I just got my Verizon SGS3 and noticed the white back plate is yellowish compared to my sprint one.

Ewwwww. I'd say try to return it as a defect but that probably wouldn't work.
I'll head back to the store tomorrow n see the other ones. Luckily ill be getting my white Game Boy case soon
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
The Verizon version is just all ****ed up ain't it?
Powered by the SGSIII
I would say so but with the Internet speeds and coverage I had to abandon my sprint gs3

Hey guys, so I got an amazing deal that i just can't pass up: int'l note plus $25 for my white tmo gs2. I just have some questions though.
Do you guys think that it is worth it. not the value (i kno its a great deal) btu i'm talking performance.
Will i get 4g or just edge?
Thanks for your help
You'll only get edge until T-Mobile refarms the 1900MHz band. There's a dev called bedwa who is working on unlocking the 1700MHz band. Yes, it has it but Samsung has it locked up. The phone has the same modem as the Galaxy Nexus which is pentaband.

I personally think the phone is a bit too big but not a bad upgrade. I would do it for only $25 but no edge.

I think he's getting 25 so he's coming up even more! I would sell it and get the gs2 again lol
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
Yep I'm getting the $25. I'd like to hear more about the band unlcok thing. Anyone have more info on that? The main thing I am excited for though is that it has like 5 ics roms
Sent from my SGH-T989 using Tapatalk
Wish I could. I would do it in a heart beat if I had that offer. I wish it was on T-Mobile.

If this works out, I'll most likely ditch the Galaxy Nexus. There's plenty of people who'll call foul for wanting to move over to an "inferior" device but I'd love more screen real estate with increased battery life.

I have both the t989 sgs2 and the international note on T-Mobile. You will most definitely get edge speeds. I suggest u switch to at&t or a prepaid carrier who uses at&t network such as straight talk or red pocket mobile

So lucky! I would switch to the nexus if it were on T-Mobile.. were unlucky.

Get an unlocked gsm nexus.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
If I dont like the note, then I will probably trade it in Craigslist for gnex plus cash. But the note has the exynos chip set at 1.4 ghz while the nexus is ti omap at 1.2 I have used the nexus and found it to be quite laggy and the screen did nit look that much bigger than the gs2 I currently have. Plus the note already has ics roms

Just picked it up and I have to say that I miss the gs2. I got the phone rooted with a from with some bugs so I guess that I will have to put it on stock adlnd then give the phone another chance. Love the screen though
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk
Theres not much of a difference between our phone and the Note other than the screen. Hardware stuff of course but still running the same stuff.

And 100% likely to get ICS way before the T989.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Way before of course
The only thing stopping me from getting the note is no 4G on tmobile. Once you're used to 4G, there's no used to going back to 56k aka edge

Great dev support, but the gps was pretty weak and the keyboard skipped on every stock rom which is just pitiful of Samsung to have never completely fixed.
S2 was good but they took out the audience sound processor and dedicated gps chip in the sprint version, otherwise was great. However battery life went way downhill after the move to ICS base. Also the vibrating camera module is like wtf?
Got my S3 today and it seems really solid hardware wise. I think Sammy finally got it all right this time around (fingers crossed). Only problem I've seen around here is cracked glass from 2" drop onto carpet (ok, exaggerated) so I hope that holds up for me. Also I notice the screen has a blue cast when viewed at an angle, and can appear slightly washed out with text on certain backgrounds.

I only hope I'm as happy with the sg3 as I was with my epic... I'd say I will be, loving this phone thus far!
The epic my first smart phone per say. Switched from Verizon on LG-1000 Voyager (quasi smart phone) to sprint and the epic, it was a good run but glad I'm here on the sg3 now!

S2 if you like to root and mod. Motorola locks up their devices tighter than a frogs ass, and 9 times out of 10 rooting them breaks something. Like original photon unlocking the bootloader came at the expense of 4g  If you're looking for an lte device you could go for the s3 or s3 mini, or gnote2 instead of the older s2. If you shop around amazon and bestbuy you can find the s3 for $49.99 with upgrade and $.01 for new accounts about once a week. Once you find the deal on amazon you can have best buy price match it for you and save on shipping and waiting

When they end of life a device they still usually replacements. When you return yours they will repair it and turn it back around as a replacement for the next person having issues. Kind of self sustaining that way.

32gb. They weren't in bad shape appearance wise. The first one had charging issues and the one I just got has the power button sunken in so far that it's hard to turn on and off. I think I'm just unlucky.

Lmao yup. Literally just got a 32gb replacement in. Has charging issues out of the box. Done dealing with them though. If I send this back I want to say I will be on my 7th nexus. 5 of which shipped faulty. No sh*t. Other two were my own fault but still...
Looking into the wireless charging mod:thumbup:
I had sent my original one for warranty work, and got slapped with $300 replacement fee because of "slight corrosion on USB/Headphone port from moisture"(exact words from the RMA department at Verizon), which then they deem it water damaged
I sent it in for a 3G radio issue, which they did confirm was a problem.
