Alright, I know the point of a screen protector is that it takes scratches instead of the screen. But I bought a screen protector off ebay and it took 48 hours of normal usage for a scratch to appear on the screen protector.
While my screen is fine, the colour is skewed where the scratch on the protector is. So i'm going to have to replace that.
Any recommendations for a screen protector that won't scratch so easily and screw up colours fast?
Have you tried an invisibleShield? I like using them and have no complaints about the colours. Also, the sensitivity is nice.

You can pay a lot for a Zagg protector or get the same thing off eBay for like $10 with the same warranties. Hope this helps yeah out
I prefer Best Skins Ever. Same material as Zagg or InvisibleShield, less than half the price.

I got ghost armor at the mall a few months ago, this stuff is amazing... it hasn't peeled yet and if it does the replacement is free. I've even shown it off by scratching my screen with my keys and I have no scratches whatsoever.

I prefer Bodyguardz myself. All of the good things about the invisibleshield but without most of the bad points (sticky screen, bad orange peel effect, browning of edges etc)
And you get 2 in a pack too!
I don't know what it is about this screen protector but it's amazing stuff, I only wish I had got it sooner.

I know exactly what you're looking for. Depending on your phone model, look at either the Pocket PC Techs 'Write Shield' crystal, or 3M's Vikuiti screen protectors. Both are made of a plastic that resists scratches. I've tried sheets from Boxwave and Fellowes and like you, I found that whatever plastic they use doesn't last.
Have a look at my installation guide, too. There are links to the respective brands I suggest in the post.

Invisible shield works best for me . + their warranty is pretty good .
Invisible shield works the best.
Zagg makes invisibleshield. I have no idea who make that comment....
Anyways, I got my invisibleSHIELD today and installed it. There are some slight misformed area but some of them is said to go away in 2-3 days. We'll see. Their support has been HORRIBLE though.
Im looking for a antiglare screen / antifinger print screen protector for my thunderbolt. i dont like a crystal clear one's cause it attracts to much fingerprints and when im outside its really hard to see my phone.
Im deciding from these. can anyone help me pick one i dont know what to pick since i dont have experience with any of these screen protectors. (The ones i have experience with SUCK there for im not buying them again) i have bad luck picking screen protectors ^-^
the following screen protectors are from amazon, since im still new to xda i cant post links, so search em up
#1 Halo Screen Protector Film Clear Matte (Anti-Glare) for HTC Thunderbolt (3-Pack) - Premium Japanese Screen Protectors
by Halo Screen Protectors
#2 SGP HTC Thunderbolt Screen Protector Steinheil Ultra Series [Ultra Fine]
Whats better between those 2? feel free to recommend me other screen protectors that i dont know about (thats antiglare and antifingerprint)
I use the Steinheil protector. I came to the Thunderbolt from the iPhone and really missed the PowerSupport screen protectors. After trying about a half-dozen different ones I found the Steinheil to be the best equivalent, IMHO.
Thanks man, I heard many good things about that screen protector and i decided to order one !

I have nothing but good things to say about SGP's. Great choice.
Sent from Thor's hammer!
I hate my Invisi-Shield with the "orangepeel" texture. It also has a kind of tacky-feel to it. Avoid!
I bought my girlfriend a sonix (by Lenntex) screen protector 2-pack (clear and anti-glare) for her iPhone and they're great! The finish is really hard and super smooth. It feels just like the naked glass. I'm waiting for my Thunderbolt ones to deliver any day now.
Ive had bad experiences with screen protectors in the past with my galaxy nexus, ive had a XO Skins protector which had rainbow effect and orange peeling, a SGP Steinhel Flex but it had horrible orange peeling, which is your favorite screen protector? ive heard wonders about Zagg's HD Case Friendly.Wwhat do you think? Which one would you choose and why?

The first question you should be asking is whether you need a screen protector for this phone...HOX comes with gorilla glass which can resist scratches and other atrocities better than any screen protector in the market...so why spend money on such things..besides a screen protector makes the screen look even worse..

It may not prove the point that there're no scratches but atleast the damn thing is tough!

Look around in some of the previous screen protector threads. Many users have reported getting small scratches on the screen. Therefore I think a screen protector is essential. Screen protectors can degrade the quality a little, but clear type ones do not take that much away. I am a big fan of matte screen protectors (they are the worst in terms of screen quality degradation) but what good is a screen if its filled with finger prints and cant read under glare ? I personally prefer a legible clean screen over a sharper smudgy one. So quality is a highly subjective matter. Unfortunately I didn’t come across a wet install type matte screen protector yet, so I went with a clear type one. To my surprise it does quite well repelling fingerprints. Better than not having one.

Scratching and breaking are two different things. I'm sure the screen is pretty tough, but that doesnt mean its scratch proof.
@OP
Most regular (dry install) type screen protectors wont fit properly with the curved edges of One X, therefore some manufacturers (i.e: SGP) make them much smaller than the actual screen size; but the problem is then you can clearly see the edge of the protector. I’d recommend a wet install type instead, they usually go right to the edge and don’t cause bubbling. I am using this. Its pretty good for the price.

Gorilla glass is NOT scratch proof is scratch resistant, and it can be scratached: my motorola milestone , my inspire 4g had gorilla glass and trust they got scratched, even my galaxy s ii got some tiny scratches, and i have read tons of reports of the one x gettin micro scratches so id like an screen protector

Oh no, i had a protector smaller than the screen of my galaxy nexus and it had so much dirt on the borders, i will make sure to get one that covers the whole screen
Ive done a bit more reasearch, the ZAGG HD is sold ONLY through bestbuy , and the sgp protectors for the one x are only dry applications, not wet but what-s the difference between the flex and the oleophobic?
oleophobic resists the oil from your hands and is supposed to smudge less. You can get zagg HD from their web site cheaper than what you can buy them for at best buy. I ordered the Spigen slim case for mine and it came with an oleophobic screen protector. It was easy to apply but I happen to like SPG's screen protectors.
Which one covers the whole screen and is hardest to tell that it Its there. Also one that gives most protection

It's not the same, it's 'a little bit' more tacky & less smooth compared to BSE, im not sure if skinomi have fixed the speckled glue issue either.
The main difference is thickness, skinomi is thicker.

Using skinomi currently love the feel of screen protector. Just the ugly micro bubbles that are still present make me do not want to switch off the screen. (not visible when screen on)

How does it feel compared to glass?

Its rubbery feeling which seems to be more accurate then glass. Although I can't describe it fully here

Bestskinsever is by far the best I've ever seen or used. Easy to install, cheap and it looks freaking fantstic!
Had mine on for a few month and it looks just as good as day one. No rainbow, orange peel, microbubbles or anything.

Using protectors from this company for very long time. Always happy. And they are cheap

Ive bought both a BSE and a SGP screen protector. will apply the sgp firs since the case im going to use only shows the screen. so looks like it will be the best for that and the BSE for when i decide to go caseless
Hey guys,
I need a screen protector which covers the whole front (not the borders). My Nexus's screen broke and I installed a new screen and now I can't find which one did I use earlier. It was perfect.
Attaching a photo of the previous one.
Thanks
I just bought the official Verizon screen protectors last weekend. You get 3 for 12.99. Just don't get the glare proof ones as they distort the color.

How do they fit?
i really have never used any screen protectors for my samsung phones. I never have had any scratches whatsoever and I am pretty rough with my phone.
Wow, really? :/ Not at all? Even I don't want to apply a protector. The Beauty of the phone dies!
I just got my Galaxy Nexus off eBay and I bought ArmorSuit MilitaryShield - Samsung Galaxy Nexus Screen Protector Shield with Lifetime Replacements
$9.95 from Amazon.com
I bought one an ArmorSuit shield for my Nexus 7 and it is GREAT.
I posted a review on Amazon.com, basically stating:
FLAWLESS installation. No bubbles, no overhangs, no dust. No "orange peel" texture like you get on the other brand (rhymes with Bagg). Save Money and get this TOP QUALITY protector. When I showed my Nexus 7 to my friends, they couldn't even tell that it had a screen protector on, and this one on my Galaxy Nexus looks just as great!
If you follow the instructions, (it is a wet install- but super easy) and take your time, you should get similar results. I will never buy any other brand of screen protectors.
I'm still using the same XO Skins from last December. It' still holding up great but I'm curious to try out this no screen protector thing now and see what happens.
I'll probably keep the screen naked. I'm loving the feel of it. And anyway, the whole front glass of the phone is just for 16$. :/
OR I might just buy the armor suit shield
Ghost armor is what I've been using since my S. Pretty transparent and it's slightly oleophobic so any oils that build up wipe right off. Dust likes to cling to the edges though.
Guys I got this phone 2 days ago and bought a Vikuiti Clear Screen protector. The protector looks fine but is useless. The buttons on the bottom of the screen dont work if they are covererd with the protector.
Has anyone found a protector that works with this screen?
Hello,
I have a different opinion about screen protectors, in my opinion you should get a case for your One instead of screen protector because gorilla glass is really working well.
But if you still want to get screen protector, you should be able to find HTC's official protector in one of their retail sellers.

Does the official on cover the screen only? I'd like something that covers the entire front.

Try ScreenShield by skinzone.eu, Invis have too sticky surface and after half year turned yellow...
They also have skins for many devices not only for high end models
