[Q] How to send MMS in HTC One V (cant activate) - HTC One V

Guys I need your help, AGAIN
I want to send pictures to my friends, when I am trying to send pictures to them, it show the it is send, the mobile data of mine is turn on and also the receiver's mms is activated. But they dont receive any MMS from me.
My Carrier said that HTC One V is not compatible.
Is that mean that it is automatically enable?

not receiving mms via T-Mobile

Hi all,
Been loving the Desire so far but this evening I got an mms from a friend, presumably showing me his own new Desire, and while the messaging app shows an unread message waiting it doesn't seem to want to download it.
The picture messaging settings seem accurate in the network settings so I'm at a loss as to what's up. This is all via T-Mobile, as per the subject, and everything configured itself when I put the sim in.
Any ideas?
I'm on t-mobile and receive and send mms mostly okay but there have been occasions where my mms wouldn't send at all. tried a different picture and it worked. I've had problems with mms and t-mobile on my iPhone before I got my Desire so I think it's a problem with t-mobile not the Desire?

You need to enable mms for you account, they are not included in the contract and thus you need to activate them online or by contacting them if it doesn't activate when you receive or send an mms.
All good suggestions, thanks.
I checked my account online and it's set to allow picture messages. I also just sent a picture to a friend, which arrived fine. I did notice that it disconnected from the net both before and after sending, so I'm thinking it's using different settings to send them.
Under Settings/Wireless & Networks/Mobile Networks/Access Point Names it does actually show two connections. One called T-Mobile Internet and one called Picture Message.
They're both very similar, except the T-Mobile Internet has no username/password set and no MMS server details. Also the APN type is set to "default" and "mms" respectively. Wondering if I should try combining the two...
Fake Edit: I just asked the same friend to send me a message back and this time it worked. Guess I just need to keep trying every once in a while to see if it happens again.
T-Mobile accounts generally are enabled for MMS to begin with, but to finalise the settings and actually activate it, you have to SEND an MMS. This activates the service.
Once you have done that, you can then normally receive.
if you hadn't sent an MMS before this, that is probably why.
Yeah that could be it, too; although I'm sure I'd sent MMS messages on my Touch HD before (same SIM). Ah well, it seems to be working for now at least! Thanks again all.
If you're using Handcent for sms / mms, that might also cause your issues...

T-Mobile US MMS issue...

Hey guys who has T-Mobile US in your HTC Desire.Have you noticed that an incoming MMS message has really small picture or it looks really stretched out...When you send a MMS message with a picture to recipient he/she receives it with normal size and quality...in this case everything fine, but when you receive MMS with a picture inside it looks terrible.I remember I had same problem in my HTC HD,but I've found a solution and everything was good (few changes in the register fixes the problem). It seems like T-Mobile US doesn't recognize HTC Desire in its base and it compresses a picture to minimum size and quality. So,maybe we can change some system config files which responsible for MMS in HTC Desire. For example, write Nexus One instead HTC Desire and probably everything will be fine...
I hope somebody could help...

no one with the same issue? help anybody?
i need this settings too

Picture messaging.

Ok. So on my old phone (lg xenon) to get picture messages I didn't need data it would just receive it for me. But on my tilt 2 if I have my no data cab on where it doesn't let my data connection come on, it won't receive them. Any answers?
Enable data.
I know but do I have to?
Yes
I have ATT on a Tmobile Touch Pro2 just so i dont have to pay for data and if i want to send an MMS i need to goto the Disable Data App and toggle the MediaNET connection in order to send my MMS
So what about the thing where you're in the all gray inbox, and you click on the mms, and it sends you to blue and green inbox thing. Because you have to open it from there?
???
Sorry I have no idea what you are talking about. Maybe if u included a screenshot me or someone else would understand it a little better
Well there is like two different inbox layouts and one of them doesn't let you open the mms so it send you to the other layout

Dont receive text messages...phone or network problem?

Someone will send me a text, i dont receive it for hours unless I receive a call or text myself to kickstart the messaging process.
HTC One X on Giffgaff
Network or phone to blame?

Your APN is right, and maybe you have an issue with your carrier.
You could try this:
Open the hangouts app, go to the settings-> SMS> Access Point names, and then pick the right one over there, and try to send MMS to yourself.
And LTE is 4G.
