Pretty new here. and searched this for a couple days. My question that I'm tryin to answer is... can I flash back to the day I rooted then swap the 8g sd card with my brand new 16g without copy/ paste from 8g. Or if I do have to copy the 8g card how do I know what I cannot delete from it.

I had the same exact issue. Just pull out the battery and SD card for a full minute and it will solve all ur problems.

Im getting my phone tomorrow but I was reading that the phone diesnt come with a sd card and that it is partitioned for 2 gb of app storage. Then there is 11 gb available for pics, videos, and music. Is this true? Im used to these going on the sd card

Yes its true. SD slot is empty and your numbers for internals are correct

Yes, you can put what ever you want on it.

I'm sure it won't be long before we have the ability to set our own internal app storage partitions.

I upgrade from the SGS4g to the SGS2 tmo and I'm kinda confused about the storage directories. I'm seeing emsc, ex-sd and internal memory. I did a nandroid, call log, and sms bakups before flashing and now I can't find any of them. Thanx in advance for your time and effort.

What did u use for back up? Cmw rom manager or what? Saved files should be in there. As if u did a nandro you have saved it to ur PC/lappie. That way u can pull it from there

And forgot to mention as long as you don't format your external SD card you won't loose any of the data saved on it. I d/l any zips into my external that way my internal is not all bloated with a lot of stuff and slows down my phone.
