Hey guys am running Franco nightlies with aokp milestone 5 and am having major wifi problems. After a couple of hours of being connected my wifi will go grey and my whole net connection will drop requiring a reset of my router. Any ideas on how to fix?

Maybe your router is faulty? I don't see how your phone would crash the router.

I dont know why people goes with nihgtlies.. Those a are for beta testers..
Ill explain some.. Franco wants to add a new feature.. So he code it and compile the new nightly but then as a result when testers flash the nightly the new feature its causing some problems with other stuff like making wifi drops..
So the testers report and then franco try to fix and so on.. Until he releases a MILESTONE (bugless version of the kernel)
I really encourage you to only use milestone roms/kernels unless you wanna be a beta tester / bug reporter for devs... Wich in that case you shouldn't be reporting your wifi issue here but to franco
Cheers

Hi there,
Me and a friend both installed latest Franco kernel and AOKP Milestone 3 (including respective gapps).
I however seem to be seeing random crashes whenever I use my applications. Seems to be as a result of the keyboard, as it starts to get sluggish right before the crash.
What's odd is my friend isn't experiencing no such issues.
I've included the bug report is e-mails out after the crash. Anyone have any ideas?
[Details]
Android OS: 4.0.3
Baseband: I9250XXKK6
Kernel Version: 3.0.21-franco.Kernel-nightly-17.2
Build number: IML74K
Mod version: aokp_maguro_milestone3
I'm using milestone 3 and Franco 13.1. My phone has only crashed once however I do get the random bug report emails that generate every now and again.

I had the same issues, but mine glitched alot. I switched over to gummy, and both myself and my phone are happy.

Just odd since nothing is different between my and my friends gnexus.
I kinda like having AOKP though because its sorta 'official' ROM.... well future offocial
i'm thinking of going with aokp, but it's kinda a "turn off" for me when it comes out with a weekly build and i feel the need to constantly check on the forums and flash to a new one
what's a good one that is just solid that doesn't require a new build update every week?
You can go Aokp because the last stable build is milestone #4 all the other builds that come out are just a nightly.

i understand but having nightly builds makes me feel like i need to constantly upgrade to the newest one
Just... don't update then? If your setup works well just leave it. You can always skip updates.
I'd go with Bamf Paradigm. Uniquely built AOSP rom, stable, and good battery life. Try it for yourself, you'll be amazed
And quality over quantity - no hyper change logs every 4 days, but if you're in for something different, jump in.
if that is such a problem then just flash AOKP Milestones... not AOKP Nightlies + Milestones.
Milestones are for people who don't want to keep updating. These milestones come 1-2 week.
Honestly, if updating a ROM / Kernel is a "turn off" because a developer is maintaining their ROM / kernel at a rate to improve your phone more and more and you don't want to stick with that maybe you should of stayed on stock ROM/kernel? Because this is like me hearing that people are complaining about a dev updating their ROM / kernel way too much.
When you rush through things and do not test enough, you end up missing issues, which ncreases the need to update the rom more frequently.
BAMF Paradigm does not release updates like mad because for every release, we have at least 3-4 testing releases to our beta testers to find and fix bugs. We do not like to consider our users the beta testers.
I am running aokp 4.1.1 build 3 and I love it. I know the rom is still not stable, but I keep getting sod regarding the fact that some people don't get them that don't get them. Tried reflashing, switched it to interactive and minimum frequency. I know the rom is still not stable, but there's got to be a soultion to this
If there was a solution then it wouldn't be happening would it.. try upping your lower freq, try a different governor and scheduler.

Try Darkside super wipe, next rom and gapps and use darkside cache wipe or wipe cache with CWM and btw i install build 4 is running fine but i don't know how to connect to the computer mtp mode is not working, btw try that proccedure works for my and if you to fix the mtp mode problem let me now buddy... have fun!.. and luck...:good:
screen edit
quick question, can you finally edit the number of screens on the launcher without using Nova on AOKP Build 4 + October 1 Nightly?
btw I haven't gotten a single rr or sod after changing my settings to interactive/deadline

Can't believe you said that there's got to be a solution.. Why? why does there have to be one.. stuff happens and people more knowledgeable than you or I are working on it. Hey honestly I don't get them on either AOKP or CM10. You have a choice though cm9 or aokp ICS run great and maybe you should try them until things meet your standards.
Hi Everyone, can anybody tell me how to port CM10 A100 to Iconia A101, coz I always use A100 ROM but I lose my 3G capability?
Thanks Before
Well, I you'd need 3g drivers. Etc maybe drop the 3g apps in? I may not be possible. Might also need source changes.

I know this thread is older... But to answer your question: it must be built into the source before compile it - just to sum it up. But that's what I want to do.
I planned some projects for A100/101
- build an existing Rom (cm9) with 3g to serve a101 users (cm9 is most stable)
- recovery with dual boot (and run Ubuntu n near android)
- start 4.2 builds
This is lot of work and will take a lot of time, any help appreciated.

Eh. 4.2 was booting just no WiFi and lots of little UI stuff.

How are things progressing? I found the following old info:

It can have 3g just fine, I've asked a few times for the 3g ril files from 101 users wanting me to build for them, they always vanish and I never hear back about it.
A100 just had its rotation for builds last night / this morning so it'll come up again sometime between wed-fri I think. Been looking at updating the black bean build and maybe adding AOKP as well, I'll use them for testbeds. I may go ahead and just do an extra day on the A100 and see about getting a potential 3g build up for you.
Side note, sosei will use gps if you use the newer cm10 boot.img.
Current rotation is:
Nexus 7 holds priority as I've been invited to Team Sorcery as their N7 dev.
Toshiba Thrive 4.2 development, 4.1.2 updates and kernel work (voodoo sound) comes second as they've been extremely generous to me.
Droid DNA aosp porting as the device was pretty much donated
Slight GNex work as needed, rare
A100 is bottom/last as I don't own one, luckily fixes from the thrive usually directly move over to the A100
Other devices I don't own.
I have a few things planned for the A100 for some nice updates and releases to jeep you guys in a variety of ROMs, like AOKP and some updates to the cm9 kernel I use.

Things are going slowly... Too much work in the office. But I set up a working tree some weeks ago for CM9 and a kernel. As soon as I have some more time I'll continue this. I was also busy with a kernel for the moto razr. Once I had a whole team, but now I'm alone... Will take time.

sorry for revived such an old thread,
i've managed to port cm10 to iconia a101, 3g and other is working properly.
but it still got a couple of bug, just wanna know if there someone here who could help me fix some bug left (let's say like gps) :fingers-crossed:
What is your base and port ROM that you used? ie what CM10 rom did you use or did you build from source? What kernel did you use?
Also you need to be more specific on the issues that you have, as well as logcats otherwise there is nothing any of us can do.
I port the rom for a500 from tegra owner forum and using gm kernel with it,
So far bug that i noticed just the gps and flash,
The gps won't start, in the gps log it mention something wrong with the hal configuration
And i noticed that the file in /dev/bus/usb/002 doesn't exist which were the configuration was set to look.
I'll explain more specific and take a logcat tomorrow,it's already 2 am here got to work in the morning,
Thanks btw for your reply
Edit: for the base i mainly using your rom,and take some other part from some different rom
here the logcat and gps log when i tried to used gps.

Your logcat is also indicating that you don't have 3g connectivity. I'm pretty sure the GM kernel does not have 3G support so no matter what you do and try to get working on this build, you won't have 3g connectivity. The first step to getting it to work is to find a kernel that has 3g activated on it.

A stock a101 ICS kernel should function well enough for testing this in 4.1.

That's what I was thinking too. I just might try that as i have had success doing the same thing with a TF300 to get 3g working

3g was working just fine, i've tried with several kernel including stock ics,
I'm interested in helping out fauntelroy, was going to start porting a rom, but there seems little point in re-inventing the wheel.
No idea if you're still working on it though, let me know, thanks!
Hi,
I am talking about those cm-11-201312??-NIGHTLY-maguro.zip from: http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=maguro&type=nightly
Maybe something is completely broken there?
Runs faster than CM10.2 stable?

gots it on my toro as of today. wanted to check out the screen record feature/app but cyanogen still says i dont have a device capable of running it lies
Running CM11 Nightly since 7 december.
Everything is working, its stable and smooth.
For my daily use it's ok.
Had only problems with auto-restore, solved with the right gapps package.
Try SlimKat
I tried the CM11 and wasn't impressed. Try the latest SlimKat Beta. I've been running SlimKat since their first Alpha release, and it has improved significantly over the past couple weeks. SlimKat Beta is updated to the latest Android 4.4.1 software which improved the camera's functionality. Only issue remains an occasional random reboot...maybe once per day, if that.

I've been running the nightlies since they became available and I've never had any problems. No reboots, graphic glitches etc.

Using the 1209 nightly, and the stability improved significantly compared to Euroskank's CM11 KitKang. That's all I can say, since performance stays largely the same.

I am running swordrune10's version for toro. I am having some trouble with the wifi switching, google backup/auto install apps on wipe and google play killing my battery but it runs great with art besides those issues.
I can say they work flawlessly. Huge improvement from 4.3, never had a crash / freeze, etc. It does lag a bit on received call, not a major issue for me though.
I've had wifi switching problems since 4.3 dropped. Its ok on CM11 but just barely
CM 11 nightlies since 12-6 have a major issues with LTE. Some users are either not getting it at all or having issues toggling between 3G and 4G in which 4G will not turn back on.
I have been using cm 11 since unofficial alphas and have had very minimal issues. I think the hand off issue fix was merged in the latest nightly as in the one you can flash tomorrow.
