Hey there,
i spend the last few days to change some colors with UOT Kitchen on my GN. I took the framework-res.apk out of the folder, make my changes on UOT Kitchen an wait for the file.
After 25 minutes i get them, put my GN in the cwm-recovery-mode, choose the zip-file an try to flash it. But everytime it stops with an error and the android-robot with the red triangle...
Can someone tell me what went wrong? Or works the UOT Kitchen not with the JB-Version?
Sorry for my terrible english...
thx

So, I set up my own kitchen based on the EasyPortOven and Bepes last WM6.1 Kitchen, added newer BuildOS and use it now with the Build 21215 SYS of xperia x1 with QVGA files and XIP of a Kaiser.
My problem is, that everything runs fine, until it comes to the point where it starts buildxip.
I just don't understand it.
Maybe somebody could have a look on it?

Solution for Error about RadioButton1...
Make sure you have a Create_ROM_for_Hermes.bat inside your 'Tools' Folder...
User Search menu (upper right) and look for Ervius Kitchen batch files... or
use ivan's or josh's kitchen tools...
OK, this is working now. Now Portxip.exe is crashing -.-
Tools Folder
Remove your tools folder and replace it with this one...
link
and Add this folder to your kitchen to... this folder is where the image of your New ROM will be created...link2
G'Reloc says I/O error 105 -.-
oh man this is annoying xD
thx for your help bro =)
I just don't get it, buildxip is crashing all the time...
I'll upload my kitchen here, maybe you could have a look on it?
try to replace your xip... or your OS.nb.payload
i've downloaded your kitchen and seems that there are too many problems ...
Try reading this first... especially the part wherein you need to study RAM allocation ...
Hello,
I'm feeling confident enough to build my own rom now.
I can make Diamond splash screens 'till the cows come home;
Where in the kitchen tools do you add your Final splash screen file to incorporate into a custom kitchen build?
Tools are not in the kitchen. They are on the forum, BUT you need to bother and search.
You can't incorporate the 1st splash screen into the kitchen. You can 2nd one. 1st one is a separate .nbh file. very easy to do - search. It's all on the forum.

First I must say that it look not to be true that you cannot add 1-st splash screen to the cooked rom as I have flashed several cooked roms and they had sifferent splash screens incorporated so there is a way to add own splash creen while cooking.
I'm spending 4-th hour now trying to find the answere but maybe some one knows how to do it.
search for duttys nbh tool you can use that 2 combine ur rom nbh and ur flash nbh into the one nbh file
Its possible within the HTC ROm Tool, isnt it?
There's an option for that in there, when you select OS, Radio..

Incorporating things into the rom and into the kitchen are 2 different things. So, you can't incorporate it into kitchen, but if you make an .os file with splash, it will be in the final ROM.
After all, my custom ROM does have one..
As to search:
http://www.google.com/custom?hl=en&...G=Search&cx=000825531964825142534:cqr2sjirilw
and then...

And that took me 2 minutes..

probably that is why I'm junor here ... thanks for info and clarifying this.
sumarising my research
I've tied NBHUtil to create rom including custom splash screen. It is a llitle inconvenient having to move one step back after kitchen finish creating ruu_signed.nbh but at least I now flash wit own splash screen.
For those who would like to try this way ....
I step creating splash.nb file using tools from the below:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=436105
(for the moement skipping the nb -> nbh conversion)
II step After cooking ruu_signed.nbh in eg Ervius Kitchen it is good to copy splash.nb from step I to temp file in the kitchen and run NBHUtil. Select the device OS -> os-new.nb, splash -> the splash .nb and click "Built NBH!" select target folder, name file ruu_signed and done we have new ROM including custom splash screen.
There is for sure easier way .... but this one works and is good enough for me
once again thanks to mancsoulja for showing me the way
If I undestand well, it needs to be incorporated to the nbh generated by ervius kitchen each time you generate the rom with the kitchen (eg to add a program)? There is not bat file that can automate the process?
Edit: Solved, simply I have to modify the bat file and add the sentences in bold style, assuming I leave the nb files in the tools directory (osidvalue is for polaris, please check yours in the nbhutil.xml file):
set OSIDVALUE=0x400
set OSIDVALUE2=0x600

I am trying to cook a theme that is in a CAB file into my ROM. I would like to make it the default theme.
Here is the theme I want to cook:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=615905
How do I add the theme to my ROM and make it default?
EDIT: Got the theme added, but how can I make it default?
Thanks,
~moonscapex
are you using ervius visual kitchen?
Yes, I am.
I used the flamerise folder and added my theme, so that works, but it doesnt set as default.
EDIT: Can I just rename my TSK and overwrite the Default Blue TSK?

you need to add Condor GT Black Edition to your config txt. What kitchen are you using
I'm using Erverius.
in your kitchen go to EXT/"Your device"/COMMON/packages/"which ever carrier you use"/files/config_operator.
You will then see something like TSK:\Windows\Flamerise.tsk "Or it may say something else"
erase Flamerise and put Condor GT Black Edition. so it should look like this:
TSK:\Windows\Condor GT Black Edition.tsk
Thats what I was looking for
Thanks

dude can you hook me up with the Flamerise theme files... i can not find them anywhere!! lol...... like seriously
Hi,
I'm absolutely new to cooking and I also want to cook that Condor black theme into my ROM.
I am using the Ervius kitchen as well (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=580429) and I don't seem to have that carrier-specific folder that fr3sh_t0_d3f writes about (EXT/"Your device"/COMMON/packages/"which ever carrier you use"/files/config_operator)
What I do have is this: EXT\Raphael\COMMON\Raphael_External_Packages
and there are seemingly all the apps in there....
Can any one help me? I know noobs are always supposed to search before asking but this post deals exactly with what I want and I'm nearly there....

It will probably be in your OEM folder, not the EXT folder.
okay, got the folder and added "TSK:\Windows\Condor_GT_Black_Edition.tsk" to the config.txt
Two problems left:
- I only got a CAB, can I use that too or can I make it into a TSK?
- Where to put the resulting TSK (or the CAB in the other case) ?
can be this done with osKitchen??? since i can't find the file what did said ??
Anyone who can help? I don't want to start a new thread for this....

I recently downloaded the kitchen to cook android roms. I have successfully cooked one but I want to change the initial setup wallpaper. Can someone please help me by telling me which file that png or jpg is in so I can go in and change it and recook the rom?
I searched through the rom and finally found it in the setupwizard.apk. I changed it out using 7zip and recooked the rom and it works flawless......:highfive:
