So i am having a problem with my internal storage. These numbers aren't adding up and I am being told I am low on storage. Is there anyway to fix this without doing a reset? ES file explorer doesn't seem to enforce that I am low on space so i can't see the problem.

Before it completes loading, it looks like this, so the bar jumps.
Same for me.
Removing almost everything does not solve the "Internal storage is full, please delete some files." bug.
I still cannot
dowload from the Play Store
update anything
take any photo
etc
I tryed to empty every app cache but it was useless.
Try wiping your dalvik
And what ROM are you on, ICS ?
sent from your future.
If you have GPS enabled, s0ome of us have a bug where the AGPS data keeps updating continually which fills the memory. You need to go to data/gps and clear out that folder if this is your issue. You'll see a ton of .txt files there, they can be deleted without worry. I leave my GPS disabled due to this and only enable it when needed.
Thanks for the answers.
My A100 is rooted. It is running ICS build number Acer_AV041_A100_1.037.00_WW_GEN1
Unfortunately, wiping dalvik did not change anything.
Although I use GPS a lot, there is nothing in /data. The folder /data/gps doesn't even exist.
[EDIT] It looks like I'm a noob ! It was that gps log problem.
/data was empty when I looked into it with File Manager. I went into recovery mode (I had TWRP installed). Then I could see a lot of thing in /data. I did a rm *.txt in gps folder and rebooted.
Everything is OK now. Thanks b1lk1.

Hi all,
I am actually on here all the time I just dont post much. I recently did an NSFFAN flash on my touch. I have done a lot of them... I usually upgrade when the new ones come out. Anyway, I forgot to pull my mini-sd card out this last time and I have lost all my pics. I have read about this problem before but I am not sure about the solution. Here is a screen shot of what the directory looks like on XP.

Anyone know how to go about fixing this? I assume the pics are still there maybe the headers are just gone? Maybe somehow the flash overwrote everything? I would like to get them back. Any idea's?
Thank you in advance!
Oh, and the new 100Media has nothing in it... When I try to take pictures now they take but do not save anywhere.
what the hell?
Yeah thats kinda what I said... hahaha
I have left the micro-sd card in there before during a flash and never had any problems like this... I mean if I can't get all the pics back its not the end of the world... but it would be nice to have them.
Sorry to tell you, but your SD card is corrupted. The same thing happened to me once and erased my Autorun folder for my Garmin Mobile XT. My solution was to reformat and re-install my apps. Luckily I made a back-up of my pics somewhere on my PC and was able to restore them.
Ah bummer!
I have most of them backed up but not all of them. It's not the sd card because everything else on it is fine... something just went in and killed that one directory. Strange...
My Galaxy S3's keyboard is massively lagging. I can visually see lag as i press letters and as my phone auto corrects and what not. Its lagging a lot more than my super old Evo 4g.. Can someone PLEASEEE help me fix this? High end phones shouldnt have lag on keyboards.. and i make sure to have all possible apps closed as i use it.
and almost everything runs smooth and with no lag except when downloading updates.. my keyboard seems to be the only issue.
So it appears i have fixed it.. i was forced to do a factory reset and i placed my stuff on my sd card instead of internal storage. Originally i didnt have my sd card in thus causing the issues i think. After the reset everything is running flawlessly =D no keyboard lag or lag in general with like 5 apps open XD i have fallen back in love =p
Similar issue

I am having a similar issue as well. what did you mean you placed everything on your SD card? apps, pictures, everything? literally?
My Swype beta was lagging to the point of fc... all I did was clear data then delete the keyboard and reinstall it. Now works great.

Hello folks. So yesterday I was tinkering around with my phone in an attempt to load the jelly bean ROM. I am new to the world of ROM's and things, so I made sure I did my research before going into the new ROM. I got everything backed up (so I thought), and flashed the jelly bean ROM. The screen just sat there doing nothing until I got rid of it and restored my backup from CWM.
Now every time I boot, I get a screen that says "Unfortunately, Factory Test has stopped" and it cancels out wifi and I have no lock screen/power off menu. I found a solution on XDA that said to look in the EFS file for a certain folder, but when I went into my /efs folder, this is what I saw.

So there is nothing in my EFS file unless I'm reading this wrong. And I was stupid enough to save my original absolutely clean version from EFS Pro on the internal memory which I wiped. I have another backup which I think might also be corrupted on my computer from the Galaxy s3 toolkit.
The strange thing is that from what I've read, EFS corruption leads to the phone being useless with no functionality. Mine is almost totally functional, minus the Factory Test coming up.
Help please?!!
Bump. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Any ideas to shoot around at all.
bump. Im having the same issue

If your /efs folder is missing/empty try this:
Get back to stock
Open Dialer

Follow prompts
Recently my phone has started to forget account defaults, specifically in youtube. I will watch a video in to morning with no problem, then try again at night and it acts like I have never opened it before, asking me to select between the two Gmail accounts I have. It has come up occasionally on other apps like Google currents, and it has persisted between roms. It started on skynote 8 a while ago after maybe a month of usage, I thought nothing of it after switching to clean rom 4.5 (just trying out different roms). It started to happen again after about a month again. Between these two rom switches I wiped everything possible because I was attempting to clear up other weird problems. I wiped the usual (cache, system, data) as well as formatting my microsd card in the Android system.
I have not been able to find a correlation to an app install or any setting change, if anyone else can shed some light on this I would be grateful, if not I will flash back to stock and see if it happens again, then I will take the issue to ATT.
Thanks!
One other thing I forgot that also broke was the accelerometer. It just failed to give any values. After switching roms it came back. I dont see how this would happen, again no correlation to an app or mod, in fact I hadnt flashed anything other than skynote.
Just going to guess. Do you have this app that Google forced on us?

It just shows up after downloading something from the playstore.
I have no idea why.

I'm hoping someone knows what's going on here and can help asap...
I upgraded my Sprint SGS3 using Samsung Keis the other day and all seems well, except this one big issue. Randomly (it seems whenever I get a notification, or the connection state changes, or I plug into power)the notification bar fills up with the "Download Complete" msgs. This is an issue because I can't see legit notifications in the bar, and/or I have to scroll to the bottom to see anything.
These file names *ARE* for files I had downloaded in the past, but not since well before the upgrade. I have gone so far as to delete the 'Downloads' folder altogether, no dice. Also, it isn't actually downloading the files again, just saying it did...
Any idea how I can stop this? Rebooting the phone is not helping at all. Is there maybe a cache somewhere I can clear that would help? This is a new SGS3 (replacement), so I just got finished resetting up my layout and all my apps and stuff, so I would **REALLY** like to avoid wiping it to factory...
Any help is appreciated. Thank You... :good:

Happened to me too, I think I fixed it by clearing data on download manager. If that doesn't do it try clearing data on Play store (not play services).
My wife has exact problem on hers.
Edit; clearing old downloads WORKS! Thx.

Yup, cleaning the downloads did it! Thank you, Sir! Much appreciated... :good::cyclops:
