I get this huge rainbow streak on my screen, its specially noticeable in the browser or the SMS app which have white backgrounds, its not that my protector hasn't settled in because I have been using it for over a weekim sure it has dried already.
I'm thinking maybe the protector was damaged on the shipping process? I'm saying this because the case it was on came in a not so good condition and the squeegee was stuck on the protector, it was an international shipping so I can't take it back, does somebody else has the same issue?
I have read about the rainbow effect on cheap screen protectors that's why in not fully convinced that it was damaged in the shipping process .

It's a defect, and not all of their screen protectors have them. I've had two that did, and two that didn't. Contact them and they'll send you one or two new ones for free. They have the most amazing customer service ever.
Are they vertical lines?

I have the same thing, I messaged them and they're sending a replacement.
They have a little section on their website where you can write them a message, so that's what I did. They got back to me right away.
I had a similar problem with my Realook sp. It only seems to happen on wet install sp's. On a white backgroud, it seems like there are water particles under the screen which gives that rainbow effect. I ordered a replacement and just got it today but have yet to install it. Realook told me its a defect in wet install sp's. Current I am using my Ringboo dry install sp and it has no problem at all, super crystal clear and u can't even tell that it is on. The only thing that bothers me is that its smaller than the screen so some parts are left exposed. I'll try to install the wet install Realook sp tomorrow and let you know how it goes.
Found this number for them on Google 801-225-4414 Its on their Corporate office map listing so who knows who you will speak to. Their contact page may be quicker

I have received one from them with the squeegee adhered to the screen protector from the heat while shipping. Then the replacement was jacked too...the plastic envelope it was in caused a weird pattern in the protector which remained after install. They do respond to your request or concerns in a timely manner which is a plus.
After using both wet and dry install protectors...I prefer the dry install screen protectors like Seidio sells.

Anyone find any good screen protectors so far??
Nah, the phone just came out. I bought the gel skin for $19.99 and it came with a screen protector.
i'm going to wait for the ZAGG one to come out.
realook protectors
wait till the realook protectors come out, my guess is they will be on ebay pretty soon, best protector out.
Wait for zagg
Does it really need one?? Gorilla glass??, My vibrant has been naked since day one and the screen looks new, The display is said to be the worst of all smartphones, so I wont be making it worse by applying a film over it. Just saying

Just placed my order for the reallook screen protector from Amazon. Should have it here around Nov 12th....
Zagg had one available beforfe the phone came out. We were getting one for my wife's G2 and the guy said he had them in stock. He had full body shield or just the screen.
This phone doesn't feel like gorilla glass, I think if it was there would be some mention of it officially.
Oh shi- just noticed something. I looked at my phone as I typed that last part and saw a reflection of the florescent lights overhead, and I"m seeing a lot of waves and distortion in the screen. Just took out my Nexus and the thing is like a mirror. Are all the Mytouch 4g screens like that?

FYI the screen protectors from the Nexus One fit this phone perfectly. There is only a .1 size difference between the 2 phones.
I bought the stock Nexus One screen protectors from T-Mobile and I am getting no Orange Peel effect on this screen.
I just received my realook (ordered from amazon) today. Price was something like $10.99 USD including s&h for 2 screens plus a camera screen protector.
I used a realook SP on my vibrant and liked it so much I installed one on the MT4G. I am very happy with SP for these reasons: bubble free, you can't see it on and it doesn't affect the touch sensitivity. Also no orange peel effect. You have to look really close at the edges to see if the realook screen protector is installed.

Is there a cutout for the FFC? or is it just a full coverage on the front of this brand?
I have seen some screen protectors with a slot cut, and it would cause a line break on the phone and it would be noticeable. I don't mind a hole punched in but the slot cut ones are not for me.

I have one big wavy line on my display running horizontally and then a few others that are barely noticeable. One of my friends got his MT4G the same day as me, and he has zero wavy lines on his phone. I asked about doing an exchange with T-Mobile, and they said I would have to contact the insurance company to receive a new one (dial 611 or something). WTF? I just bought the damn thing, and they state they don't do exchanges there.
Are you past your 14 day remorse period? You should be able to make the return as long as you kept the receipt.

I Just bought a couple of full body and screen protectors and got this coupon in a email...
if anyone else is after some gives you 3 screen covers for the price of 1
Coupon Code: 3FOR1S3
cheers
If you never ordered from them before use code BIG75 for 75% off 3 or more because you can only use that code once, but even if you've ordered before you can still use 3FOR1S3 which is why the existing customers got this email.
The "BIG75" promo code gives a better deal, just sign up another account if you are an existing customer.
I have this screen protector on my phone right now. I don't really recommend them.
I ordered three using the BIG75 code and I agree with SlimJ87D. They are wet application screen/full body protectors and they are more grippy than dry application ones. After using the phone with the naked screen I just couldn't stand the added friction.
XtremeGuard has an eBay store where you can get a full body coverage set for $7 shipped.
I ordered two, one for my S3 and one for my friends 4S.

bought mine back in july when they had the sale. the cut outs are perfect. i havent had any problems with jeans either as other users mentioned about the screen protector turning blue.
definitely does have that rubbery feel at first, but it smooths out a lot after 2 weeks or so.
also worth mentioning is that ppl said compare to zagg, this has less orange peel effect.
when i received my order, they missed a front protector..i emailed them and they immediately sent it out. to my surprise they included ANOTHER back cover protector. very good customer service.

First, let me say that I'm not a novice with respect to tempered glass screen protectors. I've been using them since they first started coming out for the second gen iPhone and have continued to use them with every Android device I've owned for which they have been available. That being said, I'm having the strangest problem with these protectors on my LG G3 and I'm curious whether anyone else has experienced this.
I'm now on my third different brand of tempered glass screen protector for the G3. Each one has installed fine and looked great. But after a few weeks, each one started to develop an air bubble in the exact same spot. It is on the first right side along the edge about 1/3 from the top. The bubbles have consistently been about 3/4 of an inch long and cannot be pressed out. After it happened the first time, I assumed there was simply an adhesive issue with that particular brand. When it happened with the next one, I thought maybe there was dirt or oil built up on the spot and gave the whole screen a strenuous cleaning. But now it has happened again with the third protector and I'm extremely frustrated to the point where I'm considering going back to the old school, non-glass protectors.
Has anyone else been hit with this same problem?
I've had mine on since a week after release and have no problems

seems rather odd, it's definitely in exactly the same place ?
that can only mean there's something on the screen then, and I'm not sure how the older style would help you any more ?
I ordered a cheap and cheerful glass protector from ebay.co.uk, it's 0.33mm thick, and has a small layer of glue (similar to LOCA you use replacing screens, but weaker so it can be removed easily). this layer helps it remove all bubbles and imperfections. Maybe try a protector which has this glue ?
Maybe your phone has a slight defect causing the issue. Try looking to see if there is a chip, scratch or abnormality in the display
Also I've had many issues with Spigen and Xtreme Guard, howveve, my MIME is great!
I had tried two so far, Spigen and nillkiin, had issues with both with bubbles that won't go away. I had mine in different spots.
On closed inspection I realized that it is because the glass screen protectors where slightly bent at the corners. Maybe happend during installation. It needs to be perfectly flat, once bent you cannot do anything
I'm on my second iCarez protector and I too am having a reoccurring air bubble in the same spot. I thought about switching brands..

I should clarify, by same spot, I mean for me specifically. Both iCarez protectors created a bubble close to the LED Notification light.

I also had the issue with iCarez after about a week, contacted them and they sent me a new one. I told them if it happens again I expect another replacement and they assured me they would keep sending until there were no issues. Doesn't solve the problem though.
I have the Zagg Glass and after a few weeks have noticed no issues at all. This is my first glass screen protector I've ever used and from reading about all the others I'm glad I spent the extra money for it. I actually got it for $27 during a sale they ran.

I have never had any issues with spigen tempered glass
I have the Spigen tR Nano Slim and it seems to affect the touch sensitivity. My phone is always registering accidental clicks when i mean to be scrolling.
I just applied a Tech Armor (.3 mm, 9h) glass protector and it went on very easily. A couple of small bubbles that were easy to remove and now I don't even notice that it's there (except that I think it's actually smoother than the regular glass). It was very cheap ($12 from amazon w/ free shipping) and seems to be good quality.
First off, shoutout to Otao for sending me this screen protector to check out. Now let's just jump into it.
The Good:
The edges are very sticky and have not came off of the phone at all as of yet (I will update this post if they do start to lift). .
The guide for installation is very good and actually clicks into place so there is no confusion as to whether or not it is on right.
The cases that I have fit well with the protector and don't actually touch it. (Spigen, VRS and RhinoShield)
Inside the box there was a bag of "screen protector accessories" (Alcohol wipe, tape and microfiber cloth.)
The glass doesn't take away sensitivity or the force touch home feature.
The not so good:
The Installation guide does seem to put the screen protector just a smidge lower than I would like for it to be. (cuts off a little tiny bit from the top of the screen, nothing that would hinder use.)
The dot matrix is visible in certain lighting but is not a big deal when compared to some of the other protectors I have checked out.
The only issue with the edges is that they are a little thick and will collect dust or lint over time. (this is just a pet peeve of mine)
Black edges
Here are some pics.
Box Contents
Guide and screen protector on.
Side view of thickness.
Finished product.
Verdict:
The screen protector from Otao is on amazon and this is a very good product that is easy to install. At $11.99 this screen protector is well worth the money. Especially when compared to the more expensive ones from places like BestBuy. If you are in the market to buy an affordable screen protector that you can install right the first time then I highly recommend this one. Ease of installation is a big deal for me because there is nothing worse then putting your screen protector on wrong and then trying to reconfigure it. You lose the stickiness and run the risk of breaking it. My favorite tempered glass protector was the Verizon one, followed by Olixar but this one is just as good if not better. If ya'll have any questions let me know.
People say that 2017 is the year of the disappearing bezels. I think it is also the year that the tempered glass screen protector makes a comeback.

No problems here so far. But it's only been 3 days.
I have also been using the OTAO for the past week and like it. The fitting with the tray installation worked well and endured the screen protector was spot on. The glass feels nice and is clear. My only gripe is it easily attracts fingerprints.

But it does make me worry if Samsung can't apply it perfectly , what chance do I have when I need to replace it?!

3 note 10 pluses unlocked . only one protector on top.. not two. ive removed the protectors ....
I had a small bump that I tried to scratch off and it is now a small pin hole. Drives me crazy, even though it's hard to see. I chatted with Samsung and they said to take the phone to the Samsung Experience store at Best Buy and they would replace the screen protector. Turned out to be bad information as Best Buy has no replacement parts. I called back and was told it is a warranty item, but Samsung has no replacement screen protectors!!..No time line known to have them.. Also, told I could not remove the existing screen protector as I could damage the screen and it would void warranty.. Not impressed with their lousy customer service!

That looks like it was marred. Been there, done that.
The factory screen protector is pretty good; leave it on as long as you can. It really can save your screen... I inadvertently tested it in a nasty drop onto a rough metal edge from 2 feet. No glass damage at all.
These phones love to faceplant...
Gorilla IQ Sheild is the only 3rd party protector I would recommend. Self healing, very scratch resistant and a fairly easy wet apply. No bubbles and the tactile feel is acceptable.
Pay close attention to installation. Since it's a wet apply, placement is easy just allow at least 10 hours drying time. If it lifts on the curve even after a month take a little bit water, wet and reapply that portion before dirt gets under it. Make sure it's sticking on the curve surfaces on install; simply press it down an extra time or two in the first few minutes.
Works with any case.
