Fookin hilarious app!!! worked a treat on me back speaker
I had exactly the same prob. The simple solution for this is to use a toothbrush. Yes you heard it right !! Just use a toothbrush to clean the front speaker grill. Same goes for the rear grill. And I bet, you will be amazed by the result. You will hear ur opposite as loud as it ment to be......
Hope this would help
Sorry for bad English

This really annoys me. I try to forget and sometimes it works but I feel as though you have just reminded me that I am breathing and now I can't think about anything but.

The best method hands down is using canned compressed air. It's usually used by computer hardware enthusiasts to remove dust from PCB's, fans and whatnot.
Other than that I have a really tiny fine bristled brush that came with my beard trimmer they also work.
A bit of blu-tac works a charm for the speaker grill, just push it into the holes and the dust will stick as you peel the blu-tac away

Can also say compressed air is the best method. I used an air line at work and its made calls a lot clearer to hear.

Surely compressed air will just push the debris into the speaker enclosure, which isn't the best solution as far as I can see.

Any enclosure to a speaker is behind, so no but your point is still valid in the sense that it will dislodge anything stuck in the grills/holes and it will end up inside the casing of the phone. This actually happens naturally in all electronic devices.
It's damn near impossible to remove debris from the holes and not have it go inside the phone.

You may want to regulate the pressure though, too much will tear the speakers apart.

Yeah! haha We don't want anyone going to their local fuel station and using the compressed air machines there!
Wet wipe and a toothbrush sorted it out for me! Can actually see led now too, forgot how bright it was initially lol!

Headphones

Was pleasantly surprised by the very good headphones that came with my one v.
Looks like HTC is finally paying attention to detail and not giving crappy earphones with their smart phones.
Totally unlike a certain company which gives you the same earphones whether you buy an iPod shuffle or an iPhone 4s.
Sent from my HTC One V using xda premium
well.. here's someone who knows how to appreciate
though many people complains bout not having beats earphone
Actually,I think the beats may be worse than the HTC one's.
I tried a friends and they were no different than the others.

therefore its called lifestyle headphone. if HTC bundled HTC One V with Beats headphone, then you are most likely have to pay $120 more for your phone. just like HTC Sensation XE.
Hah! Yeah
Since HTC has already bought beats, I suspect it won't be long until they start to charge a premium for the headfones.
Of course only extremely dumb or extremely rich people or both would actually buy it

There is an audiophile adage,
"No highs, no lows, it must be Bose".
I'd have to agree though that Beats are also low quality. Wish there was a way to get rid of the beats branding on my phone..

Odd, my One V didn't come with earphones :S is that normal for koodo? Also, i cant get 3 ringed earphones to be detected, is that a limitation of the one v?
Using Skullcandy S2BLBZ-WS... I love it... but i do agree, HTC's stock aren't that bad...

Bose are real awesome too but too freakin expensive... but hey they do have a rock solid quality...

Koodo's version doesn't come with headphones, that's probably why it's only $175 CAD.

Use a toothbrush
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Use a toothbrush as @athulele suggested and rub it over the speaker and front speaker grill... Make sure you do it gently otherwise it might damage the LED which is located in the front...
And after that, blow some air into the speakers as some dust still remains...
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
