I would like to know how to play music from my phone to my xbox, the wireless connection keeps cutting out on airplay so I want to do it with a wire.

U can just plug in the USB in the Xbox and it will work I think. It used to work when I had my g2x but my Xbox broke so I can't check

Due to the fact that the GNex does not have USB Mass Storage, this will not work

Download Doubletwist, and Airsync. Doubletwist is free, Airsync costs $4.99. Airsync is an add-on to Doubletwist that enables wifi streaming, so that you can sync your music library wirelessly.
Make sure your device is on WiFi, then open up Airsync. Click on the second option, Airsync 'configure wireless Xbox360/PS3 streaming".
Next, go to 'Music Library' on your dashboard.
You should see your Android device as an option on the source menu. Select it.
The first time you connect, it takes a minute to show the artists, albums, songs, etc. Once it finds them all, from that point on you can browse your music collection and play your tunes with ease.

Due to the traffic on my network, the music cuts out and skips, thus the reason I would like to have a wired connection from my phone to my xbox.

Ohhh...I see. Have you tried plugging it with a USB cable into the Xbox? I've never tried but when I had my G2, I did that sometimes and it worked.

You could try an MHL adapter and use HDMI out - not sure if it would work with just audio, but it's perfect with movies...

hmmm...I know ArkMC app stream video to Xbox and to TV also

I'm not sure the purpose ..does your TV have amazing speakers? Regardless just do this ... get 2 composite / rca y adapter ( one male two females ) or a small splitter. Then also get a 1/8th stereo to composite/ rca cable and plug headphone out to one of the split red/white audio inputs.
Also if you have an OTG adapter you can just toss whatever mp3s onto a flash drive which will play if plugged into Xbox USB.
Lastly you have router QoS setup since you state your high traffic?

Why would I want to pair my Samsung T.V. to my Samsung Epic Touch 4g?

Hello everybody, I have a question and I know there is a wealth of Tech wisdom on this forum. How can I benefit pairing my cellphone to my samsung t.v. set via bluetooth? I want to learn new things to do with my cell phone.

I'm guessing it has to do with options. I imagine not everyone has wifi.

yeah I used the remote app before. Works fine, has all the buttons the normal remote does. All of them don't fit on the screen though. You actually have to scroll up and down the remote from what I remember.

I don't BT to my TV, bt on my TV runs my keyboard.
That actually seems really cool to me. Do all sammy tvs do that?

Allot of the newer ones do. Mine does allot more MINE. Dont even need a PC for the TV now.
I have a Panasonic viera plasma instead of a Sammy set and it works great from my phone. It uses wifi to connect instead of bt.
With Allshare, I can view pics and stream music but not videos.
Comes in handy because my couches tend to eat my remotes, the phone is always in my pocket
It looks like the general consensus is that bluetooth from the phone to the tv is worthless and wifi is way more useful.
If I helped you out in any way please thank me. Thanks.
I connected my phone to my google TV made by Sony. I can use it as a remote to control the TV but that's about it. I'm sure you could transfer files if you found some reason you needed to lol.

E4gt hooked to a smart tv,how to???

Does anyone know how to do this? The evo did it fine as there was a hdmi port. E4gt should do this. Should it not

lol yes.. can stream but if you want to mirror phone screen onto tv needs to use the mhl adapter to use hdmi.. i have the adapter but sometimes will use twonky media server on phone or another media server app and use the ps3 to stream through instead of a computer but my tv isnt smart ;-) you should b able to stream straight to your smart tv.. but only your media files unless he uses the adapter

Only downside is you can't charge while using it.

[Q] wired video output?

I'm hoping to find a way to connect my Epic to a TV or video monitor, but so far I haven't found any options. It doesn't seem to support MHL or video from the headphone jack, so are there any other options to get video output from the Epic 4G?
If it helps, I'm running CM9 RC1 with its stock kernel.

No, There is no TV out capabilies on the Epic 4G. You only have Allshare to beam it to a Samsung allshare capable TV.

Nope. There is no TV out drivers to hdmi or rca. Host mode will allow you to connect input devices like usb stick memory, jump drives, stuff like that.

if you get one of the android mini computers that plug into the TV's USB port and turn it into a smart TV, would you then be able to use allshare to push video out of your Epic to the TV? Or even any TV that you plugged the android usb computer into?

It has to specifically support Samsung's Allshare which I think is proprietary on Samsung smart TV's atm
Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
actually Allshare is just samsungs version of DLNA. you dont have to use allshare, there are other DLNA apps on the market, and they all connect together as long as you are on the same network. i have used my epic on a sharp aquos with allshare and it works just fine. i would imagine those mini androids with HDMI would work fine for this purpose.
edit: i just noticed he said he is on CM9. so he doesn't have Allshare anyways. but iMediaShare is one i use on cm9. the free version isn't as good as it used to be, you cant just take a picture and stream it to the TV like you could before, but the paid version lets you do that.

The most important thing for me is being able to mirror my screen on a TV, so I can play my emulators and other games on the TV, not just streaming video files.

Car USB

I'm thinking about getting this phone. 2 questions. I know there is an app that makes the external SD ums capable. I have a Kenwood stereo, and there is a Kenwood app that analyzes music and upon entering mass storage mode, connects the android like an iPhone and gives you direct control. Is that possible with the ums app? Also, I saw a video where a guy just hooked his phone up via USB, and then tapped s voice, and told the phone what to play, and it did via USB. How do you do this? Here is a link to video.

Did the mhl work for you? I ran a quick attempt and it wasn't seeing anything. MAYBE I needed to use a different cable and wall plug, I was using one that, it seems now, isn't supplying a lot of power.
Just wanting a confirmation that the mhl works.

You can do this in YouTube app. You need a TV with YouTube though I believe. Not sure how it works though, never felt the need to get it working for me.

mhl converter
Mhl works great. You just need to make sure if you are searching amazon or eBay or whatever you use to make sure it's the one for the s3 or note 2. The cable for the s2 is different for some reason. Allshare hub is ok but gets laggy on anything other than pics and videos you have on the phone already. Trying to stream Netflix from the phone through the hub doesn't work very well at all.
I use my xbox360 to stream stuff from my phone to my tv works flawlessly for music video and images. If you have any other device that supports DLNA that would work as well

I actually use that feature... pretty much go into your tv youtube app and under the sign in part theres something where you share your screen, pretty much go into that and take your tvs code and type it into your phones youtube app and a little button will appear for you when looking at videos on your phone similar to the one in gallery to share pics/vids...
Great for old movies or tv shows on youtube
Just use the mhl adapter. get one from ebay. cost like $10. This is the one I got and it works flawlessly:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/251194581683
Just plug it into the phone then plug in the ac adapter (it needs power) and connect the HDMI cable from adapter to tv and BOOM, a mini power computer. I have a bluetooth mouse and keyboard paired to the phone and it works great. The only thing it would make it perfect is if I can stream the optimum tv app. unfortunately the optimum tv app can detect if you are using an "external" display and it won't show the video on the tv. But you can stream watchespn, hbo go, max go and pretty much any other apps onto the big screen.
I tried to ask if anyone can hack the optimum app to allow it to be used with external display but no one replied.
No one has heard of the app mirrorop. Haven't tried on note yet. But on Asus Transformer Pad TF300T it mirrors your screen exactly but to a PC. (Which I had connected to my TV via HDMI) only downside is doesn't stream audio. Use some Bluetooth speakers. Works well
using mhl update
tv must be mhl compatable or the cable convert to hdmi n not just wires but some actual brain
second. get the 11 pin not the 5 pin mhl adapter or it wont work on note ii. [sgs2 mhl adapter wont work]

Yeah have been using the allshare dongle myself got it with the 50% disount off sammys website.... works perfect for me only problem it doesnt work on anything but stock/rooted rom .... there is a bounty in another thread but not looking to good so for now mhl or the dongle are the best choices out
I use iMediashare.

Hi, I bought a cable off of ebay (red) for $11.00 packaged for the SIII but works fine on my N2, and with my stock 2.0amp charger it stays charged, though is barely charges because of the power drain. But output of both the video and audio come through fine on my vizio tv.
Hope this helps.

For any of you guys who own a Roku media box. You can use the app from the Playstore: Juice for Roku. You just add the Juice channel to your Roku device, install the Android app...connect it to your Roku, then you can stream your Pics (individually or slideshow), and video's all wirelessly to your TV through your Roku.
I use ArkMC app for long time, it works well with my htc desire, you could try
