Hi,
I have recently converted from Sence based ROM to Vanilia based ROM (OpenDesire 4.0) and trying to find some alternative apps for the core features I use all the time on my phone. The main one I am looking for is an app which can select/copy and paste in most apps?
I have tried searching and googling and only seem to find this one which takes a screen shot and then OCR's but people say its very inaccreate. I am also only really looking for text not so much images.
Anyone got any suggestions?

Thanks for the link. It seems its the same one I noticed earlier which doesnt quite do what I want. Will keep doing some research and will let you know if I find one suitable for just text.

Will do.
Just sorting out a few other apps atm due to converting from sence based ROM's.
Search the market for an app called 'Copy Paste It'. It's not as good as the Sense copy paste but it works pretty well.

heheh no problem. Looks like atm its the only opton. Shame really.
The htc Sense "copy/past" make all the difference..I'm SO UPSET that ONLY htc SENSE can make that !! I was happy too with my cyanogen Rom until I discover that navigation without the copy/past is just ****..how the F**k they didnt think about that when they realized these roms to include it!! because of that im back to htc sense which is so far the best for rightnow, I know that the problem is related to the "browser" naked in android, and the htc one called WEBKIT 3.1 have it...why is it not possible to include then the WEBKIT browser in the other non sense roms then ????

This is brilliant news! I'm not a developer but I'm sure there will be plenty of people willing to jump in and port it to the Hero. Can't wait for some ROM's to start popping up.
My Personal Experience of this ROM
Camera does not work for sure
ROM is very smooth, boot time is much faster than Sense 2.1! Around 30 seconds for me.
Some small visual changes which are nice.
Facebook for HTC Sense works!
First boot is in chinese, if you can do the setup in chinese then go to Language and change to English. However this is American English, I'm sure somebody will port over UK English.
One little thing I'm missing is MENU to unlock lockscreen which is a little VillainROM thing, I'm sure they'll add that.
Apps just seem to.. open near enough instantly!
It has a WAP Browser LOL, removed that.
Wi-Fi doesn't work as mentioned above.
It has a goapk bootscreen and a GoMarket.
Has some new HTC apps: News,App Sharing, HTC Marketplace (?), Notes, Videos
It's good so far.

The wifi probably doesn't work because you need a matching kernel/wifi module. You device might not have the same wifi as the gratia. Try a cyanigenmod kernel/wifi module with it. Also if you can post the original rom for others to look at I'd be grateful.

Simtoolkit is very important for us here in the Philippines. And please fix ussd cause we have text/call promos that are easily accessible via ussd. There are a lot of bugs that we encountered on the previous P930 port like bluetooth headsets not functioning properly, the contacts bug (sim memory full, unable to copy contacts to/from sim, etc.), sensor, wifi and a lot of reboots. Hope this will all be fix on your rom. Im currently using ROM v163 by chuyennho184 and its very stable but there are errors with the ussd. Thanks and more power.

In my rom, I fixed ussd command. In now, I have CM9 ported from SU640 for LU6200.
Is this GB or ICS or JB?

And FYI this is not originally mine. I'm just modifying it so that it would be more useful to every one. I'm currently on a test mode to make sure everything is okay.
Kindly wait for about a week so that I could finalize my work. I'm on the middle of my exams right now that is why it takes me this long to post the ROM.
Patience is needed..
This is ICS 4.0.4 v163.
I was using the ROM of chuyennho but I am more satisfied with this ROM.
Hoping it will work with everybody.

I cannot promise you with that.. All you have to do is to calibrate your battery to make it last in a day of full work.....
I'm trying to figure out some tweaks but because this is a Stocked ROM from Bell, I am having hard time for this...
But everything will work fine here....

i fixed it on insert coins, i added missing files from the system dump

I had same issue on my ROM. Myself I just removed Verizon SSO apk an it causes zero issues an Verizon login has stopped is gone also.
Oh you know I'm waiting for adrenaline!

Yeah that's what I did in Adrenaline. Unfortunately, I wanted it working in this "stock" rom and thought dropping the odexed version of the apk back in would resolve and it didn't.
Do you still put easter eggs in your roms neo? Just curious. I remember you put a few in infection back when we had the rezound. Was fun finding them

It's also deodexed and Verizon login works just fine, maybe something in it will help you guys out...

Thanks. This base was rushed since I'm out of town for a week. I'm going to re-deodex the ruu and try again with the full deodex when I get back. The full deodex rom worked however had the same VZW sign in error at first boot.

I'm actually working on APM (or was rather). I'll finish it up when I get back. I'm porting lyapota's mod pack for vzw m9

That's fantastic. I'll give it a go sometime this week. I had a bit of an accident so my attention is somewhere else ATM. The Apps look a bit different from the S4 build, should be fun.
How do you like DU? Last time I gave it a try there were APN issues.

Oh and about the apps, I debloat builds but the one in the link has all the BlissPop apps cx if you'd like I could PM you a zip with the apps
And I missed DU tbh, haven't been on it since kit-kat. Still trying to port to this device again, just wanted to get bliss out of the way haha.

You got 2 vipers, are they different? I haven't used viper in a while, where did you get that one? (Haven't kept up with it).
Are all the apps in your screenshot in your build, or are those some user apps too? I only ask because that would save me some time setting one up for a friend (a noob friend who refuses to learn, lol). That looks similar to what he's asking for.

One is the regular viper & the other is the old viper (xHiFi), I only use it cause it plays in true 32-bit playback (Sorry audiophile here cx) & sorry the screenshot was after I removed the apps I don't want , but if you'd like I can make a flashable for you? For the apps & some debloating
