Getting back to stock

Hey all. I have followed the steps in the Development forum but one thing I have a problem with is the RUU file. The link for the file in the Development forum is a broken link. I have found a few by Googling but everytime I run the update via hboot it says Main Version is Older. Does anyone have a link for an RUU? I do remember the last time I sent my phone in the RUU was 169MB and it worked fine but I did not keep it. The ones I find now are 139MB and that is when I get the error. Can anyone help me out?

It is always going to give that error because an ruu wont let you downgrade. That guy was verry vauge in his instructions and provided no proof, also he was already s-off. I dont think he knows what he did. It is comon knowledge that an ruu will not let you downgrade.

[Q] RUU Not Working & HTC Devs Bootloader Unlock Not Working.

My phone will not update from any RUU & HTC Devs Unlock Bootloader also does not work.
I loaded a custom rom about a week ago and it locked my bootloader. Now I cannot do anything. My CWM Recovery has gone too. So I'm stuck.
I have managed somehow to load an old rom:
RUU_Marvel_HTC_Europe_1.33.401.2_Radio_47.10.35.3029H_7.46.35.08_release_185724_signed.
This is the only way I got my phone working again.
I have tried other Stock Roms more current via RUU, no luck.
I have tried other Stock Roms more current via Bootloader renaming to PG76IMG, no luck.
Therefore I cannot even update to current anything and what makes it worse is that CWM Recovery has gone. I found this great for Backing Up my phone and Restoring it after trying out Custom Roms.
Anyway, if any one can help me in any way possible and/or point me in the right direction, I would be most greatful.

At the moment, I cannot change these because of what I've mentioned in my original post.

Make a goldcard (search on google) and the you will be able to install any ruu with a software number higher than yours.

I cannot create a Goldcard.
I've searched and tried some methods and also looked at some videos too.
I just cannot get the methods to work for me.
I've been trying for a long time to create a Goldcard, about a six months. I get so frustrated I give up.
Can you suggest a particular method that you know works?.

Could you post the method you used and where you get an error?

Step 3 Get CID. I chose MMC0, MMC1 and MMC2. No joy.
Unlockr Method.
Cannot get the CID code to reverse. It just doesn't want to know.

There's an app on the market called goldcard helper. Try that.

Thank you.
Tried it and managed to create the Goldcard.
I placed the Goldcard in my phone, tried to update the rom via RUU 2.13.401.2 and went upto 19% complete and then I received an ERROR 171 failed connection.
Basically I'm back to square one again.
I just do not know what else to try.
I am still searching for solutions but with no luck.

You used the goldcard.img file with the simple goldcard tool right ?
Open simple goldcard tool on your computer, skip the steps which are for the cid, click load goldcard img, navigate to the downloaded img, then click patch mmc, (i dont remember the exact process). Then your goldcard is ready.

I've done all that already and got the message "SD Card is now a Goldcard" or something like that.
As I said, back to square one.

There's a tutorial somewhere for that error in the general section. Search for it.

Does anyone have any other ideas, please.
I'm getting desperate trying to find a solution.

I know it's been a few months now but I still have the same issue.
Unfortunately no one has really replied with the same or similar issue.
If anyone out there has any other ideas, please let me know. I would love to update my phone.

You'd need to find the original RUU for whatever CID your phone is and flash that onto the handset and then relock it.
There's a thread around here somewhere, try the search bar

I'm actually curious on this too, mainly for the sake of getting the OTA update and making sure it updates everything that fastboot flashing cannot, such as the HBOOT.
So it's not possible to simply install a stock ROM and just reflash the original recovery to have the OTA install?

direct from the source. 2.2 RUU for ATT USA
just download, connect your phone to your computer with a USB cord, set it to "debugging mode" and "charge only" and run the .exe file
now the whole CID re-locking bootloader stuff i have no clue on bc i didn't ever unlock the loader.

Hi! i am also having problems with my HOX im running the Cyanogenmod10 Endeavoru with Android 4.2.1 on my one X and it has caused me nothing but trouble. i tried to do the RUU thing and flash everything back to stock but i keep getting the ERROR 171 USB Connection Error. and i tried to do some research here more on the forums and i got confused if i can flash back to stock rom with 4.2.1 or not? because i saw some threads saying that it was very impossible and i don't want to go to the Service Centers to void my warranty and such. Can someone please help me on this please? i really want to get everything working back on my HOX and get the OTA Jellybean.

[Q] problem with root

I have a problem and need some help please.
i tried to change rom in my device and made this steps:
unlock the phone with HTCDEV and then flash the viper ROM, after that my phone dosn't load and stock on htc logo.
after that i realize that i made a mistake because my phone is unlock but still s-on.
i searched for guides and posts and still dont now what to do...
need some help guys... tnx.

Need help finding Telstra Ruu HTC One M9

Hi all, long time follower of XDA but first time poster.....I have tried everywhere and everything i can think of, even talking to Telstra and i cannot find the stock Ruu i need to flash my phone. Its stuck on bootloop, bootloader locked and s-on and i believe that i need to get this Ruu file and flash it to be able to restore the phone.​OJAIMG_HIMA_UHL_N70_SENSE80_MR_Telstra_WWE_4.30.841.1_Radio_01.01_U114401011_117.00.61117G_2_F_release_504913_combined_signed_2_4.zip​Can anyone help at all please or guide me in the right direction as to getting this phone working again please?​
