[Q] Why Talking Tom Cat uninstalls itself? - HTC One V

I noticed that when I install Talking Tom Cat it uninstalls itself after a day. First time I installed the TC 2 and i thought that the version has some bugs so I installed the original TC but now it's gone aswell. What's could be the reason for that?

Lost access to copy protected apps after root + A2SD

Hi guys I rooted my desire using the live cd method, powered up my phone before installing a2sd and I could see all of my download history on the market with access to all apps. After this I booted into recovery using step2 on the live cd and installed A2SD. When I turned the phone on again all of the download history was gone and I can't see apps like Google Earth, National Rail etc.
I thought I did something wrong so I wiped the device and installed the rooted rom update again with a2sd at the same time. The problem still exists and nothing has changed.
Could you please help me because this is very annoying and I cant set up my phone the I want until this is resolved.
Very strange... Use Market enabler > http://market-enabler.googlecode.com/files/MarketEnabler_latest.html
install, apply new settings and reboot, problem solved
Thanks for the suggestion but the market enabler doesn't solve it, I tried it.
Another strange thing that I found is I have an .apk of CoPilot which I was using before rooting and when I tried installing it now it gives me an error "Application not installed".
I still haven't solved this problem and its really bugging me.
I un-rooted my phone and used a different google account with no luck. I still don't see some applications in the market.
Just to let you know I am in the UK using a generic sim free desire on 3 network. Could you please, please, please help me out. I am running out of options and I thought unrooting would fix it.
Weird issue you are describing. As far as I know it depends on the fingerprint of the build.prop in the ROM (and if Google added it to the white list(?)) or not.
Many people are using the rooted ROM (all the same build.prop) and they can access protected apps just fine. So probably the problem lies elsewhere.
I have a similar problem, before I rooted my device I could see all apps I bought in my g1 days. After I rooted first of all none showed up, after a day or so only a few showed up... rebooted a few more times (only ever flashed once using Windows with apps2sd) now I have a few I had before show up not all just a few and thats how its been since. weird. I had half results :/

Same problem here with one single application.
Had SlideIT paid version installed on stock firmware.
Once i rooted it gave me the message "application not installed" once i tried to install it.
Funny enough the SlideIT lite version is still able to install fine.
Definitely want it to work again, so i hope someone knows how to fix it
I tried a couple of different ROMs today and had this same problem, clicking My Downloads would just show a blank screen, and there was no "Top Paid Apps" tab. I tried unrooting, rerooting, nothing fixed it, until I found this;

Pushing that xml file (note the spelling mistake before you do it) fixed it all back up, no idea what caused it to get all messed up and why it wasn't fixed by wiping and reflashing.

I tried to push the file via adb shell in windows and got permission denied. Am I doing it right or do I need to root the phone again to be able to push that file because I have reverted back to the generic stock rom?
Mine was rooted when I pushed it, try re-rooting it and pushing it again I guess.
I finally got around to re-rooting it and tried your solution with pushing that file but no change to my market
Just to be clear I can see the Top Paid apps tab, but I cant access copy protected apps like Google Earth.

Can't download from Market..

Hello,
I'm using AhmgskMod FroyoSenseV1 with the old A2SD,
yesterday i've installed Market enabler and downloaded a few apps,
but today i can't seems to download any APP including free ones...
I dont know what causes that, do you have any idea?
thank you
I have also had this problem since friday - i am using the stock o2 phone with no tweaks
actualy that fits because i was using 02 as the fake operator.
i tried uninstalling market enabler but seems like he still thinks i'm on 02...
how can i fully uninstall it?
Ive found loads of answers by googling it but none of them are working for me - it would not be an O2 issue would it?
I'm on vodafone and had the same problem. Over wifi too. Switched to org DJDroid rom and problem went away but now I've gone back to Pays 2.1 ROM as too many issues with the froyo roms at the mo.
im getting very frustrated lol!
I have cleared all sorts of caches, cleared download managers - ensured i was signed into googlemail nothing works!!
I'm using this rom for a few days now, and the problem started today...
it seems that even after i uninstalled ME, i still sees the "paid app" tab whice i'm not suppose to see here in Israel,
whice indecated that it's not properly uninstalled.
is there a special way to Uninstall apps with A2SD+ ?

[Q] Market bug!!

Thx beforehand!
Using Dinc skyraider 3.2 sense hydra kernel OC 1.15 ghz w/ ov
I noticed a problem when i tried to buy an app(ishoot) from the market, the transaction went ok, it charged the money from my account, but it would not download saying that authorization fail or something. Then i bough another app(fruit ninja) and it downloaded and installed fine. Then an update came out for it and it downloaded fine. Now every update that i try to install downloads fine, but does not install.. so does any1 know a solution to this, or does any1 know where to find the downloaded files so i could install using root explorer?? THX
I use astro but i am sure it's the same.
I have the same problem every now and then and this is what i do...
go into /mnt/sdcard/download
in there you will find your .apk's. you probably have a few in there now. i would delete all of them. go back to market and re-download them. if they do not install, i go to the download folder and launch them through there.
works like a charm.
EDIT: this has nothing to do with what ROM or kernel you have. i have had this problem on every ROM i've tried.

Duplicated apps after Gingerbread install.

Hi all
I downloaded Gingerbread on my Desire HD at the weekend. After playing around with it for a while I thought I would do a full Factory Data Reset to get it like it like a brand new phone with Gingerbread. Later on I downloaded the Google maps updates again only to find that the phone for some reason seems to have duplicated the Google Navigation apps and the Places apps.
Anybody know how to I can get rid of the xtra apps??
Try restarting the phone. I had this problem before but solved after restarting my phone.
Assuming your rooted, use and something like android commander or QtADB to uninstall the duplicated apps. Provided of course that a simple reboot didn't sort the issue out.
No, sorry its not rooted.

So now the new Busy Box update is borked??? WiFi don't work!!!

WTF...First there were a million updates to Super User till the dev broke that about a month ago.
Now I update Busy Box in the market today and my WiFi connection won't work properly...Not having any idea that it could even be Busy Box's fault I started doing a serch and others are having the same problem after the new Busy Box update.
And I just installed the newest ota update so I don't have an old nandroid to restore to.
The WiFi will work sometimes but slow and not seem to respond at all other times...weird.
Can you uninstall updates through Settings > Applications?
Edit: Actually, is busybox even necessary anymore? I just realized I'm on McD's ICS ROM and I don't seem to have busybox installed. I've restored all of my apps through Titanium and it never prompted me to install.

Now I am having problems with TB, don't know if its busy box related. Just tried to integrate maps and now it is gone from my phone.
I updated earlier and have had no issues. I dont see how it would mess anything up as it was just an update to the app (which is basicly just an updater) not the busybox binary which is what actually performs all the actions.

Thats what I was thinking. But all of a sudden have just started having some weird issues. Maybe a coincidence.
And now had my first problem with TB integrating an app, but I think TB uses another version of Busy Box so I dunno.

I believe your right, TB has busybox built into it.
I'm also expieriencing broken WiFi after updating busybox last night. Now running 1.19.3 - woke up today and my phone was super hot (110 F), battery was at 80% when I unplugged it and WiFi is stuck on 'obtaining IP address'
I'm unable to get wifi to work on my home wireless where I have WPA secuirty setup, or on my work's wireless where I have no security.
I've been trying various suggestions posted in other threads and on other forums but nothing has resolved the issue. I'll keep at it when I have free time today and update this thread if I have any success..
EDIT: not sure if it's worth mentioning or not, but Root File explorer seems to be broken as well, opening up to a blank screen that just says 'Root Explorer' on top. Have to hit the home key to exit the program.

Should mention, phone is an AT&T Samsung Galaxy S2 runningSerendipity 8.2 ROM w/ Entropy's kernel

This is correct, it has it built into the app.
I got it working by setting a static IP. Hardly a fix, but wifi is working now.
I have no idea what the root cause of this is.. or if it's even related to busybox.
Apologies if I've hijacked the thread (having completely different hardware and all) but I believe we share the same issue. I'm planning on flashing to a new ROM soon if I can't get DHCP working again.
EDIT: Root Explorer still not working though, & eventually force closes if not exited with home button.
If you believe the new busybox is the problem just open it up and install the previous version.

busybox is baked into most roms now.

I tried that and it didn't resolve the issue. I'm unable to remove it because I don't have the full version..
--Update (day after). Flashed to cm7 last night and everything's good now. I don't have the patience to troubleshoot lately.
