[Q] Problem with adb

Hello friends,
Ive been following this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=532719
to get adb started on my Windows XP 32 bit sp 2 x86. I installed the drivers with my phone in fastboot usb mode till i got "Android Bootloader Interface"
But when I type
cd C:\android-sdk-windows\tools === Press Enter
adb devices === You should see your device listed
adb shell === you should see # in the next line
for the second line i get - 'adb' is not recognised as an internal or external command operable program or batch file.
I dont see my device listed.
I tried usb deview too.
What am I doing wrong. I could get the proper results when I tried the same with a friend's Win Vista pc.
Please help. Thanks.

[Q] Cannot install/use ADB properly

Hey guys,
I'm having problem with ADB and my AMOLED Desire on Win7 x64.
In general, adb isn't working. I tried many different drivers (at the moment I'm using the one from HTC Sync) but none of them really gave me adb options.
In Device Manager, there is a Android Composite ADB Interface and I can use adb devices. Then it shows me HT05APL06241.
But I cannot pull/push/remove anything and while using QtADB there are no files/folders on the phone.
However, I can take screenshots via QtADB and fastboot commands work too (just flashed cm7 hboot^^).
Can anybody help me?
Thanks in advance

[Q] Not able to debug!

So I am a bit done with just flashing other roms to my kaiser and also want to develop some apps and want to experiment with making my own roms, but initially just porting roms from other devices like the HTC wildfire. But I am not able to use debugging:
So this is what I have done I have installed the android sdk and also installed the ADT plugin for eclipse. Then I have compied the android-sdk file to the root of my c drive so it is easier to use the command line interface with this file. I then run the following commands in the cmd, as admin:
adb kill-server
adb start-server
adb devices
And here is where the **** just hits the fans I am unable to see my device in the list of devices. While my device is recognized by the computer as ADB Interface > HTC Dream Composite ADB Interface in the device manager section. (But I must note that when I click on the device it is noted: "Device cannot start. (code 10)" ) Also when I double click on the device in the regular computer windows (where all your hd's are showed) the file system of the device is empty!
So does anyone have any advice?
Have you test it from a live usb or CD GNU/Linux like Ubuntu?
Nope, I hoped that it would work in Windows, but I will try it in Linux if that would solve it.l But can you see anything that i am doing wrong or is it just Windows
I always have problems with USB management on Windows, all versions...with all my computers. Linux kernel seems to be better, imho, for USB.

adb Problem

Heya,
I'm in the process of getting permaroot and I got a problem with adb commands which is really annoying.
Whenever I fire up an adb command, either in dos or adb shell, it works with a chance of 50/50. It can happen that I fire the command and nothing happens but a cursor, then I have to ctrl+c out and try it again.
And this sucks especially when I have to do several commands in a row in the shell -.-
What kind of commands, how are you connecting it to the computer, what kind of computer (windows, OSX, Linux?) what Rom? Are you connecting thru a USB hub (powered or unpowered), are you using the latest android SDK that matches your Rom's version?
Basically a lot of information needs to be mentioned.

Going mad just can't get fastboot to work?

I have tried windows and editing the inf file for it to recognise the Swift but adb works but fastboot doesn't. That is after toggling USB debug several times to get the authorization prompt to appear. I have tried Ubuntu 15.10 live CD, updated udev rules but adb/fastboot does not detect any device.
Is anyone able to help? I am at a complete loss of what I am doing wrong?
I just want to unlock and flash twrp 3 recovery.
Thanks

Think fast boot only works in bootloader mode see here for unlock instructions

If I am using windows what drivers should I install? Adb works but does fastboot need drivers also? I have tried fastboot both with phone in and out of the fastboot screen - I have to pull battery to get out of fastboot mode! Thanks
Quite close to begging here never had problems like this with previous phones. Adb works (it reboots into fastboot) but fastboot doesnt it just says waiting for devices.
Any pointers appreciated - thinking it is driver related whatever I choose it seems to say compatible driver not found.
Any pointer to drivers that should work would be great?
Have tried again in Ubuntu (not got adb or fastboot working Ubuntu 15.10 live cd) and in Windows (adb working but fastboot now).
Help!
