In theory if I restored my data to the green now, it would work right? Same base.

Not sure, depends on what you backed up on.
From an Acer based rom such as Stock, Flex, Green, then POSSIBLY. Don't restore system Apps, only user apps and data.
From CM9 or jellybean/cm10, then I wouldn't advise it. It'll restore settings that don't exist in each other and will likely cause issues.
In general I don't recommend restoring data on a ROM other then what it was backed up on, even on the same base.
I'm on stock ics right now, I know different versions cause fc's, but same base....
The tab is a bit more than my transform...lol I only use it for phone things.
I'll post my results tonight.
UPDATE!
Worked flawlessly, as expected.

I had a black E4GT set up running Blazer 3.8 with EK02 modem. I just got a brand new white E4GT. I want to transfer all my apps and settings and such to the new phone. Can I do that by doing a Titanium backup on the black one and then copying the file over to the white one and doing the restore there? I plan on flashing the white one to Blazer 4.1 and FB27 modem first and then will do the restore. Will that work and is that the best way to do it? Shouldn't restore using CWM right? Thanks.

Could just swap the boards and do it that way, but you'll be as the same exact place (Blazer 3.8) on your new phone.
I would restore everything into a Blazer 3.8 fresh install and then work on upgrading to Blazer 4.1. Restoring apps using Titanium Backup from Gingerbread into ICS can lead to problems though and I would recommend against it.

I was going to the Blazer 4.1 version that is still GB. In that case, this should work right? Just wondering if somehow there are differences between the black and white ones that would mess things up in the restore. I usually also restore system settings because it's such a pain to re-set everything. Hoping that won't cause a problem.

Sorry, I assumed Blazer 4.1 was ICS. My fault.
The internals between black and white are completely the same. You should have pretty good luck with transferring settings from one phone to the other.

Worked pretty well. Restored system data too so kept almost all my settings, wifi points, etc. The one thing that's not working is the audible tones for the dial pad, screen selection and screen lock sounds. I've tried checking and unchecking the options but that's not working (it worked for haptics though). Is there any way to fix this without wiping everything? Is there a clear data for these settings? Thanks.
I just installed CM9 to try and get the link to cell on my home phone to work. The Stock ICS would pair with my home phone but not connect up correctly. I was hoping the the raw build of CM9 might fix this bluetooth issue, but i guess not. Seems like the only way my phone will connect is under GB. How can i go back to GB without brickiing my phone? Can i use sfhub's one click odin to EL29? Do i have to wipe anything first??
EDIT: In addition, now i have a triangle on my phone, i want to use triangle away, but it does make me nervious. In any case, would i use this before going back to GB or after?
I was able to go back to GB using one click odin EL29. That worked just great! The problem is now when i tried to restore my apps from titainium backup it complains that my android id change? I dont know how to change it back since im not using the pro version? Is there a way to do this? I have an app for my work that requires restoring uses the same ID, otherwise i need to contact IT department again to get my mail working again
Hopefully you made a nand back up of your previous before you flashed cm9, I would just restore that.

yeah that would have made sense, but i didnt. I figured that you cant really restore but i guess you could have. i didnt think i would have to go back
In tibu under preferences choose manage android ID and try restore id from backup see if you can restore it I think it saves your id to sd
Edit: not sure if that works without pro I've had pro version for over 2 yrs  but worth a try

I didn't nandroid backup because I thought it was a waste of time since you can't really restore them on different roms. I just assumed that since everything was backed up with TB that I could just restore the apps and data. I had no ideas that the android ID would change. I'm not quite sure what that really is. I wouldn't think a factory reset would change it but I guess I was wrong.
At some point last night I was able to get the apps to show up in TB list. That's said the one app I need for work did restore but does not sync with our servers anymore. I can only guess it has something to do with the android ID. In order to see the apps again I redid ODIN el29, which changed my android ID yet again. I thought that was something that was burned into the phone somehow. TB is still asking if I want to restore not the original one but the 2nd one if that makes sense.

I used the internarional toolkit v1.0 to root my phone the day after T-Mobile released it, and had minor stability issues frequently; if an app locked up, a battery pull was required to fix it, sometime "system" would request superuser access 8-10 times in a row before the phone would reboot itself, stuff like that. I wrote it off as something that I would worry about when I had more time to switch to a new ROM. Boy, do I regret waiting.
My phone locked up, like normal, and I performed a battery pull. When I replaced it and booted the device, I was greeted by a holo-style popup saying "Android is updating" or something to that effect. It would then load my lockscreen and respond for about 10 seconds before completely freezing again.
A full wipe fixed this, so I took this opportunity to switch to a different ROM. I lost my SMS' and all app data aside from the few Titanium backups I had. I don't know if the OS just borked itself, or if it somehow tried to download an OTA update, or what.
But if you experience these issues, or used the original international version of the toolkit with options 4-3-1, then you might want to switch to a custom ROM before it's too late.
Heeeeeed my waaaaarrrrnnniiiiinnnngggg...
EDIT: I guess I wasn't terribly clear due to my wording and being tired. Yes, I know doing a full wipe and flashing a ROM will cause me to lose my data. I was just saying that due to the fact that the only way to fix the device was a full wipe, I lost my data. All I'm saying really is to watch out for these issues or else you'll be in the same boat I was with no backups to restore from.
I don't understand. If you switch your ROM you're going to lose previous data unless you back it up. You do a backup before anything.

Confused too - of course you're going to lose your data after a full wipe.

I added a clarification to my first post. All I was saying was that if anyone else is having issues similar to mine, back up your data before it's too late, like it was for me.
No problems here. I rooted my SGN2 with v1.0.0 and just de-bloated all tmobile apps with Titanium since first day release and never had an issue. Of course, some apps don't work with the SGN2, but it just tries to start and then after a few seconds it comes back, but this probably has more to do with the apps. This also happens with custom roms too.
I'm now just using rooted stock debloated tmobile rom. Seems to run the best without any issues.
might be off topic but i noticed when i tried to go back to factory with odin it flashed the rom and i lost root but it did not erase data at all. is this normal when using odin? or do i need the PIT file to go 100% stock?
I rooted threw odin. Whats the difference threw toolkits?

Efs is the only thing that worry me with Galaxy Note 2. Several methods of backing up. But seems that it is unclear if any method is really backing up efs within Galaxy Note 2. There seems to be differences between GS3 efs and GN2 efs.
No real solid clear evidence or clarification which and if any efs backup method actually backs up Galaxy Note 2 efs. And no real solid clarification on how to restore Galaxy Note 2 efs. And no solid clear evidence or clarification that if the Galaxy Note 2 efs restore method actually restores the efs correctly.
Hi. I'm currently on stock rom 4.1.2 and rooted. If I go in settings and family tory reset my phone will it remove root? I couldn't get a straight answer anywhere else. Thanks for your help.
Sent from my SGH-T889 using Tapatalk 4
No, it might remove updates applied to the Superuser application you're using (initial install being in /system and updates in /data), as well as which apps were granted root access but that's it. Factory reset deletes the contents of the /data partition, meaning your user apps and settings will be deleted. Depending on the options set, the internal SD card will be wiped, or not.
On the other hand, flashing back to stock with the original, unrooted Samsung images through Odin will remove root.
Thanks for the clear answer. I appreciate it.

Out of curiosity, are you specifically looking for a way to remove root, or are you just wanting to factory wipe it without losing root?

well here's the whole thing. i dont want to remove root. i want to flash to cyangenmod. I already tried cyangenmod 10.2 4.3 and it didn't work out for that well (battery life was ****, no data connection) so i moved back to stock. i was just curious to know if it did or not cause' i couldn't find straight answer anywhere else (or maybe i didn't look hard enough).

Ah, I gotcha. I only ran CM for a bit, just didn't like the interface, but I certainly found it to be solid. And no, a standard master reset win't unroot you, it's (generally) done by a process much like rooting the phone, uses ODIN and all that. I believe there might be an application that lets you do it sans PC, but don't quote me on that. Barring highly unusual circumstances, you should still be rooted. To get back to stock, did you just restore your stock ROM backup, or did you flash it back in?

Ah, then look into TouchWiz ROMs based on the international LTE variant, the N7105.
FYI: If you didn't like CM for cosmetic reasons, it does have a theming engine. Or perhaps something like MIUI might be right up your alley.

its not the cosmetic reasons. i really liked CM but my data connection wasn't working and battery life i got was crap (heres the thread where i attached the screenshots http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2426910). CM looked and operated fine. i'm currently on slimrom and had the same thing. but i fixed it by going to access points and restoring defaults for the access points.
do you know any good roms for note 2? i dont care about s pen as long it can navigate through (dont care about hovering/airview crap). i'm looking for a good stable rom that has customization and good battery life.
Thanks.

I am currently using Jedi Master 16. Definitely stable and has customization out the wazoo, comes with a few themes to it, LMT controls for shortcuts, XPosed and an icon changer. The battery life is...okay. Not the worst, but not the best. I just underclock my processor and run Battery Doctor. Usually keeps me with a decent battery life, but again, not the best. For truly good battery life, you'd probably need an aosp rom.
Unless there's something I'm missing, Shado?

In past devices I've owned lately (can remember which cuz there's been A LOT) I've noticed that at times, when i restore a back up i suddenly have bugs that weren't there b4. I'm not saying it's common but i HAVE seen it. I wanna try installing some mods my phone but b4 i do I'm gonna create a back up. Im just hoping that if i do have too restore a back up that it's not gonna suddenly create problems. My set up is dam near perfect right now. So I'm just putting some feelers out here: has anyone restored a back up using TWRP? And if so, was everything running perfectly afterwards?
Thanks.
Never had an issue.

Just did it today. No problems at all.
I have noticed stuff like google play services needing to be updated even though it was just updated and smart cards stop working. Never anything major though and it only happens every now and then.

Yeah, i do too. I think it was a while back on the note 3 that even when wiping fully you'd still get issues. Just glad to see others aren't having problems with this device. Thanks.

That's because TWRP was horribly broken on the Note 3 for a long time. It wasn't restoring SELinux contexts properly so you'd wind up with a non-functional device (e.g. every app FC'd on launch, device would bootloop, etc.). It was also corrupting exFAT-formatted SD cards due to a buggy FUSE implementation. (I helped bigbiff troubleshoot and fix all of it over the past year.)
I had to restore contexts manually via adb after a TWRP restore before rebooting into Android. They only fixed that in the 2.7.1.0 release IIRC.
I haven't had a single problem. Restores perfectly. I do wipe like 3 times first though.
