Well, you know - at the end it is your decision.
But - just for your information - I came from DHD ( let`s say a "brother"of Incredible S) and I am very satisfy from my new One X.
Of course there are some disadvantages - eg. locked system end such, but I believe that sooner or latter we will have fully unlocked device and we will use it as we want.
So, in summary - my advice is: GO FOR IT!
Regards.
When i bought my One X I thought it was the best phone in the market but now I would say I'd rather go with Nexus 4

Just buy it and install Android Revolution HD rom - the most popular rom for HTC ONE X. Link here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1562603

Hi there, I think you should keep your incredible s and your hard earned cash. Buying a new phone will mot make you a better person or make you any happier.
You can't help it though....your gonna get one!
Now I would prefer nexus 4, because it is little bit better and much cheaper... Google kills with price

Ya you should buy it.. totally worth it and got some great looking roms.. I'm using ARHD and it rocks \\m//. Lots of custom kernel and mods.
Probably if you want a One X you should get a One X+ at this time.

You emailed Optus?? Stupid pricks. Lol. I really hope it comes very soon.... Note 2 comes with 4.1.1 already installed.... Older devices should get it first!!!

Why do you think that happend?
Nothing about this on HTC Website.
As far as I remember, HTC said, that the HOV is not performant enough for 4.1

Ok. Then maybe it will come later.
By now, there is no update via OTA available.
Which customer service center your friend contacted? and if update is coming soon, then also i don't want to downgrade my hov from 4.2.2 to 4.1.1

As of now we have no official Android 4.1.1 update. We were abandoned at ICS. If we were to ever get the update, it would be Sense 4.+ lite, which is the same as what the Desire X has.
HTC officially said that devices with 512mb ram won't be updated to jellybean. So it must be a fake rumor
Nope it's impossible
