.ebay.com/itm/USB-Battery...ccessories&hash=item4aadd9fa50#ht_4889wt_1313
not sure about the battery because i paid a little more for the 1650mah one
this battery comes with a 3 year warranty - http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-BATTERY...ccessories&hash=item231427e052#ht_1381wt_1313
I bought an OEM spare battery with charging box on Amazon for about $25 six months ago. Maybe it would be cheaper now?

I'd send a link but not at a PC right now.

Awsome 3500 MA Replacement Battery With cover
Hey Brother, I run a Largecar for a living, and I use my phone more than anybody else I know of, including, navigation and as a speedometer!
This battery's worked out really well, and its incredibly priced right!!
The cover works perfect on my T-959 Vibrant even though its advertised for an I9000 which essentially are the same phones!!
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/180683430970?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
Oh and BTW one more thing, when you go to Modding/flashing your phone, don't use this battery, take it out and use the OEM Samsung one, because its lacking some signature or code internally, and I found out the hard way, it wont allow ODIN or CWM to function right!! ODIN fails to pass until I swap to the OEM, and CWM wasn't acting right as well
Hope it works for you, It sure has for me!!

A charger to charge the original Captivate battery

Nobody in the previous post addressed this. Is there a stand-alone charger in the market that can charge the original battery. I bought on on amazon. Turns out it only charges the battery that comes with it. I have 3 Samsung Captivate batteries and I really need a stand-alone charger.
Thanks.
I'm pretty sure Samsung makes one. Or at least I saw it on their site at one time. I'd check there

The one that I bought is made by Samsung, but it only charges the battery that comes with it. Id Does NOT charge the original Samsung battery.
So the question is still open.
I bought this one. The prongs on the. back for the outlet can be flimsy, so I ordered two last time.
http://www.cellphoneshop.net/i9000desktop.html
I've looked at that one too. Thanks.
this is the one that I use,,it is cheap but it works for me at least,on every battery I have tried it with
http://www.amazon.com/Battery-Charg..._1_2?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1317666715&sr=1-2
the one i got from samsung works just fine as a stand and a original battery charger .
I think mobiletechvideos have them. go check them out ~

Thanks, dude, just what i've been looking for

[Q] Powermat or similar alternatives?

So my charger port is officially done. This phone is my ONLY means of communication outside of home (which is where I am mostly). I was looking for something that would charge my phone in other ways. Kinda need something I can go to Walmart or Best Buy and grab (so I can get it today).
I came across the Duracell Powermat for Samsung Galaxy S/Vibrant. The description says for "Galaxy S and Vibrant models" but upon a Google search I found a year old post saying it won't work on the Epic 4G.
So is there a powermat for the Epic? Does the Vibrant one really work on the Epic and others were wrong? Is there an alternative?
Thanks in advanced.
P.S. - I am not going to mod the device or take it apart to add stuff. If there is no powermat or alternative I'll just pay the $100 deductible I trying to avoid.

I used my friends powermat on my epic last year. It still requires that you hook up a cable to the epic's micro usb and then charge it with the magnetic thing.

The USB port on the phone is completely useless at its current state.
This is a serious question though it sounds ridiculous but, can the battery charge itself? The phone would go dead, not charge, sit off for an hour and it suddenly has 60-80% after turning off at 15-5%

Awesome batteries, and you get a universal phone battery charger that works very well, so it'll even charge your stock battery.

In my opinion powermats are only a waste of money.. it just looks cool. Convenient, yes. But it doesn't make your phone charge any faster.

You shouldn't have to pay the deductible for a USB port problem. You pay that for water damage, broken screens and if you lose it.
Between my instinct, palm pre and this phone I've probably swapped close to 30 phones for insurance and have never payed a deductible. If they say you have to pay it go to a different store.

Sprint tech at a store looked at it and said it was damaged and I would have to pay a deductible. And I not driving an extra hour to possibly be told the same thing. Plus I started poking around and a peace of gold metal fell out, of ourselves this was after it stopped working.

I know it's nearly 2 months old, but I'd like to expand and share my new-found knowledge/common sense. Apparently you can buy batteries that are wireless charging compatible, to where you just swap your oem battery for these wifi charging batteries and place it on whatever mat hardware to have that wireless charging experience, where do they sell it? Which companies? Who knows, but its out there, and something tells me the GSIII comes with one.

Question about sph-d710 and the I9100

My girlfriends phone has been acting strange. Showing that it is charging when nothing is plugged in, beeping consistently, and instead of shutting down it reboots. We took it in to Sprint and they said it has minor water damage in the bottom half. No insurance so nothing they could do.
It seems like an easy fix if I can find the part. It would be the USB Flex Cable I believe and its only $10ish dollars on ebay.
The problem I'm having is that I cant find the USB Flex Cable for the sph-d710 just ones for the Samsung Galaxy S2 I9100.
I emailed the seller of
cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=321003355943&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123
this listing and he said "this should fit". I just want to be sure it is the same cable before I order it.
I cant find any tutorial so I'm just going to follow along with this
youtube.com/watch?v=aChzv3IzxsU
Video.
Any advice or tips on replacing the cable?
Is this the right cable for the job?
Thanks!

Was there any visible sign/ troubleshoot method to figure out it was the battery? Was the battery bulging and would spin?
Her battery is still flat so it doesnt seem like the lithium is leaking or anything.
Just trying to narrow things down before I spend money on a new battery.
Thanks for your quick reply
Edit: Also the water detecting sticker on the battery is still white so it doesnt appear to be water damaged.

You actually could get a battery cheaper off of Amazon than the eBay route your going. But I figured mine was the battery because I had a spare one to test with and as soon as I popped that one I realized it was the OEM battery and was failing with no physical signs other than performance and the fast discharge and random reboots. How old is her battery ?

Check the threads here a lot of people are having issues with the original battery. Seems they are all failing around the same time. But do a search on Amazon and read some reviews before buying a replacement battery but I personaly would recommended the 2 batteries plus wall charger for $20 its awesome you can use one battery while charging the other. Never have a dead phone again. Or just grab an OEM battery for about $5. Do you know any one that has a compatible battery to just test with?
One more thing you got this phone off of Craigslist is it rooted with a custom rom ?

Anyone have the Lugulake wireless charger/battery bank?

I've just received it in the post. Just trying to figure out the instructions.
Once plugged in i have a solid red light and a flashing blue light.
I assume this means charging the battery bank?
What does the silver button actually do?
Thanks

I've got two. One was never used. Took bout an hour to get a full change. (No flashing blue lights.) The other I have used a few times to top up the phone. I never did fully charge this one before use. Been charging for quite awhile now.
I left it on overnight! Lol

I doesn't take long to charge the battery pack if you have a good power supply to plug it into. I am using a 12w usb charging adapter and it seems to work fine. Phone charges quickly wirelessly haven't tried wired much except to see that it does work. Also both work at the same time! I am liking it but have only had it a couple of days so far.
Almost forgot the manual is horribly written, truly the worst manual I have ever personally seen. It looks like it was written by a 10 year old kid whose second language is English. It probably even worse than a google translation! LOL In fact I would almost bet thats what they did to write the Engrish part.

I wouldn't know about NFC. How do I check that?
I'm on my second Lugulake after the first one stopped charging after 3 days. The wifi worked but the battery would not hold a charge. They sent me a replacement unit.
I got mine through Amazon.
The unit works great as it has a good surface area, and using the usb cable, I'm able to plug it into my cigarette lighter in my car to charge wirelessly. I like the fact I can unplug and essentially still have a charging I can take anywhere without a plug.
The only gripe I really have is for a 70 dollar item, it feels flimsy. It's made of all plastic and it feels more like a 30 dollar item.
I'll be able to test it out further during the Thanksgiving holidays to make sure this isn't another faulty unit.
