[Q] Galaxy S Glide Freezes while usage during charging? - Samsung Captivate Glide

I have a Rogers Samsung Galaxy S Glide, not rooted. Recently, while using it during charging, the phone freezes and turns a yellowish tint with black lines going through it. Unplugging it causes it to reboot. While not charging, the phone works perfectly fine. Help?

Are you using stock charger have you tried different charger maybe a different battery

Problem: Random Clicking While Phone Charging

For some reason everytime my phone is plugged in it will click random things that I do not touch. I go to send a message and the phone can't do that because I cannot type effectively. When I try to unlock the phone it does random patters of trying to unlock but just doesn't work.
Can anyone help? It's randomly clicking everything when I try to text while it's charging.
Are you using the charger your E4GT came with? I purchased an aftermarket charger to charge my device at work & it did that. Made the touchscreen completely unusable while charging.

I am using the stock charger that it came with and it's causing the problem..
Hmm. Strange. Try charging via computer usb. If it still does it, I would check the cable.

Works fine with the cable plugged into my laptop but it charges to slow for me to keep it in there..
Crazy question: what kind of Bluetooth headset do you have?
I had this problem with the Samsung HM6450 with their app installed and running. Every time I'd hang up from a phone call I'd hear that weird clicking sound with the phone plugged in. If I unplugged it the clicking either went away entirely or was reduced until I rebooted the phone which would reset it entirely. But it was only with the headset on and I believe with the app running.
I can confirm this happening. A customer switched twice and each of the devices acted weird.
Another rep reported the same thing but only when charging.
I've never seen it on mine until we used the stock charger as I used the one from my rant. How ever it did happen on the stock charger but rarely.
Had another customer bring it for service stating the same issue as well.
Had same issue until I started loading 2.3.6 roms ek02. The one that came with phone glitches while charging.

So is there anyway I can fix this problem without getting a replacement?
I had the same issue! I switched to the Rogue Stock EK02 kernel and somehow that stopped it. Try using different kernels, that may solve your issue.

I just think some of the stock chargers are just not properly grounded causing issues with the screen sensors. I used the same cord and use an old htc charger and the problem went away. Tried charging with the samsung charger and got the same problems again with the screen being unresponsive and almost to the point where I can't use the phone at all.
Its the stock charger. Issues been known and reported since the release of the phone. Use a 3rd party charger and youll be fine.
mine did it with the stock Samsung charged head. Switched it with my old palm pre one and it works fine now

Thanks everybody!
Can anyone recommend a charger? Thanks!

[Q] Strange charging issue

I have a Galaxy Nexus running stock 4.0.4 (the issue occurred on stock 4.0.2 too). I recently got a Samsung extended battery, and at first it was working fine. But now after the phone has been on for some time, plugging in the charger doesn't cause the phone to charge. If I restart the phone it will charge fine.
The really odd thing is when it won't charge, if I plug the phone into a USB port (so I get the USB debugging notification) it then starts to charge. Unplugging the USB and plugging back into the power it then continues to charge fine.
I briefly tried my original battery and I didn't seem to have this issue.
I'm guessing the extended battery is duff, but am interested to see if anyone else has had this issue?
I have a an official extended battery a well but I don't have any similar problems. Have you tried different cables?

Yes, this happens with the Galaxy Nexus charger, my Nexus S charger and my Nexus One charger.
The Galaxy Nexus cable if plugged into the USB of a PC causes it to start charging again, then when you plug it back into the mains plug it charges fine.
Yeah it does sound like your battery is borked in that case. Probably want to see if you can get it replaced.

I just started having the exact same issue. It started happening after the 4.0.4 update oddly. I am running Skankwich which is based off the latest CM9.
I have seen a few others reporting this charging issue as well

Note 2 only charging when off

Hey guys, I'm having charging issues. I'm rooted and on jedi x14. I'm using the zerolemon 9300 mah battery. My phone started acting up about 3 days ago. I put it to charge all night and come morning it did not. When turned on, the charging symbol would not even turn on. I changed the battery with my stock samsung battery and it showed the charging symbol, but was charging at 0 mah on galaxy charging current so I switched back to the zero lemon. It said it was charging but it was still charging at 0 mah. I left my phone on and on the charger for 9 hours and it is still at the same percentage. I turned it off for about 10 minutes while plugged in and when turned back on, it went up 2%. While turned off, the phone will not even recognize that it's charging. For example, usually when my phone is working properly and turned off, it will show a big green battery showing that it's charging. Mine would not do this. When I try to turn it on when on the charger, it will show a spinning battery symbol as if it's trying to read the battery but goes away after two seconds. My phone will not turn on when connected and powered off. After unplugging it, it will boot normally. I am using the stock samsung power brick with a different cable that is 6 ft but would still charge at 2 A up until recently. The charger works on an s3 mini, s3, and s2 with no issue. Please help, any suggestions are appreciated. I bought the phone in November and have insurance with tmobile.

Any one? Also not charging when plugged into laptop via usb.

Now it's not charging at all. I tried using a micro usb to micro usb cable to pull some battery out of an s3 but that did not work.

Not gonna find a fix. It sounds like hardware. Try your orig cord. If it doesnt charge let tmobile deal with it via warranty.

Original cord not charging. Something weird just happened. My phone went into docking mode and I don't know how tk get out of it. It's not plugged in at all. I'm in a foreign country and can't replace the phone for at least another week. This sucks.

Try cleaning the contacts on your usb port. I was having a similar issue and it worked for me.

Charging issue?

hey guys, i've been having an issue with my N2 charging. Seems as though at times the screen shows charging, but after an entire night of charging, i unplug it and its still only at 1 or 2 % more than when i plugged it in 7 hours earlier. This is using the stock charger that came with the phone, i have tried my wife's charger and ger the same issue. But when i use the car charger it doesnt seem to happen. Is there any issues with this that others have had? I know my Galaxy S2 Skyrocket had some wake lock issues(?) with certain chargers, i used the app some one posted and as long as that was clear the phone charged fine. Would that app work for this phone? i'd have to find the link if needed
No one? Any one?

Note 3 charging/not charging

So I have a galaxy note 3 tmobile and I plug it in to charge via micro USB and it shows the phone is charging but the phone doesn't actually charge? When I try to charge it through the mains whilst turned off, it just vibrates every 2 seconds and shows a line across the screen as though something was going to show but stopped. Kind of thing you would see with a knackered screen. It works just fine when powered on and I don't have a spare battery. I know it's not the cable because I have 3 different ones and it happens with all of them. Anyone know what this is?? Please help

It sounds like a dud battery because of the screen issue you said (Sounds like not enough current is being supplied to the board) , i had a similar problem with my old note 1. Buy a new battery, or borrow someones and see if it works!
