Is anyone pulling higher speeds then 700Kb a second on T-mobile's network? I am in Jacksonville, FL where apparently T-Mobile has recently upgraded the network to 42Mbps. I know that the G2 does not support that top speed, but I figure I should be getting better than 5Mbps when they are advertising 42Mbps.

Its all BS, look @ the G2x the highest anyone got was 12mbps and its a 21mbps device as tmo advertised it. And those are the speeds we should be getting on the G2, not even 12 we should be getting even 10mbps, and the highest I've gotten was 9 and was just once in tampa florida, in NY the highest was 8

You're getting better speeds than I am. I normally get around 2-3 or 4 Mbps here in socal. A few weeks ago I was getting speeds of 5-8 Mbps before they turned on the 42Mbps. And I'm on the new Tmo radio too.
Are you guys seriously complaining about something like this. Do you get on your internet service provider because they say you have 20mbs which I can almost guarantee you clock no where near that on a regular basis? The speeds advertised are all theoretical. Basically in the perfect conditions with no other traffic on the network you could attain the advertised speed. Our phones are actually not capable of the new speeds. They are only capable of the original hspa+ speeds that are advertised as 21mbs and lower. The new devices that they have for mifi and what not are the only ones that can use the new 42mbs. Go to any other carrier and you will find the same result. Its called marketing (4g anyone) and it will be around longer then you and I.

I see nothing wrong with this thread. I'm not even close to what the G2 should be capable of.
Average down for me here in Sac, CA is 3.9 Mbps.

To me, it's not complaining, but more observing. Especially when, my case I was getting better speeds a few weeks ago compared to now. I understand that more people on the network means more draw and therefore lower speeds. However, one would assume that if a carrier comes out with better service/speeds that older devices would benefit, even though they obviously aren't built for it. I think what's happening here is the same that's been going on, at least with T-Mobile, for the last few years: They come out with higher speeds and the new stuff can take advantage until they get a heavier load and then it suffers until they update the back-haul.
Besides, even though XDA is a technology forum site, it's the General and Q&A subforums like this that make it so people are allowed to have a conversation like this, of which I'm grateful. It could get pretty boring just being limited to just talking about ROMs.

if this thread is cause of LATELY my G2 Speeds just got LOW AS HEK,than I'm in them 'Complaints".
for some reason out of nowhere, my speeds have gotten super low...like EDGE speeds. I have 4g icon/H icon and it still running like its on edge.
Market apps downloads takes up to 30 minutes to finish and it only works good on wi-fi.
I've changed my ROMS,KERNELS, & Radios and still LOW SPEEDS.
This has bin goin' on for about..a week and a half now..
anyone else experiencing massive low speeds?

But I have no choice and have to keep using it cause I have one of those very old low price family plan that are no longer offered to new customer.

I'm getting 2mb/1.4mb in the Anaheim, CA area, close to disneyland (i'm on vacation) and I currently have about 5.5GBs transferred for the month.
I will update again when I get home in a few days. (Portland, OR) I have been getting about 9mb/5mb there on a regular basis.
And for those of you who are having really slow 4G speeds, you might be getting throttled by tmobile for too much data usage.
Can anyone explain this to me ? All I hear is LTE kills battery, so whats the point of LTE when T-mobile HSPA+ 42Mbps has pretty much the same speed as LTE without causing any battery drain. And why would you need 30Mbps anyway on a limited data plan ? My current Tmobile 3G (not 4G or HSPA+) pulls anywhere from 2.5-5.0 Mbps right now....on older HD2 and Nexus One
GSM version of Galaxy Nexus on T-Mobile does not go up to 41Mbps speeds. It can only go up to 21Mb (this is the reasoning why Galaxy S2 on T-Mobile went with Qualcomm's CPU instead of Samsung's Exynos to hit 41Mbps speeds), this is all speaking theoretically as well. Realistically, I haven't gotten to those speeds.
And people "need 30Mbps" on their phones simply because.... they can.
HSPA+ in its current implementation is definitely not as fast as Verizon's LTE, but as you said it surely is fast and it is more than enough for most people. You can definitely expect upwards of 10mbps down, which is great.
Its really a personal call. Some people are on Verizon because its the only carrier available consistently in their area, or they've been a long-time customer, or they're part of a family plan with others on Verizon.
If you're on T-mobile and happy with your service, you're definitely saving money staying with them. If you can buy it unlocked it is definitely a good choice. You're not missing out on anything by staying with T-Mo and the HSPA+ Galaxy Nexus.

My buddy has been testing his Nexus and Droid X on Verizon....Nexus got up to 27mbps and DroidX on 3G pulled only 500kbps. I mean I would rather get constant 2-3mbps then switchs between LTE 27m and CDMA 500k. I want to switch to Verizon because it will be the same price as Tmobile, but I am affraid that LTE will kill battery and CDMA is dirt slow. I am in Boston area by the way.
also some reviews say that LTE kills battery while car charging....this just scares me.....i can stream music + use Google navigation at the same time and have brightness at auto and i still dont charge my phone in car....my 1250 battery in HD2 lasts 12-14 hours on that heavy use.

Both of these things are very true.
I have the LTE nexus, and yes, LTE does do a number on the battery, and yes, it is ever so slightly thicker. however, I'm pulling 10 mb/s down in a very poor coverage area, and a reliable 40+ mb/s down when I get closer to the city. (I live on an away facing side of a hill a few miles outside of a town). Also, without 4g, atleast in my area, I can pull 1-2 mb/s down, but thats not as reliable. I like that speed, and I am willing to charge my phone twice in a day.
In all reality, you wont notice too much of a difference between 10-20 mb/s (HSPA+) and 30-50 mb/s (LTE in my area) on a phone. What you will notice is the difference between coverage and no coverage. Which again favors the Verizon model.
These are THEORETICAL max speeds you are talking about.
In reality the speeds you get will be no where close to the theoretical max speeds the technology can handle. Those speeds might be attainable if you are the only one on the network and are standing under a cell tower.
T-Mobile HSPA+ speeds in NYC are 5.4mbps down, and 1.6mbps up (tested on my friend's International Galaxy Nexus)
LTE max theoretical speed is 299.6 mbps. In reality the speeds I tested in NYC on my Verizon Galaxy Nexus are 26.79mbps down and 7.20mbps up.

Results will vary but I pull 1-1.5Mbps on 3g so I can live with that. Verizon is the only carrier at my house. T-Mobile doest have coverage in the rural area where I live. If I went with them I'd only have service at work and while running errands downtown.
I get 3g at home and LTE just a few miles away. Part of me wishes that I could use T-Mobile but its not practical where I live and do business.
One last thing, LTE reception is great in the basement of my workplace!

It is almost important to note that LTE is not only faster, but also capable of keeping the signal while you are moving rather fast. Like in cars and trains

I think you are answering your own question. TMo and AT&T will be slower but use less battery. In the end I'd just decide if you want to be on Verizon or want a GSM phone. Your call.

LTE does kill the battery, but there is an extended battery (Still, I'm not sure how well the battery life improves with the extended battery)
The speed is all about how you feel and what you need. I'd say if you get great LTE coverage in your area and where you're going to be and you'd be fine with the smaller battery life and such, go for the LTE model. HSPA+ speeds are proven to be slower than the LTE speeds (i've seen some users get up to 15-16 down and 12-13 UP while HSPA+ get's us 8-10 DOWN 5-9 UP) But what are you going to do with the 15 mb/s speed?
Since you are T-Mobile, I don't know if you're going to have to switch data plans to access the HSPA+ speeds as some people who are on AT&T (including me) had to do this as well.

lol...not that easy. I am on Tmo with contract (200 to break now and 100 in a month) I very much prefer GSM over Verizon, but my wife doesn't get any service at work. I am somewhat happy with Tmo, I get service everywhere but when I go places like skiing there is usually just 2g with GPRS or EDGE at best.....I have no idea about Verizon. My battery is just amazing.... I never use any chargers other then at night. Price for service will be the same at both, but I will have to make new 2 year contract at Verizon, I will also get Nexus for myself at $150 and Incredible for wife for free....so new phones is nice to get... my wife not really happy with current Nexus One and I would love to have GN. If I stay with Tmo.... paying 650+ for NS is pricy....

Well, lets weigh out the pros and cons.
VERIZON
Pros:
1) You only spend about 400 going with Verizon.
2) Your wife may get signal at work.
Cons:
1) Battery life using LTE (But you can always turn off LTE)
2) Your wife may not get signal at work. (You never know..)
TMO
Pros:
1) You stay with a company that you've known and have been with for a while.
2) You get to have the flexibility of staying on a GSM provider. Meaning you get the freedom of switching world phones whenever you need to and not having to get it activated and what not.
Cons:
1) You spend more money. (About 250 more just for the GN, and maybe more for your wife's new phone.
2) Your wife will still not get any signal at work.
I guess its really what makes your wife happy. ;D Kidding. I'd bet on Verizon, but only if having a weak battery and not having places to charge your phone aren't complete deal breakers.
Speed won't really be a BIG BIG factor because while LTE and HSPA realtime speeds do differ, the coverage area for both aren't super complete. In both cases, you'll be constrained to 3G/HSPA. But then again this has to do with your coverage area that we know nothing about.
going to Verizon with 2 new phones, Google Voice porting, and paying Tmobile cancelation fee should all be pretty much covered by selling my tmo phones. My wife doesnt really care if she gets service at work she is not picky. In reallity i guess its all about me wanting Nexus and better coverage, but cdma and lte is a big compromise for me.
i'll figure this out soon.....
Think of it this way,
You can get 2 Ferraris:
One with the original Ferrari engine.
And one with 4 cylinder engine in it.
You will do 30 mpg on your 4 cylinder engine Ferrari and will get to the same place as the other Ferrari goes, but just a "little bit" slower.
I made the switch to Verizon and not planing on swapping to a 4 cylinder engine any time soon.

Anything you can do on a home internet service.
Im going to be coming from Sprint to possibly verizon. I was wondering a few things
1. How is the service? I get BAD 3g speeds ( around .5mb ) and 4g is decent whenever I can get it ( 5mb or so ). Whats their average 3g and 4g speeds?
2. What about phones? Im coming from the Evo and its still considered a top contender with the new phones that are out there now. I dont want an iphone, Id like to stay android. Any phones out there that are pretty good? How is the nexus? Anything better? Anything worth waiting for?

My signal is great. I can pull about 2 mbps down with 3G and average 15-20 mbps down with 4G. Occasionally I can hit 30 mbps. I would recommend the Nexus if you want an all around great phone. The Razr Maxx would be a second choice if you absolutely need the extra battery life.

+1. The signal is always strong. I have about the same with 3g, 4g about 10-12 down. The customer service is amazing as well. I came from the HTC incredible to the GNex and I love this phone. It's got everything I need. Takes a toll on the battery but whatev.

With Verizon 3G DL's average .4 - .5mb, 4G depending on location, ranges between 1mb (rare) to 25mb in saturated areas (for me averaging 8-16mb). As far as phones with VZ, 1.) Galaxy Nexus. 2.) HTC Rezound 3.) Moto Razr 4.) LG Spectrum. All of which blow any Evo out of the water in both hardware and performance. Sprint sucks

Depends on your location. Had sprint since I was in 4th grade now in college. Switched to Verizon with my family and where we used to get not even 200kbps with sprint we get 27mb 4G in Tucson. On my sisters 3G iPhone she gets 2-3mb.
Just costs more but you do get what you pay for . Service. Thus far I have never lost service on Verizon's network but was always in fringe areas it seemed on Sprint.
Took a trip to Yuma to head to Mexico for some cheap work on replacing my clutch on truck had 3g all the way and streaming Sirius to my phone.
IMO Verizon is worth it.

Was a ten year sprint customer and left if 3 reasons.
Their 4g wimax is dead and in process of switching to Lte. So any phone you buy with wimax is already antiquated.
I sometimes would get good signal but the speeds sucked on both 3 and 4g(when you could find it) and my house happens to be in a spotty area when it shouldn't be.
every phone they have out now is just a rehashed evo.
I knew made the right change when i drove over bridge in my area (daily commute), where I would always drop calls, and not only did I not drop but my 4g was 2 bars. I pretty much get 4g everywhere now.
I suggest going to your local VZW store and running speed tests. I've seen "3G" pull down 80Kbps, and I've seen it pull down 1.4 megs. I've seen LTE range from 6 megs to 40 megs.
Device wise, if you want to tinker, get the GNex. Ignore all the blithering whining that completely over runs this place. There's nothing wrong with the device. If you don't want to tinker, I'd look at the Rezound and the Razr Maxx. My personal preferences:
1) GNex
2) Rezound
3) Razr Maxx
They're all really good devices. Play with them all and grab up the one you like the best.
One more thing... Expect your bill on vzw to be about twenty dollars more than sprint; worth it in my opinion.

Here is the break down. With sprint I have 2 phones ( so right off the bat, there is a 10$ per phone smartphone charge them tack on ; think 20 bucks here ) add a line for 9.99, 1800 mins ( free mobile to mobile, text, MMS, SMS ) unlimited data ( at SLOW ****ING speeds... )
I used a grand total ( between two phones ) around 80 mins. And that was mostly mobile to mobile. The landline minutes were like 30 mins.
With Verizon I would get 4gb per phone, FASTER speeds, 700 mins ( free verizon to verizon, but no others ) 30 bucks for unlimited sms mms etc etc.. all for around the same price. Im a data user mostly, so that is what pushes me around. I cannot do sprint anymore.
The Verizon service is excellent. I love the phone but it has 2 major issues. Data dropping and the loss of outbound audio bug, which is the worst bug I've ever experienced on a phone. Hopefully a software update will fix those issues.

3g is meh. 4g I get between 10-22. Just buy the galaxy nexus.

Will depend on Area. Don't expect Verizon's 3G to be drastically faster than that.

The theoretical max speeds for EVDO rev A are only 3.1mbps down / 800kbps up. And those aren't real world. Expect the low 2mbps range at most.
CDMA carriers have atrocious 3G speeds compared to GSM carriers. UMTS beats EVDO easily, HSPA even more-so.
This is why you're seeing Verizon push LTE so hard, because it gives them the speed advantage again. It also offers them simultaneous voice + data, and the eventual move to VoLTE.
Honestly, I'd personally rather have 8mbps all the time on HSPA+ than 1.5mbps sometimes and 20mbps other times.

I don't even think 3G supports those speeds. In the few weeks I have been with Verizon I have seen in bad area's with low signal hit around 200-500kbs. In these area's Sprint would be around 30kbs, lol. In good area's where Sprint would get .500kbs-.700kbs I pull about 1.5 - 2mbs on Verizon. I do get 4G all over with Verizon as well as Sprint would be in and out all over the place...
It was great to be at the malls food court tonight and play a HD Youtube video of Yo Gabba Gabba for my son to keep him busy. Verizon's 4G in most places is faster then my home internet.
As far as the phone, the GN is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better then the EVO. I have owned the EVO, EVO 3D and the Epic 4G Touch. The only phone in the same league is the Epic 4G Touch but the GN just has cooler things going for it that make me not miss my E4GT.
As far as dropped data goes, it looks like more of a bad batch of phones. My first GN would drop 4G constantly. I got a replacement and this one never drops data. Keeps 4G consistently. I also haven't had a problem with calls as others have mentioned.
I do not think any other phone on Verizon offers what the GN does but other devices I would would fall right below in line would be the Rezound and Razr Maxx.
For the GN, make sure to buy the extended battery as you will need it. Verizon online has it on sale for $24.99 and it barely makes the device and larger then stock. I would aslo suggest ordering the phone from Amazon as they sell it for $99 and their customer service rocks!
Ahh okay so AT&T hs faster speeds with the HSPA versus EVDO cdma 3g? Then its a no brainer to go with AT&T if I want faster speeds..

The theoretical max speeds for EVDO rev A are only 3.1mbps down / 800kbps up. And those aren't real world. Expect the low 2mbps range.
CDMA carriers have atrocious 3G speeds compared to GSM carriers. UMTS beats EVDO easily, HSPA even more-so.
This is why you're seeing Verizon push LTE so hard, because it gives them the speed advantage again. It also offers them simultaneous voice + data, and the eventual move to VoLTE.

That's true. CDMA 3g technology speeds is considerably slower in relation to 3g speeds on a GSM network...... However, CDMA Technology does provide a more stable and reliable network with far fewer dropped calls. That is one of the reasons why Verizon is consistently rated #1 in the US year after year. In the past, it was a trade off (slower data for better reliability). Today, the fact that Verizon has the only real 4G LTE network infrastructure makes the decision now a no-brainer.

Hi all, I have a 2 year contract with Sprint, but I just cant take it anymore, I am planning on cancelling my contract and sign with another company, but I am not sure which one is the best (or less bad) for me in NYC.
Can anyone recommend one with good reception and real data (not the 30kbps 3G sprint has)

In NYC i get 2mbps on where ever the subway is above ground
1.5mbls when ever I'm outside
1mbps ish in building
All on 3g
But i would go use Verizon

I get 2.5 mbps in NYC but that is at 3 am. other wise i get between 1-2 mbps. I am also fed up. TMO has a new unlimited no throttle for about 80 per month..My co-worker speed on tmo is 10-14 mbps....
I am starting to think that my phone is broken, because on cloudy days I dont get reception inside buidings, I serious, I am having a bad experience with sprint

Been hearing that we should be getting lte soon in NYC, but even then that is probably gonna be spotty at best...I had T-Mobile for a long time and never had any issues speed wise, and its fairly cheap, do some research on their new unlimited plan if you can't wait.

Isn't slightly over 2mbps the max for 3G speeds? If you're getting consistently over 1, I wouldn't complain. There are plenty of people elsewhere getting a fraction of that...like 10% of that.
I'd be thrilled with consistent 1-1.5mbps 3G speeds. I'm around Chicago, so LTE is in a few places which is nice, but I'm excited about when they finally upgrade the backhaul for 3G so the speeds will be better.
As for the OP, I would also try changing modems as well, see if some of them work better. Check with other NYC people and see what they're using. Modem can have a HUGE impact on speeds.

Usually here that from sprint users. Some seem to conform. Others like me who tried sprint realize that's not the 3G full potential.
So I rather pay less for tmobile And get awesome speeds. IMHO

Having tried Att and Sprint....I got pretty $hitty coverage with both and this was living in the Bay Area.
For my previouscontract, I selected ATT based on reading the online reviews about them having absolute the fastest service. What the reviews didnt mention was that I couldnt get ATT service 10% of the time which got annoying real fast.
When it works...ATT and Sprint work great....but the 10% of the time you don't get connection, you'll wish you went with Verizon. They might be a tad slower based on the bandwidth test results online...but at least the coverage is more consistent
I will try changing modems, and see if I can get a better reception, thanks.

I don't mean Sprint 3G, I mean the technology limitations themselves. Even if I hop onto Verizon's network with a 3G PRL, I don't ever remember seeing anything over 2mpbs. I have plenty of friends and co-workers who have Verizon and I've never seen anything over that on any of their phones either.
Is it more of a CDMA/GSM 3G thing? Is GSM 3G faster than what you could get on a CDMA network?

Gsm carriers use a backhauled network capable of much faster speeds ....at least on speedtests
Sprint is implementing backhaul tech over the next year or so.
On 3g (hspa+) I have seen as much as 12mbps down but average 3-5 . This is on our att phones.
Funny thing is though side by side we did some comparisons last year and web pages actually loaded slower on attempt s2 vs sprint s2 .. we never really found an explanation.

Have you considered forcing the phone to roam and having Sprint cancel your contract due to that? They shouldn't charge a ETF for that either.

Great way to get out of this miserable non existing service.. In NYC I can get between 1-3 mbps, this is acceptable to me, however where I live sprint is unusable 12kb D/L up does not exist. I called to complain and their attitude was pay the 350 ETF and you can leave.....Well I'm leaving w/o paying this fee..Thank you Roam Control....
Put a post on the marketplace offering to let another user assume responsibility for the contract. I know i would have considered a cheap s3 that way earlier

Sprint is actually getting better. With the softbank deal, Sprint controls a majority of the lte footprint. They are also getting an $8 billion cash infusion that will help them finish building out their lte footprint faster and at a higher quality. I know a few people that work for Sprint corporate. They have big plans and are actually executing those plans

I'm near Baltimore and over the past 11 years have had Verizon, ATT, T-mo, and Sprint. Each provider had pros and cons. I eventually stuck with Sprint (6 years now). They are the most reliable and ever present. Not the fastest but the only time I've been without service is in the Shenandoah mountains south of us where there is no service coverage by anyone. Sprint has addressed every problem I've ever had as long as I was patient with the rep. Oh wait I was patient with the reps from every provider and they bent over backwards to help me. A Sprint rep have my wife an iPhone for $25 during her last upgrade. We presented then with a problem on our bill and they hooked us up with the phone and fixed the bill.
I don't think any service provider is going to be perfect in all situations. I myself would pick reliable over fastest speed.
Just my opinion but stick it out things are changing with Sprint.

Anyone saw similar issue?

Each tower is different, also on TMo, it will say 4g, when it is on 3g.

I have found that no matter if I get 1 bar or 4 bars that my upload and download are pretty much the same..? I get about 5mbps down in an HSPA+ area but our area is not the best...

check out Settings->About Device->Status->Mobile network type
I'm in a "4G" area but I almost always see UMTS:3 there. I get 3-5 Mbps. Sometimes I see hspda:15, and I have seen 17Mbps.
My guess is you're on UMTS.
I'm sure it's all area driven. I'm considering switching to TMobile with this Note because the savings are incredible, but the coverage and speed compared to Verizon are absurd no matter where I go. Very disappointing.

Depends where you live. I live in metropolitan CA and WA, so... 25mbps over 4G for me
You get what you pay for. In any case, you can always go pre-paid or month to month, just no subsidies.

I have been in similar situations before. I get 4g full bar but less than 300kpbs near a local shopping plaza. Less than 1/8 mile away I get 12mbps speeds. Go figure. I was testing out on both my Galaxy S2 and Galaxy S3 same time so it is definitely not a phone problem.
I hate to say it, but this phone's speeds just aren't acceptable to me after using LTE. Sounds like a whiny sort of complaint, but spending this much on a superphone..I did about a billion speedtests around eastern MI and it was rare to catch a good 4G signal like they demoed in the store. They also seem to have issues with their signal penetrating buildings. I love the phone, and would love to get away from Verizon and maybe use the new Nexus device too but they aren't there yet for me.

I have a fine "4G" signal in Western Michigan but I never get over 6mbps down and 2mbps up with pretty terrible pings.... Decent coverage though...

I'd think here it would be at least as stable. But even at best I got 7 down. For comparison in a old wood frame house downstairs I'd get 22 on Verizon where the Note pulls 2g. Maddening as the more I see what they do with their phones the less I want to stay with them.

I hear ya! I get 50mbps down and 15-20mbps up on my Verizon S3 in a brick building.... I live right by the tower though... I have no problem with 5mbps down as long as it is consistent but it usually is not...

A soft reset fixed my similar problem. With the phone on, take battery out and sim and then replace sim and battery back into phone. Worked for me..!

Last night was averaging 29mbps and highest was 31.59mbps in the burbs of Chicago. Yet when I am in Downtown Chicago which supposedly has 42mbps, I only get 5-8mbps.
I travel all over the east coast for work, and know T-Mobiles network inside and out. I travel to small cities as much as big cities, so being able to connect to a network is important. If I were new to T-Mobile, and the Note 2 was my first phone, I'd think T-mobiles network sucked. I have 2 lines, a Sensation I use to mainly to tether with (10gb plan), and my main line the Galaxy Note 2 (unlimited 4g plan). I keep getting a message saying, "not connected to network" in areas where I should definitely be on the edge network, or roaming. The Sensation will be connected on a network when the Note will give the not connected message. My overall speeds in 4g areas are better with the Note than the Sensation, but not in secluded areas.
When the Sensation first came out, it wasn't connecting to T-Mobiles network correctly, then they sent out an update that fixed the problems. My first couple of weeks with the Sensation were hell because of that. Now I'm dealing with it again with the Note 2. I'm hoping that they fixed the data issues in the first ota update, which I hope happens soon.
Here are some speeds I've gotten in the past few days...
Dothan Al - 2.03 mbps
Jacksonville FL suburbs - 17.69
Harrisburg PA - 5.45
Chattanooga TN - 2.31
us231 on FL/AL border - .88
Atlanta 14.81
Jacksonville and Charlotte has better speeds than Philly. I've yet to find a place with over 20mbps

sounds like ur on a $50 dollar or cheaper prepaid plan. those only come with edge support (even tho it will say 4g). upgrade to a 60 or 70
Las Vegas/Henderson NV area has great speeds. My highest was over 28Mbps and average is between 18-20.

Yeah i live in fort meyer and my coverage is pretty damn good...
My area is rated good to excellent according to T-Mobile, but that obviously is subjective. The step back from LTE just isn't doable for me on a premium device. I'm glad I learned that while i had time to back out. I understand better what a huge sacrifice of tech it is on the Nexus phone now. But I envy those it doesn't impact obviously.
It could always be worse op. I'm currently with sprint but will be switching to tmo in a little while so I've been lurking the forums. I have the nexus, a 4g lte phone and I pay for unlimited data, yet I only average 200kbps on 3g, and Saint Louis will be lucky to see sprint lte by the end of 2013.
