Does anyone know the reason why pictures taken with the flash on looks like the picture below?

Looks like something might be on your lens?

I am running elitemod rom.
I think I figured the problem. My camera is cracked.
is it the camera or the plastic lens on the outer case? case you can find pretty easy, if its the camera you may need to find a busted g2/dz and swap it out

It's the camera. I do have a spare g2 but it looks as if the camera module is soldered onto the motherboard.

Nice video, how about try that on the camera lens to see if it is made of gorilla glass to?
What about the body? I've seen Gorilla glass tests before, but this new hardened plastic thing is another issue.

Can you please share where you got it? I guess you had to cut it to fit the lens on the One X?
I don't want to use a gel case on the phone, but it is my only way currently to protect the lens.

ohhhh my mistake! I have nothing protecting the lense on the one x at the moment. I thought you meant the lense on the dslr i used to film it. But yeah i see the problem...i might end up butchering a screen protector for it
impressive part 2, i wonder if the the grey version's backside would survive
Stacy, I love you. You're mad but fell safer after watching that video.
Anybody contemplating (or actually did) cut camera holes in the samsung official flip case?
Like for the front facing cam? Just open the flap! Lol

That's what she said.... I kinda like the look of the flip cases, but I have a feeling that I would get sick of it real quick. Plus the douche factor is pretty high... Lol

I'm thinking that the original poster meant for when it is folded around to the back so you can still take pictures and not have the flap open.
^ ah yeah that would make sense!
its funny though, when i was at the Sprint store, that was the first thing i thought of when i picked it up, that and there isn't a raised lip around the camera lens :-( . I ended up getting the body glove case they had as it offers some protection for the camera.
If only Samsung did what HTC did with the LTEvo (I exchanged it for S3) and recessed the lens into the top cover.
Hello, I've been using my Desire Z for 1.5 years and I found out that camera has a lot of dust over it. IDK how did it get in since a lot of phone cameras are single piece with the lens cover and the glass but apparently HTC didn't use that tech. Is there anyway I can clean that dust of with compressed air or something like that? Thanks!
Maybe does this helps you out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SliyuYBvfic

I was actually looking into getting the fish eye lens and came across this on eBay http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=111054770100
However, I have to remove my Poetic atmosphere case every time I have to use it as I was told. So, I'm still undecided

Would it work using UAG case on the phone?

The photojojo macro band is great in my opinion. It doesnt work well with a case though, I usually end up popping the phone out and putting the band on. You can see some of the pictures I used it on here http://www.flickr.com/photos/sad_ryu/ (This set specifically http://flic.kr/s/aHsjHjR9hr )
Any of the macro shots (most are instagramed) in my photostream were taken using a Galaxy Nexus, Note 2 or HTC One.
Its a little tricky due to shallow depth of focus, and you need good light, either sunshine or a torch, but you can get some nice shots with it.
Has anyone got any example photos taken with those?
Screen question

I was wondering why does it not work with a case on? is it due to a focus issue? I would love if i could keep my UAG case on while using the easy macro band. It seems so cool and useful
It works best when flat against the lens glass. If the case separates the two, you just get a blurry mess.

Using the stock camera app, when I switch to the front facing lens, the image looks distorted... almost like it's a fisheye/wideangle. Is this just the lens or something? It really stretches/squishes out my head. What could it be? Or is it just the lens they use?

Pretty much all the latest Android phone have wide angle front facing cams now. Easier to fit more people.
