Hi:
This is my fist post. I have been using the Wildchild rom for almost 2 moths and It's fantastic. In recent days, I found two problems with the rom:
1) If you are in a call and press the return button, the telephone will not respond.
2) When playing music and the screen timeout comes, the audio will be noisy and bad.
Does anybody knows how to fix it? I cannot post in the original rom thread, so I someone can please, add my questions to tigger.
Thanks in advance.
You had to post it in rom thread. Or at least in Q&A. Please don't spam general section, this is not for questions and troubleshoting

Well the problem is that I tried to post it there, but I don't have enought privileges to post it. The rom thread conducted me to post in this forum. Please, help me to post it there if you can. It's not my intention to open new threads if there is one with the specialist.
Thanks for you answer.

WildChild comes "out of the box" with battery life in mind, so the CPU settings are not tweaked as high as they can be. For smooth response to phone and audio (especially when screen is off) I suggest CPU min/max of 600/768 Mhz and a governor of smoothassV2. The scheduler isn't as important: try noop or deadline and you'll be fine.

Back in ICS, there was a way to change the "plume intervals" with a hack - meaning that every time you press volume up (for example) it would increase less that on a stock Rom.
Is there a hack like this for JellyBean based Rom?
Reason I want it is that my "perfect" volume is in between the steps, meaning previous one is too quiet, next one is too loud.
It also seems that volume change intervals in JB roms are very non-uniform.. first it changes little by little, then a huge jump all of a sudden.

I searched, here but confused, please help.
thanks in advance for guidance and your valuable time.

Thanks very much to both of you respected members of xda-developers
For now I'm using CM10 alpha 2 from modpunk and I'm happy. Battery holds very nicely and it's so fast. Overall, not bad.

yeh, but Senior members ( Sukhjit321 and kantry123 ) advised me for CM9 Alpha 9, they know better about these ROMS and always guides us for Right thing.
May be you are not experiencing any problem because of your LIMITED USAGE, but the Seniors are always testing everything/features first, then they recommend the Stable ones. I have to respect them and their advise.
Thanks again to them.

Yeah, but I wrote you opinion about the ROM I use. I don't know what you have to have the knowledge to express their views on the ROM...
Actually it depends from user to user,
Some of us prefer sense ROMs cause of the functionality but sense ROMs cause some lag for me so I basically avoid them
CM7 was just never my choice coz of the ugly look...
CM9 and MIUIv4 are the best senseless roms i've tried but they too have some bugs like video recording and all.
CM10 has some bugs like battery drain, animation in some, and more.
My main point being If the ROM satisfy your needs and the bugs don't affect you, go for it. Everyone's needs are different for example: I rarely use GPS or video camera. And I'm so not dissatisfied with CM9. So everyone has different needs.
Just make sure you read the whole OP for known bugs and also I suggest you look towards some recent posts to find out if any user found something new about ROM.
As it goes for performance I may suggest some apps :
- RAM Manager set at Balanced and launcher locked in memory.
- SD Booster.
- Ad block
- ES Task manager: to disable startup items.

And yeah we are senior members coz' of our post count.. So you should not just blindly trust according to our post counts and research about ROM a little.

BEST ROM EVER
Great job
Bass
I want to notice that Rastomanchik already fixed bass bug in his latest builds as beta55 and beta56, so I if minto uses the latest builds of CM11 it has to be squashed, but in some of theese beta's there is a bug with mic
Just a question
Can you use the new realease of CM11 from jonas? By this way the performance of the rom would be awesome !
Great job to make alive the One V after 3 years
Change Recovery
you need to change your recovery to 2.8
FAQ
Great ROM bro!!!!!
How should I update it from 2.5.0 to 2.5.1?? Should I have to Wipe all the data?
I'm confused as I don't want to ruin my current 2.5.0 stability.
Please Help!!!!!
Audio and handsfee problems
Hello,
at first: thanks so much for this ROM. Works nice since some months. Its fast and battery saving.
I detected two problems, maybe bugs, maybe hardwareproblems:
1. The sound with headphones has no bass, can do in DSP what I want. Tried 2 headphones and adapter to my home stereo equipment. Tried Apollo and VLC Player. Tried bass enhancement, equlizer on DSP and VLC. No bass at all. It sounds like a cheap plastic speaker. Is this a problem of the soundchip in Primou? Or a bug in the Rom ? Or could be my device broken?
2. When I'm calling someone and switch to handsfee talking (speaker button in the telephone app) I can hear the other one, but he cant her me. When I switch off handsfree, then he cant hear me either. I have to recall him to fix this. Has anybody discovered this problem?
Thank you,

You actually don't need any app....go to settings menu....then Display....then LCD density....it is at 560 by default...simply click that and enter your number you want there .. stock is 640 ...hit ok and your device will soft reboot...I just changed mine to 640 and then back to 560...it works...
I want to change resolution to 1280x720. Is it possible?
This rom is awesome batery life is outstanding running it sinds yesterday with a full charge and its on 84% as i type this already addicted to it thanks devs
Could you please add theme engine. Other than that good rom
It has a theme engine! It's called RRO Layers, there's a link to the thread, it dosn't easy like applying a theme, but not so hard. There are some videos and gides and wth the new Layer Manager app it's very easy. I use it about two days (the RRO Theme Engine), and I can say it's better than the old theme engine!

Just give it a try, you won't regret it!

No, it already has a theme engine... RRO layers. If you want the CM12 theme engine flash Validus our other ROM that is CM based. This ROM will never have the cm theme engine as it is Slim based....not CM based....
Tesla High Voltage ROM for LG G3 d855 - In-call + speaker sound query
Hello,
I would appreciate if the developer of the Tesla High Voltage ROM would reply to my query. I am a big fan of and involved in work relating to Nikola Tesla so it was a nice surprise to find a ROM in his name. By the time anyone reads this I would have tried the custom ROM and hope it works for me.
My main reason for this post is simply to know whether the developer has or will be planning in making a tweak relating to the overall sound volume of the G3's main speaker but most importantly, the in-call speaker mic. I've read of so many complaints from users of modern phones regarding the in-call sound not being loud enough ( not hearing the caller clearly or too low). It seems only a small number of custom ROM developers have taken an interest in making this a priority.
Hoping to get a reply.
Many thanks

Thanks for letting me know. Am still waiting for my LG G3 to be delivered so I'll test it with Tesla ROM once I get it. I believe Validus don't have a ROM for the G3.

Just one question though, is there a way the wallpaper will not be scrollable on homescreen?

Just use ZenKernel MM (it's sysless so magikx + xposed works)
- and then use Kernel Settings app (like Auditor/EX) to select your preferred settings... The good thing is that everybody has different preferences for "performance" so like if you want ultimate battery life you may end up having a super black screen and totally restrict appsyncs and wakelocks... and.. basically you'll be stuck with the kernel's settings.. but this one will let you "play around" without long term harm or any need to re-flash
Then again using the ... I forgot exact name but something Russian ROM dude's own kernel is great for performance... and you can just manually change some battery saving options like sleep/brightness/etc..
The thing is... "batt performance" = too vague...
---------- Post added at 03:58 AM ---------- Previous post was at 03:56 AM ----------
Side note @crownpiyush - Literally all your questions are answered if you go to the Kernel list for ZF2... There are hardly a dozen or so kernels and each with a basic list of what it does... + it has stock kernel as well... so.... you know... don't be lazy dude

Non-techy people don't even know about XDA - you know enough to find this, then... okay - look I don't want to just be rude so look at it this way..
i saw your query.. my reaction was "this is simple is it really not written anywhere? that's odd"
So... I searched ZenFone 551ML
The XDA page for the specific device came up (same page your post is in)
On the very top it says Rom/Kernel - I went into Kernel
And just opening 3-4 tabs for the most popular ones... the first 2-4 introduction lines had everything you asked answered already.
Someone who doesn't know anything about this doesn't know what is a kernel - but if someone is trying to learn then with a site as hugely worked "by the people for the people" and so organized - it is expected to do the basic search.. read the first 2 lines.. if certain word is unclear google the term (eg what is cfw gov) ...
After that when you ask a question there is automatically a willingness to help because we see someone getting into the game. If everybody did what you did... then XDA would not exist.
You have answers because someone did the searching and got the result -> they helped someone else -> they learned something new and helped someone else.
Some very much from this industry some newcomers... If nobody wanted to learn more - then there would be nobody left to teach/learn from.
