Anyone can give me some help? I think I screwed up the sim slot on my phone...even when it is removed I can't turn data off in one of the toggles in my notification bar. When I go to settings and go to apn it says insert sim...I was flashing g2x cm9 but I restored so there shouldn't be anything.

Flash yourself back to stock with Odin and just have some damned patience. CM9 for the glide is in closed alpha, it's only a matter of time.
...aosp is being built by our devs. If you are building it, fine. As far as I know there's no closed alpha in the thread. Thanks for idea though.

I don't know about the Skyrocket but if you flash a galaxy S2 rom you're gonna brick your device. There's been a few members who posted this already.
It is the same device minues LTE so in theory it would work. I know they have flashed our roms with no brick only issues would be APN settings. I am not a dev so i could be wrong

It's not that bad.
Just need to flash a kernel, modem, and replace a gps.conf, and you should be fine and dandy.
The reason why I say a modem is because of the whole LTE thing, I wouldn't want it to screw anything up on your devices. I know for a fact we can flash your modem, our conversion script doesn't include a modem, so we can use your modem, don't know if it's vice-versa.

They are the same phone except the radio they use. So obviously would need minor tweeking but im sure you could flash with no issue..

I had a Galaxy SII Epic touch then switched to ATT got the skyrocket. I had roms from the Epic touch on my card. I selected the wrong rom, one for the epic not the skyrocket and bricked my phone. Sent the phone to mobletechvideo and had it unbricked. Super fast turn around good service. I recommend it! http://mobiletechvideos.mybigcommerce.com/contact/
I just flashed the cm9 rom and it won't connect to Sprints network. Also, in settings anything that has to do with network it says unknown

After reading your root help thread you f^*(ked up putting something in the phone slot. Your going to have to oding back to stock, since you flashed cm9 that's mtd and you'll need to re-partition as well.

ok guys check this out I have been flashing roms for about two years I flashed the Darkside evolution beta 2 rom along with the radio that was with it and the kernal I followed all the steps that was listed. once my flashing I couldnt receive text messages and all my calls went directly to voicemail. I am sure I did something wrong but what did I too????

Hey man I had the same issue as you. I even lost root for some reason. I fixed it by using his super wipe script. Then flashing the rom then radio and literally not touching it for like five minutes after it boots up. Once I got signal I then rebooted and was good from there.

Hows the phone working till this day? Are you getting all your calls? I flashed this rom and had the same problem and just wanted to know if your way worked. If it does then I am going to flash back to evolution b2 and daily it. Its a great rom!

yes it can be done but unfortunately i have no idea how
all i know is you would need someone who is willing to create or port a custom recovery that supports it..
it can't be done with the currents recoveries available for this phone

Well I was able to using a app. Im cursed with having a broke volume down button, so that was my only choice since i couldnt get to download mode without rooting and using a widget to reboot to download mode.
I have to dig around for the app but I know I saved it just in case...

The app is called framaroot. I used verision 1.4 it looks like there is another update for it. Its here on XDA.

Interesting. It's worth a shot OP. Worst case, it fails and you uninstall. If it is successful, you can install mobile odin, then get the latest gb27 tar, and money. While you're at it, you will have to flash a cwm custom jb kernel, since you're on ics, and, MO won't flash modems, you'll need a jb modem to use data on gb27. Download the zip though of the modem . Good luck, let us know how it goes.
