I use PowerAmp and as you may know through Musicxmatch you can find lyrics going directly to it from said PowerAmp. I used to have mxm installed and it worked okay, until one day I decided to remove it permanently from my phone as the new update of app came around (they integrated music player and music recognizing). So I was wondering if any of you still has some old version of it with only lyrics function, w/o those new features? If you do, please do post here or PM me.

Hi there,
I´m not sure if this is the right sub-forum for this since this is my first post on this board.
Ok, so here is my problem:
I - proudly - own a HTC Desire and used to listen to the HTC music-player while using google maps navigation. On Android 2.1 it worked like a charm.
But then I updated to FroYo and since then it won´t run simultanously anymore.
What happens is the following:
I launch the music player
I launch the navigation app
When the first voice-output starts it mutes (or quits) the music player and won´t resume/reopen it automatically again
When I use a different music player it all work, again.
Also, when I use another navigation application (e.g. Navigon) the player keeps on working (but doesn´t mute...but I guess this is a Navigon problem).
A week ago I decided to root my Desire. For that I downgraded it to 2.1, again and used the ROM from ieftm. Unfortunately, I still do have this problem.
You may now ask "Why not use one of the other music players?".
The answer is: I "need" three points to be fullfiled by the music player:
Look nice (or at least not that crappy; for example...I don´t like the Astro player)
A working lockscreen-widget (this would eliminate the ³-player and DoubleTwist)
It should be possible to create a playlist-shortcut on the homescreen to be opened directly by this player
And...from all the players I tried the HTC player is the only one that has all this.
Anyway, I hope you guys can help me with my problem and answer some of these questions:
Has anybody an idea on how I could get maps/navigation and the music player working together again?
Anybody knows a music player that fullfilles all the points from above?
Anybody knows how I can set another music player to be opened with the homescreen-playlist-shortcuts?
Thanks in advance.
Just a quick question here.
Has anyone found a way to allow the built in music player to scrobble to Last.FM? I'm a Last.FM addict and I was horrified to realise my beloved Arc won't scrobble >.<
Cheers.

Cheers! Yeah I saw it a while ago so I might try it again. I really like the built in app but I can mix and match! The joy of Android
Winamp for Android also has a setting to scrobble, and personally, I think that the Winamp app is better than any other music app that I've found so far.
DoubleTwist also does scrobbling to lastfm
Try '³' it's 1 of the best music players, and you can also scrobble to Last.fm

Hello there.
I'm looking for app for changing the next song with shaking the phone.
I founded Just Shake, works great (trial), but I can't find no where full version.
On ipmart I founded v3.8 but I get a message license failed.
Please, where I can found this app?
I wish buy it but I can't.
Maybe some similary app? But must works with PowerAMP.
I hope you will help me.
Btw I tried PowerAMP Shaker Demo, it's looking good, but I don't need shake right for next song, shake left for previous song, etc.
Just one shaking for next song, just like on Just Shake.
Try Player Pro instead of Power Amp?
Thanks, I will try it. I've tried before a few music apps and PowerAMP is best for me.
Did Player Pro have shake for next song?
Download our rom. we have the miui music player v3 included. with this app you can skip to the next track by shaking youre device.

Thanks for reply, but I have official 2.3.4 and I don't wanna go on custom ROM.
Mod Edit: Warez Removed
Thanks for reply, but I've already tried that version few times and I get message: License check failed...

miui music player
I tried Player Pro and miui Music Player.
Player Pro not working very good, sound is every few seconds broking.
Miui player is not bad, but where is equalizer?
In options I turned on shake for next song and works great, but I still like PowerAMP.
I'm still looking for this app.
I believe what you are doing is asking for warez.
Please don't request for such things on XDA and please don't provide links for such either.
No warez request. Next one will yield a temporary ban. Thread closed.
What is your opinion? I have tried Google Play Music, TTPod, PowerAmp, CloudSkipper and that leftover player from Gingerbread that nobody wants
Currently deciding between TTPod and PowerAmp. The former would be the winner if it didn't have so much freaking chinese all over it.
What do you guys use?
Miui Music is my favourite.U should try it
Poweramp FTW
Poweramp

Well I personally like the gingerbread music player over the ICS stock music player, which is what I use (and I hate it), so I'm interested in using a different player and I can't wait to see what comes out of this post in the next few days. I usually just use Pandora when I'm at home simply because almost all the songs that play are songs that I already have on my phone, with the ugly UI for the stock ICS player.
Google Play Music here. It's very fast and smooth for me, even with 29GB of music.

Google Play Music here as well. With my music uploaded to Google Music, I don't have anything on my card anymore.
PowerAMP. The equalizer on it is excellent.
I was always under the impression that between the hardware & software of our smartphones, software equalizers are a mediocre solution at best. You can't really polish a piece of **** yanno.. maybe I just use ****ty headphones (I do) and listen to trashy music (I do), but I never had to really fine tune music coming from my phone's headphones.

Poweramp by far...however, if Google Music adds EQ and more list options like View by Folders, then I'm all in.
If you like the iPhone or iPod touch music player, you might like RealPlayer. It is not as feature rich as other players, but it's still pretty cool. Just try to forget the evil RealPlayer from the 90s.

I tried a lot of them and I got stuck with PowerAmp like many others here. The paid version is near perfect. If it has to be free I find the stock player not too bad.
Mike
I tried poweramp but I dont like how its constantly running in the background even after you close it. I didnt see a setting to disallow this.
So far Im just using the MIUI player but its a bit barebones as far as features go
Rocket Player is my fav.. has a super EQ!
Apollo if you want the apk PM me
I have tried quite a few music player and settled on Poweramp. I found once tweaked you can get good sound out of it. It is as flashy showing album art as other players. You can customize the sound to your like globally, album or track. You can have separate presets for speakers, headset and blue tooth. To the post above there is a setting not to run in background. There are a lot of settings, once tweaked it has great sound. I ended buying the pro version. My daughter loves it too. Also it will set variables in Tasker.
Everyone has their own taste and needs.

I'm currently using the JellyBean version of Google Music on my phone (he upgraded the google music player from ICS to JB in the rom I use). I like it so far, I mainly don't use other music players typically because I do not store most of my music on the phone itself.

As far as I know Walkman isn't available outside of Sony's official roms.. Spotify I never used so I can't say anything about that.
As for music players, if you don't mind paying a bit for it, everyone and their grandma is recommending Poweramp.
For a free music player I've been using BlackPlayer for a while now. It's not very famous but does everything I ever needed it to, including playing normally (all music on the device by track, artist, album, ..) or from a specific folder, fetching and setting album art, fetching artist info, It has a few inbuilt themes, a couple of widgets, playing by playlist... Look it up on play store, I think it's great.
how about google play music?

did you consider google play music?
For Online Radio (Shoutcast) I use Xiialive.
Its all about n7player been using it for 3-4 years now:good:
the EQ is great and the whole new spin on how to select what you listen to is refreshing
Try Xenoamp, totally different UI and a lot of cool features.
