Anyone with the jelly bean Rom, could you do a video on browser performance ..
Is it smoother than before?

I cannot upload video but i can tell you that it is better than ever. It finally reached a point where it is as smooth as the samsung hardware accelerated browsers on galaxy sii and siii.

I was wondering if someone could help me. I really like using swipepad but it causes lag in the general feeling of any rom. Is there a memory setting or something i can do to keep the smooth feel of a rom while using swipepad?

No swipe pad. It's a nice little tool to quickly jump to any app. It's in the market.

Its typical I'm guessing... kind of like when you have a toast notification and it lags until it goes away... this might be suffering the same issue.

I'll give it a try but I'm not hopeful. Thanks.

Yea. Nothing really helped swipe pad. I have found that using aokp b35 with nova launcher and setting my my right soft key to open the app drawer gets rid of the need to use swipe pad

I cannot confirm this on Nexus 7.
I have a long time experience with SwipePad on my Gingerbread Samsung Galaxy W. I have buy full collection: https://play.google.com/store/apps/developer?id=Calcium+Ion
I can start apps on this phone without any delays, I have never seen toast notification "Starting App_Name" on it.
Now I have SwipePad installed on my shiny new Jelly Bean Nexus 7 too. Even here SwipePad usually responds immediately without any delay (I mean how long it take to start swiped app), but sometimes I get in the bottom third of the screen toast notification "Starting App_Name" with some delay, let say 1 or 2 second or so. Why is there this delay on Jelly Bean (4.1.2) and only sometime?
Just playing around with a leaked copy of S Voice and although the application itself is ho-hum, I really like the UI. I wouldn't mind my MMS looking the same way. Anyone agree?

Im not sure if this is the same for everyone but for my gnex none of the screen recorders (such as screen cast) work properly on the phone atvall . I was wondering if someone could tell me why that is or give me a different way of recording my screen.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Screencast states in info that it won't work with galaxy nexus. As to why..I don't know, maybe something to do with resolution or GPU...
Quick search gave me this:
Known Bugs/Issues: Tegra 2 devices: This is not really a bug, but an inherit problem with Tegra 2 devices. Screencast is built using NEON instruction set for the most part, and as such, requires a device that has NEON capability. Nvidia decided to not include NEON support in their Tegra 2 devices.
So I guess our GPU don't support NEON instruction sets.

Wow thank you very insightful and detailed. Do you have any advice on how I could record my own screen?

Get an MHL adapter and a HDMI recorder. They're not cheap though.

I have 2 play store nexuses that are stock rooted. They both received the OTA and now both are missing the camera.apk. Has anyone else encountered this? Any suggestions for a solution?

Camera is now part of gallery. There is no longer a separate apk.

Thanks. I had disabled the gallery as my wife and I use quickpic. Enabled it and back in business. Thank you much!!

Thanks! I was freaking out!
What do you mean the camera is missing? Like the app is missing? Because I do have the camera app on my home screen like always on my 4.1.1

I had the gallery disabled, so the camera app was not showing anywhere in the system.

Nope, all working fine with chrome here.
Swype'ed on my CM10 Galaxy Nexus
But you can download te video to your pc?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
I use chrome on my desktop which plays YouTube videos without problem.
If it's downloading and storing the video on your computer you want you need to use 3'rd party apps for that.
Swype'ed on my CM10 Galaxy Nexus
Yes that's it and I used it before but now they don't work

Well, maybe YouTube have found a way to block those apps.
