Yes the one with the cpuprofile can help battery life. And it gets flashed in recovery.

About the CPUProfile means Profile that you can use on SetCPU? Sorry for my questions, The last time I did it when I have a HTC HD2 and now I'm starting to be addicted to this stuff again. it's complicated but fun!

It's not for setcpu it's just ondemand governor settings. It's a script that runs at boot and alters the governors settings. Saves on battery quite a bit.

Thanks smoke! Should we uninstall setcpu if we have it installed, then just flash this inrecovery? If I wanted to do that, which one should I flash from the two?

It's not suported anymore by the dev.

then read some threads and topics about kernels and the file systems here on xda, cuz flashing stuff you dont know what it is, is not a good plan :Ä
That does sound strange..... I recall a similar slowing after a few weeks of use. If you remove the lag fix via the app and reapply, you should see the speed return. Make sure you have a full battery, the app will only allow use if you have a certain battery percentage, can't remember how much though - it's been a while.

Blazer 4.1 Kernels

What kernels are people using when running Blazer 4.1? I'm using the FC24 modem as well.
Im using the stock one that came with it. EL29. Everything working so smooth, no need to change it.

Yeah I have no complaints, mine is running smooth as hell as well. Was just wondering if there are any kernels out there that are worth flashing.
I am running rogue 1.4.1 OC'd to 1400 and all is fast and stable as hell! Battery has been awesome too...

Rule of thumb for xda. If you are going to mention a kernel you like it is good etiquette to also provide a link to it.

Rogue UC'd with SetCPU profiles
For some reason the Gunslinger kernel just does NOT like my phone. Every time I have tried it my phone overheats and crashes. Oh well, others swear by it. Each phone is different.

I'd like to know the settings as well.
I use Calk's UV script from 3.0. SetCPU in screenshots.
Edit: don't know what happened there. Screens won't show.
Running 1200/200 conservative.
Undervolted using Calk's script from 3.0.
Profiles (in order of priority): Screen off=500/200, Battery <60%=800/200, Battery <80%=1000/200.
Governor: Sampling rate=35000, SDF=1, Up Threshold=85, Down Threshold=35

What's with the Governor settings? I'm new to setcpu and I'm curious.
Here's some info on governors:

If you do a Google search, you'll find some good explanations of each setting

The UV script is in /system/etc/init.d. You need the paid app to unlock all SetCPU settings. You'll find the app for free on XDA

Here's a link to the uv script: UV Script

Enable undervolting.

So I have finally got round to taking control of my Play. Unlocked my bootloader, rooted, applied DooMKernel v14 and now have Gin2JelllyBean rom.
I've already managed to squeeze a day more battery life thanks for SetCPU down clocking while the screen is off. Now id like to look at undervolting.
From what I read, there should be an undervolting option active in SetCPU but it's not there. I thought DooMKernel supported this, so firstly I just wanted to ask if there is anything I need to do to activate it or if might have gone wrong somewhere?
Thanks in advance.

I have SetCPU too and it doesn't let me change the voltages. I am using IncrediControl for changing them, and it works
OC/UV Beater2 v1.7, allows setting voltages in an init.d script, so there aren't any unnecessary services running on boot
Thanks for the suggestions guys I will check them out.
Still confused why I can't use SetCPU though.

Be careful u dervolting, can actually decrease battery life. Never set undervolts to run at boot.

H0tcakes has a script that you can install to the init. I would imagine that it would work the same on that kernel as well.

Just flash through cwm recovery or take 99gpuoc file and put it in intd files with rwxrwxrwx permissions and owner as root.

Its not going to make it overckockable thru an app. The script overclocks the GPU. I believe to 320mhz, which is the max for our GPU.

If you use a file manager and find init.d folder and the script is inside... It worked!
The script sets the frequencies on the GPU. In linux anything in the init.d folder gets executed upon startup.
BTW the path to the init.d is /etc/init.d

So 320 is the cap clock speed for the 220? I'm running CM10.2 Linaro on my Hercules, and it's CPU OC is 1.8-1.9ghz stable. There's no way to OC the GPU? Trying to play Deus Ex: The Fall and its capping at 14-17fps.

You can OC the GPU within the kernel's species parameters (or if you tweak the script yourself - dangerous to do though)
I use Wild kernel which has built-in GPU oc to 320MHz. Many other kernels have built in GPU OC as well; check for compatibility with your ROM
Yeah I have it set to 320 right now, was wondering if I could go higher?
