You need to call T-Mobile directly and request the unlock code for your phone. Just tell them you are leaving the country next week and need to use another/international SIM card to get service. Be sure they ask for your e-mail address before you hang up because this is how they notify you with the unlock code...
You're welcome.

Or you could do the chat feature. Then you can have all the reference numbers if you print/email them. Just make sure that you change the APNs when on the ATT network....

I need help with my Unlocked Htc wing!!!

Hi,
I have a tmobile wing that has been unlocked using tmobiles unlock code they sent me. Yes most of everything works.. but theres a couple of issues.
1. I get this message randomly.
"453 error invalid number. please re-send using a valid 10 digit mobile number or valid short code.
06050415cc15cc6oD8"
2. When i try to log onto aim it says
"4607 error invalid number. please re-send using a valid 10 digit mobile number or valid short code. Wv11rl2
ui=wv:my username
ci=win.oz#[email protected]
pw= my password "
First I called tmobile... they say its Att's settings. I call Att and basicly he was no help.. all he did was confirm that data was working by giving me cingular/att settings. But im sort of confused on this one... the oz instant messenger .. does it use DATA? OR SMS? Att says you cant use it unless you have data, while on tmobile it worked great and just used my sms. So a couple questions for anyone whos kind enough to help.
- Is this a carrier problem?
- Is there a problem in my connections?
- Any advice?
- Is there a way to get the Att tilts software on my wing and would that fix it?
- What do you think?
Im not that big into modding and hacking phones, I just like them to work the way i want them So maybe some of the experts can help me out!
Thanks !!
Matt
first rename and then delete the file in your windows/startup called.. My5MsgCenter

international calls

im new using windows mobile and im looking for an applications to make calls international any information about that
uhmmm, not sure where to start with this.
I could go with:
You just dial the number you want with the country and area code and push send. Talk and then pay the bill when you get it.
or
Get Skype and use Internet based calling. There is a cost to this as well I believe.
or
It is a windows based phone. There is no hack to allow free phone calls to other places without the carrier allowing it and thus billing you for it.
Maybe a little more information on what you want to do would be helpful. You sort of said " I have a new car so how do I get to Vegas?"

The questions was vague and poorly composed (just like your subsequent responses). That's why you didn't get a proper answer to your question.

[Q] Unlocking found SIII with no password, pin, google acct info etc. possible

Hello all,
Today I found a sIII. I'm trying to figure out how to get into the locked phone (swipe style password). I have no password, pin, or google account information.
Ideally I'd like to unlock the phone and retain the current information so that I can track down the owner. (I don't know why anyone puts passwords on their phones as it's impossible to track down the owner!!) I'm aware of the "bug" that allows you to get into the emergency contact section etc., but I'm not sure that works when the phone does not have service as it says something about service currently unavailable.
If I can't get into it and retain the current info, will a hard reset allow me to bypass the password? Maybe rooting the phone?
Any advice is appreciated.

I say you see what provider the phone is for. call the provider and tell them that you found a device. if its a cdma give them the ESN and they should be able to tell the owner of the phone that it has been found. i think that is what you should do.
Get into download more and factory reset is worth a try but if you look hard enough. Or you tubes there's ways to do it I saw a video about that on YouTube the other day but I didn't bother looking at the video.

I don't know how to get pass the lock screen.
However afrer hard reset, although the data will be wiped, u can dial
##786# 》 View 》 mobile number.
For sprint phones, unless u activate this phone on a different account, previous number is stored.
Good luck

Just take it to a sprint store if its a sprint phone.
Not saying you are because i don't know anythong about you. But even though you said you want to track down the owner. Asking how to get around security measures on a phone makes the thought of keeping it or selling it for $$ pop in my head. Again no offense.

Thanks for the info guys. I know it sounds a little shady, but if I was really trying to keep it I'd say; "LOL forgot my password, pin, and google info hehe I'm a silly gurl plz help!" Problem is I found it on a mountain and I'm out of town and there is no service for me to answer any calls it receives. by the time I drive back down to get service, I'll be too far to turn back to return it.
I'm trying to do the right thing, but if it's going to be next to impossible it might just be a lost cause.
If there was no password on it, it would take me a couple minuted to track down an email or phone number I could track this guy/girl down with, unfortunately, if this is not the case it I might hold onto it.
You're trying too hard to be a good samaritan. This is simple. If it is a Sprint/Verizon/AT&T/TMobile phone, stop by the nearest Sprint/Verizon/AT&T/TMobile store and just simply drop it off saying i found this phone and want it to get back to it's owner. The employees know how to look up the details via ESN and or IMEI and get in touch with the account holder. It is that simple.
All this asking for how to bypass the PIN or lock code is irrelevant....unless you have personal designs on the phone yourself.

It doesn't have to be the store nearest to where you found the phone. It could be any store. They all have the same computers. And can ship phones.

How to unlock the carrier(SIM card) on my HTC Desire Eye(ATT)?

What would be the optimal way?
I 'd prefer a free way, if I wont brick it.
Sorry for the dumb question, I googled, but found no info on it except sellers trying to sell unlock codes.
This is my first phone I need to tinker with so I'm confused.
Thank you in advance!
If anyone has the same issue, its pretty easy to do so.
att . com/deviceunlock/#/
Just complete the form and it you get the unlock code immediately. Be sure to confirm from the email, and then dont wait for the next email but go immediatly to the "check device unlock request status" or something like that(its a link they will give you once you confirmed the request).

Search the forum, there are methods with a bump'd image. You can also pay $5 for an unlock code which is what I did. Good luck

Bump is for a bootloader unlock, not for a sim unlock. But you can find it here (ONLY USE WITH KITKAT).
Just contact the carrier via their support site, open a chat session and request an unlock code. There's no charge, and you'll receive it during the session. You could also try the Mobile Device Unlock app if on T-Mobile...
https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-14011
Again, if on T-mobile these are the unlock requirements

Same problem
Hey guys, I'm having the same problem
I own a D855 phone bought at SFR (in France), I'm about to change of carrier but SFR made a mistake when they created my unlock code, so now they are contacting LG to have a new code, but it'll be too long... (up to 4 weeks)
I'm sure there might be a way to unlock a network without to have to pay, right ? Don't know, maybe a file to edit or replace or something like that ?
My carrier will be automatically changed in about 2 days, and I wont be able to use my carrier services network anymore in 2 days if my phone/network isn't unlocked.... So no more texts, no more calls, ...
I'm using Fulmics ROM & last Xceed kernel
Thanks
UPDATE : I bought an unlock code on https://www.freeunlocks.com but they gave me the same code that my carrier gave me. This code doesn't work...
I really need help, any way to unlock my phone and use it with my new carrier please....
