No its 2 different radios on each of those phones. We all wish this would be possible as it is overseas. Until then we don't get to choose the provider for our phones as you do cable providers when you buy a TV.

Oh...... Sorry for bugging you guys then. I just thought since it was lte that they were the same.

I did some research (apparently not enough) and discovered that verizon phones will work on US Cellular networks. Get them to change the ESN, do an over the air update ETC ETC .. well I'm sure you can guess what happened now.
Apparently the Galaxy Nexus doesn't HAVE and ESN? well, does anyone have any idea what I can do here? I really love the GN, verizon was too expensive. . fma.

The UK (GSM) version will work on AT&T and T-Mobile in the United States

The CDMA is for LTE only. Doesn't work for Sprint or any other carriers other than Verizon.
I don't understand what you want us to say? .... Get the GSM version instead? or wait for Sprint's version to come out, which can be awhile.
only 3G Verizon phones will work on US cellular.

if you bought the phone return it ASAP.
I am interested in the ONE-X, but only i fI have the one with the Tegra 3 processors. I'd like that because they are the same as my Asus TF201. My question is can I get a GSM ONE-X to work with AT&T's network? I know it won't be LTE, but would it at least work on the H+ network? I have the Inspire 4G now and I believe h+ will be good enough if i can get it.

LOL I wasn't worried about that, I just wanted to make sure I would still have the 4G, or rather 3.5G, data capabilities.

So just to clarify, are you getting 3g, 3.5g, or 4g? (and arent 4g/lte the same thing for that matter?)

No I dont think 4g and LTE are the same.
I am getting HSPA+ speeds using ATT. ATT considers HSPA+ to be 4G.
LTE i believe is completely different than 4g.
What AT&T and T-Mobile (and Verizon for that matter) refer to as 4G isn't technically 4G. Legally by ITU definitions only LTE, WiMax2, etc. are truly "4G" technologies.
That said, the Intl 1X supports all the frequencies necessary to operate on AT&T other than LTE (for that you need the neutered dual core US version). All I did last night was create a new APN in Network Settings for broadband speeds (I know it has an AT&T APN in there by default but I wanted to ensure the settings were correct).

No. Only edge network will work. 3g and 4g work on completely different spectrum and radio frequency

If that was true the galaxy note from att wouldn't get T-Mobile 4 g which it does when flashing a blaze 4g modem I also want to know if this will work on the att s3

That may be true about the Note 2, but an ATT S3 does not have the T-Mobile 3/4G frequencies.

Yes this guys right. Take a look for yourself:
ATT Galaxy Note Specs
T-Mobile Galaxy S3 Specs
ATT Galaxy S3 Specs
Notice how the Note and the T-Mobile Galaxy S3 have that 1700 Mhz frequency? Thats what T-Mobile broadcasts their 3G/4G spectrum on. If the phone doesnt have those frequencies, then it wont work no matter what you do.

That's different. It is a whole different phone with a whole different SoC.
Let's not say things that we cannot prove.
Don't shoot this guy completely down. It will get T-Mobile 3g/4g as soon as T-Mobile refarms their network.

Yeah, because they live in one of the small parts of the US that uses the 1900mhz band for HSPA. It will not work everywhere else.

Yes, HSPA+ will be fine. But as you said, no LTE.
I'm buying an unlocked T-mobile Galaxy s3 from a really nice guy. I'm on AT&T, and would like to A) confirm it will work on HSPA+, and B) I would like to know how to go about setting it up on the Medianet plan.

Someone may correct me but I don't think HSPA+ will work on ATT. They use different frequencies. If you had the international SGS3, HSPA+ would work on ATT.
OK thank you, I'll pass on the GS3, I'll just keep my iphone
It works. T-Mobile s3 has the frequencies needed. My s3 is T-Mobile unlocked and using it with at&t.

+1. The T999 supports 850/1700/1900/2100 for HSPA+. Therefore it will work on Atts H+. I use both T-Mobile and straight talk on my t999.

I assume that is something to do with at&t if so, you would have a better chance asking there.
Just was wondering if an Unlocked AT&T samsung galaxy s3 would work on T-mobile?? I think it would as the frequency's are the same. Also would AT&T samsung galaxy s3 get t-mobile LTE???
Sounds like a dumb question. What I'm asking: would at&t GS3 work on t-mobile LTE as the frequency's look the same?? Of course if I have T-Mobile LTE in my area. And also the AT&T GS3 is unlocked but, It was AT&T with LTE 700MHZ,1700MHZ and 2100MHZ.
Thanks

If you're in a T-Mobile refarmed area (1900Mhz), then you will get HSPA+ with an unlocked AT&T S3. Also, if I remember correctly, T-Mobile LTE uses Band 4, the same band as AT&T. So if there is LTE coverage in your area, you should get LTE connection, provided your APNs are set correctly.
