My son's device was briefly immersed in water. After thouroughly drying it over a few days (battery removed imediately) the device seems almost fully functional unfortunately, since wetting the device, he has managed to lose the installed gold card.
I have full fastboot functionality but, when trying to boot the device it remains on the htc screen :crying:
My pc recognises the device as a disk drive but is unable to display it under my pc. :crying:
The device is locked to the 3UK network and has cid H3G__001 but has 2.13.401.2 firmware installed by means of the now non-existant gold-card.
I am not used to the ways of the Wildfire S but have experience with the desire, sensation and one x so I am not quite a complete noob
A few questions:
1/ Is it possible to make another goldcard with the device in this state?
2/ Does anybody have a 3UK RUU available (preferably the latest one) as I have not been able to locate one anywhere?
Any advice or assistance would be very much appreciated.
p.s. I have not been able to unlock the bootloader at htc.dev.

Hi All
Replaced one of these and it's not responding properly, it is the type with the bubble at bottom that you slide up to unlock.
If i put 'pressure' on the screen it does respond somewhat.
It was a simple install and i am 99.9% sure all is connected well (have checked/re-checked)
I was unaware there were three versions !!!!
I have just looked at the old ribbon on the broken digi but there is no Rev no ?
I have also been into bootloader mode and reset the handset.
I have also tried this but get an error - It does go into weird mode though, reads memory card then -

Hello, need some help here.
I rooted my mums Wildfire S to get some extra internal memory. All was working except for widgets so stupidly I did a factory reset from privacy menu (my first root so putting it down to naivety) now the phone starts and I am able to go through the initial start-up steps like selecting provider, setting up wifi but then the phone gets stuck on the screen that says:
Loading...
it may take several minutes to complete, please wait
I had installed recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.8-marvel.img prior to rooting and have subsequently tried the recovery options power+Vol up, and the factory reset from the boot menu, have shown patience for several hours and no joy. But as the phone still sort of works I thought I would get some expert advice on how to fix before I break it any further

Hi folks, I have a WILDFIRE S & have rooted the device and unlocked it also. The only issue iam haveing is turning s-on to s-off, i have tryd several times now to make a gold card, i have gotten this far......
Gold card made, When going to HBoot it says wrong zip, then just hangs on the Jumping to DIAG file.
My HBoot reads as follows...

i have tryed tons of threads that recon they have done it etc etc. and followed the steps to the letter (even searching
for a diff site to get the reversed key required for making said goldcard).

well i have gold card made yet again from scratch, and have now tryed multiple diag files from diff places , only 2 do anything the rest just hang on Jumping to DIAG.
The ones that do actualy do something get to a grey screen that says Get SW Version ( pressing anything at this time does nothing ), then it says
Verify (something else but it was too quick)
then
Get OEMSBL time out!
Pls chk security flag
Press VOLDN to exit
so i press vol down, (have done this several times now with diff PG76DIAG.nbh from over the net (ie 4 share, filehost, mediafile, u guys also who post links for said file, alot dont work).

Vol -Dn =) DIAG so diag is selected and TP Calibration goes on , says all is ok, format goes ok , then i get

You'll need an XTC-Clip to get S-Off on the WFS. See this topic.

i believe that its is corrupt and i want to reinstall its android operating system.
as now i cant install apps on it so i have it rely on pc and hboot.

Look at the downgrade your hboot to 1.01.001 thread and follow its steps. It will fix your ROM and downgrade your hboot as well ( an issue when trying to run an ruu)

Hello, I've been searching the internet for 2 days to get some help with this, and although I learned some things about phones I didn't manage to figure out how to solve this issue.
What happened: I was given a phone (HTC Desire HD A9191) a couple of months ago, was using it casually as I never had a smartphone before and wasn't much interested in them. All was working just fine, until 2 days ago I turned the phone on and the digital keyboard was missing, wouldn't appear at all. Not knowing what to do, I did a reset to factory default settings. However after reboot the phone never loaded the OS anymore, it's stuck on HTC screen and no matter what I tried it can either stay at bootloader screen or get stuck in HTC logo screen. It would appear someone has already installed CWM 4.0.4.0 on this phone in the past, but did NOT root the phone, and reading around some forums I managed to figure out how to copy files to the SDcard, to possibly re-install the OS from scratch. Though all the links I find don't seem to be functioning anymore, let aside I don't know what ROM version I should use; then there's that radio file as well, which I don't know where to find or what it does.

USB debugging is OFF. Since it cannot load the OS anymore, I don't know how to possibly enable USB debugging remotely.
Could any super experts can help me find a compatible ROM, Radio, whatever needs to be installed anyway? And perhaps (optional) help me root the phone to have easier access in the future if something similar happens. If any more information is needed, let me know.
No one has the slightest clue?
