Hi guys,
Does anyone know if the Samsung Galaxy S3 larger battery, 2100 mAh fit the GSM Galaxy Nexus?
This would make it a better option than the stock extended battery at 2000mAh
My initial suspicion is that the S3 is based off of the Verizon Galaxy Nexus chassis which means it might not fit.
This comes to my next point: IMHO, all these early reviewers are dumb ****s missing key insights like this and instead focusing on their dime-a-dozen cookie-cutter reviews.
The VZW extended battery is 2100mAh

Thanks for your response but I forgot to add that I was referring to compatibility with the GSM version of the Galaxy nexus. I know that the Verizon version is 2100 mAh

I know it's only a 100mAH jump (Global comes w/1750 and VZW comes w/1850) but with this phone the more battery the better! Just wondering if they are swappable.
No, different shape/sizes.
I was under the impression that there is only two versions of the galaxy nexus available: LTE and HSDPA. Telus and Rogers recently released their own devices and I was expecting to be all the same, but sources say that it's different. Telus galaxy nexus is not a penta, but quad and has the size of the nexus s.
Surely that is a typo?
Yes it is a typo
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
There are two physical variations:
HSPA/GSM Pentaband - Smaller thickness and battery (1750)
LTE/CDMA - Thicker and 1850 mah battery
There are, however, multiple different software variations. Some phones shipped with Google supported OS (yakju) and some with a Samsung variant (yakju**)
Aside from the thickness on LTE, all SGN phones are the same shape.
Can i use any nexus case. Ordered yesterday, shipped today.
There are now 3 variants of the Galaxy Nexus. The case could be designed for one of 3 kinds: GSM i9250 | Verizon i515 | Sprint Galaxy Nexus.
You should double check with the vendor to make sure you bought the one for the GSM variant.

Sprint & Verizon are the same dimensions. A lot of Verizon cases are compatible w/ the Sprint version.
I got just a generic Galaxy Nexus case for my Sprint one, and it fits perfectly, so I would think that they're all the same. Unless you have an extended battery, but that's clearly different.
Thanks i ordered direct from google. The HSPA model. Just wanted to make sure i got the right case.

Will the GSM Galaxy Nexus battery door work on the Verizon Nexus?
No, not without modification I believe. The clip positions are different.
Does the GSM galaxy nexus back cover fit the Verizon galaxy nexus? Standard battery btw. Thanks in advance
No I believe both the doors are different between the toro and maguro, making them non-interchangeable.
